Dragon Hing in West Lothian

Tried this place for lunch and loved it , kind warm welcome from last behind counter . Well priced lunch . The curry sauce is very good and the portion size was perfect for lunch . Chicken was tender and delicious 😋 definitely worth 5stars .

Tried here tonight on the recommendation from a reception lady in another take away I use, I must say I'm glad I ordered, very good portions and very very tasty, even got some extra free crackrs/spring rolls/mini samosas and curry sauce which I did not expect, also very tasty, I will be back! :)

Easily the best Chinese take away in Livingston right now. Spring rolls like i haven't had since the Jade closed 30-odd years ago. Every meal i've had in my 10 or so visits since i found it by chance have been superb. Photos are from numerous visits. i didn't take a photo at the time, but the beef chow mein was great too

Ham was tinned (spam) - disgusting. Chow mein was basically plain noodles and boiled chicken. BBQ sauce was inedible as it strangely tasted like dishwasher soap. Really bad meal, so disappointed.

Ordered chicken and sweetcorn soup, barbecue spare ribs, chicken balls, shredded crispy chicken in sweet chilli sauce with fried rice. Soup was thin and bland, plenty of chicken but next to no sweetcorn. Spare ribs were tough and had quite a few bone splinters in. Chicken balls, apparently, we're tough and didn't taste like chicken. And, the shredded crispy chicken was neither shredded or crispy. It was half inch stripe of chicken, some of which hadn't been sliced completely, and it was not battered. The outside of the chicken was dry and very hard to bite through. First time I've had to use a knife and fork to eat a Chinese meal. It was so much hard work to eat that I gave up half way through. I won't be ordering from here ever again

very small portion sizes, wont be going back, 7 chicken balls in sweet and sour chicken….thats taking he pi55, there are other restuarants

We have not had a Chinese Takeaway for a long time. Due to Covid our favourite Chinese the Royal Regent closed down and never reopened. We were recommended to try The Dragon Hing and did today 13/08/2023 at 5.00 pm Very small, very open plan and very spotlessly clean throughout. Staff were pleasant, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Food ordered was Chicken chow mein with extra added fried rice. Rice was a waste as the chicken chow mein portion was tasty & huge with large chunks of chicken. Beef & mushroom & fried rice, really superb! Stater BBQ spare ribs = excellent. Overall a huge portion for 2 greedy people. Pity we ordered bbq as a starter as the main course was more than enough. Then there was the FREE prawn crackers that we have not even opened yet. Overall opinion is 100% positive for quality, quantity, service & price. We would recommend this place and go back again. The tiny place of Deans, Livingston has an unbelievable 4 Chinese takeaways and this tiny outlet that appears to be a mom, dad & son operation easily completes on quality. I used to own a wholesale fruit and veg company ( 1980-1990 ) serving lots of Chinese outlets in the Lothians & Borders and this is certainly one of the cleanest Chinese kitchens I have EVER seen.

If I could've given this a minus I would've!!!! Disgusting. I wished someone would open a proper Chinese Restaurant with proper chefs. I don't like to bring down businesses but this all went straight into the bucket chips as well. I'm finished with Chinese food period.

The new owners think its OK to close whenever they want. Since old owners left food has also been disgusting he hang up on me tonight will not be back. And will make sure as many others don't either

Absolutely disgusting. Ordered munchy box and it came all soggy with grease and the food had hair in it. Worst place I've ever ordered food from and definitely won't be ordering again and I would highly recommend anyone to order from somewhere else

hairy greasy food. not edibal at all, and when i phoned i was told i will get discount. Fxck that no way i sill be ordering from there again even if they said it was free i still tell them to ram it

As a returning customer learning that under new management the standard of food was not as high as previously.The food although arrived promptly however the food was inedible and ended up in the bin. Definitely won’t be back

First time Ive used thus Chinese. Had a very safe chicken and pineaple but a sauce bit bland. It was ok but thats it.

Ordered a Singapore chow mein with thick noodles and a side of salt and black pepper chicken. They were absolutely delicious and had great flavours, highly recommend to try them out!

No taste at all, we ordered chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce and special chow main greasy with no taste and carrots weren’t cooked. Half way through couldn’t eat anymore.

Kung Po, schezuan and thin noodles are great options.

The delivery was prompt the food was great and it was served well as got a punchy box for my son and each this was in its grouped instead of just stuffed in the box like others. The soup was also nice and all arrived hot

Salt and peppered chips is literally table salt and pepper, the bbq spare ribs are dry and the bbq sauce is from the bottle and the chicken noodle soup is oily and has no chicken in it. Friend got sent the wrong thing and we had the order on our phone and they refused to believe they made the mistake, when asked for a refund they hung up the phone

Going downhill. Chicken wings overdone and small portion. Ribs were cheap and nasty

Use this place regularly and always have a great meal. The food is always super tasty and the service is always great. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Wouldnt go anywhere else

Meal deal was utterly vile,tasteless chicken noodle soup,chicken balls were barely covered in batter that could pebble dash a wall and the sweet and sour sauce was cold and had the texture of blood clots, the fried rice was tasteless,I tried my best to eat it but after almost breaking a tooth ,I physically vomited what little I ate back up,avoid it.

