Bien, ¿qué podemos decir de aquí más que en el tiempo que era un lugar para detenerse y comer como teníamos hambre en un viaje de regreso a casa desde el norte no era nada especial, pero igualmente no era demasiado malo, así que en conjunto era "normal".

I visited Waitrose and Starbucks. The staff in both concessions were so helpful and polite. Clean and well stocked with a good variety of facilities and choice.

Visited here during a long trip for breakfast, and was underwhelmed by the experience. We arrived at around 830, a time at which you would expect peak demand I would have thought. Unfortunately the company obviously didn't recognise this and seemed to only be employing three staff to cover the whole breakfast service (hot food, drinks, tills). There were around about four ahead of us in the queue but it still took over ten minutes for us to get to the front. Most people were ordering certain variants of the Full English Breakfast, but the staff clearly couldn't cope with the demand, as eggs were pretty much being cooked to order, and other items had to be constantly replenished. People were complaining that there eggs were undercooked due to this rush and indeed mine had a large layer of uncooked egg white attached to it. The rest of the full English was mediocre; really poor quality sausages, average bacon etc etc, and very underdone toast. The man serving the drinks had the easy job, although he was manning the tills too. There was no milk in the dispenser; I had to request some and he gave me a jug and asked me to take it to the dispenser! And all this for £7 - not good value. An OK option, but wasn't worth the wait at all.

A lovely traditional pub. Booked ahead & were told the 2 of us could be 'fitted in' but most tables empty while we were there. Good service from young barmaid but landlord didn't acknowledge our arrival even with a look. Sunday roast was huge & hot & delicious, great choice of veg & biggest Yorkshire pud I've ever seen. Spoiled only by the copious gravy being beef flavour for both of us, would have been nicer to have had matching chicken gravy with mine. Very good value, and we came home with a generous doggy bag.

We didn’t stay in a room. We rang the night before to book for lunch. We arrived as the pub opened because my dad was feeling cold outside and needed to sit down he is 92. We weren’t exactly invited in. We waited whilst all the signs were put out and the barman was very abrupt with us as if we were being a pain. He said that the coffee machine was broken so only instant available. I felt very unwelcome to be fair. I had brought my family here as we visited in October and had a lovely meal there in the evening. The food once ordered was fantastic but the whole occasion was overshadowed by feeling unwelcome. Such a shame as the previous experience had been so good.