I love their food. It is full of flavour and no grease! I very much enjoy their salt and pepper chicken but all of the food my family have ordered from here has been fantastic and it has always tasted fresh. I know other people who order from Dragon Hing and they love it. Definitely worth a try! We will continue to order from here :)

Since moving into the area 3 years ago we tried all the local takeaways. Dragon hing was the best Chinese until recently. We ordered our usual Salt and pepper chicken wings to start. When they arrived there was no salad and the "wings" were not wings. They are a little bit of breast which has been scraped back and served. Needless to say they were tough, dry and tasteless. My main of chicken curry was also very bland. When i called, i was advised the manager would call me as we had been customers almost every week for 3 years. Not a cheep from her. Extremely disappointed in the service and the food quality as it has gone right downhill. We will never be ordering from Dragon hing again.

Place looks immaculate so ordered sweet and sour chicken food looked lovely until I tasted it my fried rice was greasy and sweet and sour had no flavour. Chicken batter was tough. DEFINATELY won't be back.

great chinese. great selection in menu and all meals that i have tasted so far have been fresh and tasty. slices of fresh ginger & veg and all very tasty and hot. have had a few meals now and all have been produced to a high standard and cooked infront of you. very interesting menu and meal options. staff friendly, establishment clean and service swift.

Dragon Hing?! More like Dragon Ming! Terrible. Sweet and sour Cantonese style had very little sauce, to the point only half the chicken had sounce on it. Pretty sure its supposed to be cooked in the sauce. Chicken also tasted rubbery, like sadness on a plate.. Salt pepper wings hand no salt and pepper on them not to mention flavour. Chip were no bad. But chips ain't hard are they? Takeaway Tuesday ruined. Dragon Ming!

Tried here as reviews were good and our usual chinese is closed at the moment Not the greatest chinese takeaway I've had, food wasn't that hot when arrived and salt and pepper chicken didn't look like chicken and unlike any others I've had Shredded crispy beef was soft and chewy Special fried rice was ok but full of peas to bulk it out Won't go back

Great food well cooked, never overdone. They are always happy to add or remove ingredients. Everything is cooked where you can see, so no shortcuts hidden behind closed doors. The staff are always happy.

Honestly speaking every time we think Chinese we think Dragon Hing.

Collected a takeaway as i heard good things about the place, pity how hear say isnt always right, the chicken in the chow main was dry, also got battered chicken and was far from impressed, i will not be back and would advise others to stay away.

Went in to collect a takeaway for my family on a trip to livingston last week, the chips were cold and dry, the chicken in the curry had a sour taste to it like it may have been past its best and left a strange oily taste in my mouth. My wife and son wasn't very impressed either. Most of it went to the bin.I was mostly disappointed because I had heard good things. Maybe now the opening stage is past, they just aren't trying anymore.The price was cheap enough, but you get what you pay for a suppose. Shame

Highly recommend the Boneless Munchy box, £13, or £14 with the chilli chips, will stuff 2 people easily very tasty

Hay docenas de restaurantes chinos comida para llevar en Livingston y creo que he probado la mayoría de ellos probablemente. La calidad de la comida suele ser bastante similar al otro lado de la tabla, pero tengo que decir que la comida que pedimos desde Hing Dragon era perfectamente cocinado, buena relación calidad-precio y es muy sabroso y tan bueno como cualquier cosa que hemos probado en Livingston y las zonas circundantes. Desde aquí será pedir más a menudo.

Pedimos Pollo Chow Mein, pollo y nueces de anacardo y pollo en pasta con salsa dulce y agria. Entramos a la orden y el personal era amable y el orden no tardaron en llegar, ya que no estaba lleno, pero no orden aquí. El pollo chow mein en mi era un poco seco como era cocidas y no había mucho de sabor. Tenía más grasosa/grasienta sabor que la de la salsa de soja. Probé el plato con los anacardos y el sabor que salsa era mejor, pero de nuevo el pollo era el mismo. El pollo en pasta tenía un montón de piezas y en realidad era bastante sabroso, el mejor del grupo, pero no fue suficiente para redimir el Hing Dragon.

Un amigo nos recomendó Hing Dragon ya que estaban empezando a ser decepcionados con nuestra regular para llevar chino. No nos decepcionó con Hing, la comida del dragón es precioso, el personal es amable y dispuesto a recomendar platos si no estás seguro de lo que quiere probar. Sólo pedimos tres veces desde aquí durante el último mes o así, pero creo que hemos encontrado nuestro nuevo ordinario para llevar chino y no vamos a ningún otro sitio. Me encantó el pollo ahumado rallado que nos recomendaron y los crujientes lonchas de pollo chili es el mejor que hemos tenido en mucho tiempo. Todo sabe tan fresco y no puedo esperar a probar más platos. Recomiendo encarecidamente Hing Dragon.

Esta nueva cocina cantonesa llevar en Deans es un tesoro de lugar y el personal son muy acogedores. Vine aquí para pedir por recomendación de un amigo y probamos la carne y tomate, Singapur Chow mein (con la opción de gruesa o delgada fideos) y Malasia un curry de pollo que era fantástico. La familia y yo disfrutamos mucho y volveremos por más!

Had a takeaway from dragon hing and is the best Chinese restaurant I have ordered from in a very long time, the staff were extremely friendly and very friendly added to the wonderful food made this a very enjoyable experience so will definitely making this my regular restaurant of choice
