Nous y sommes allée pour leur bento à 10£, C'était bien nous n'avons pas trop attendu dehors, Nous avons commander les bento il y'a un large choix. Cependant quand nous avons reçu les bento ce n'étais pas bon, vous avez un mélange avec du tofu et autour une sorte de sauce avec de la gelée qui n'a aucun goût, vous avez également au choix un accompagnement donc viande ou poisson nous avons pris tous les 2 de la viande et ce n'étais vraiment pas de bonne qualité la viande est rempli de gras qui croque sous la dent donc j'ai laissé pratiquement tout mon poulet. Le riz était bon la soupe et la salade le reste était bon mais la qualité de la viande reste un gros point négatif.

Comimos aquí la última noche de nuestro viaje a Londres. Finalmente fue una decepción. El sushi no estaba en la misma calidad que estamos acostumbrados a comer. Pedimos el sushi bento, salmón de dos maneras, Yaki - Tori, Yumcha - Mori. Los Yaki - Tori y Yumcha - Mori eran buenos. Solo faltaba el sushi. En general, probablemente volveríamos, pero solo en un apuro porque hay un montón de otros grandes lugares para probar.

Análisis: Comer Tokyo Covent Garden Eat Tokyo en Covent Garden es el mejor lugar de sushi en Londres. Mi novio y yo hemos sido clientes leales durante los últimos 4 años, y nunca deja de impresionar. Comida para llevar o cenar - en, este es un excelente restaurante. Auténtica y excelente comida, servicio maravilloso y a un precio razonable. Este es el lugar.

Reservamos una mesa para la familia para el almuerzo, antes de ver un espectáculo en el Coliseo. Estábamos sentados rápidamente y pasamos algún tiempo revisando el enorme menú. Yo y los niños pedimos cajas de doblez, la señora y el in - las leyes pidieron sushi a la carta. El personal era encantador, y nos dio algunas recomendaciones del menú. La comida llegó rápidamente y las porciones eran masivas! Nos costó comer alrededor de la mitad, pero realmente estaba delicioso. Los niños realmente les encantó la experiencia y la selección de auténticas bebidas gaseosas japonesas en el menú. No hay ningún problema con la limpieza del lugar, como he leído en otras críticas. Para colmo, la factura llegó y era ridículamente razonable para la cantidad y calidad de la comida, sin mencionar la ubicación. Realmente no podíamos culpar al lugar, y volveremos cuando seamos los próximos en el humo grande.

Servicio al cliente sucio y pobre. Fui aquí con amigos y no nos quedamos mucho tiempo después de ordenar. The menu offers a wide range of Japanese dishes. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is good. A great place if you want to eat authentic Japanese cuisine without spending a fortune.

Group of 3 waiting more than an hour for a walk-in table. We were excited to finally get a table, order dinner and experience what we thought would be an excellent meal. 1 of 3 meals didn't arrive, and after waiting more than an hour after our initial order was placed and a half hour since the other two people received their dinner, "the ticket was lost" our server said. No attempt was made to rectify it with the kitchen, bring out another dish or fix the situation, only saying "Oh okay. Yes the ticket was lost. Here is the bill." So deeply disappointing leaving a place where you wait so long for dinner and it still doesn't arrive after ordering it. 1 of 3 guests left hungry that night, it was a major letdown.

Je moet even wachten voordat je aan de beurt bent, staat een rij buiten maar dat schijnt normaal te zijn bij navraag aan een Londenaar. Het wachten duurt niet lang en al snel aan tafel. Heerlijke verse gerechten en snelle complete service! Prijs kwaliteit is evenredig. Aanrader! Zeker als een musical bezoekt in de buurt is dit een heerlijk etentje vooraf.

Great value, fast and pleasant service, yummy food that fills an appetite. Its not somewhere to linger, the environment doesnt lend itself to it, but thats not a negative if you know this and you want a quick meal, in and out. The worst downside is that all the indian service staff, as lovely and friendly as they were, all the men stunk of bad body odour. Bad B.O. alert. The smell was rancid and wafted all over the 1st floor and definitely made me eat faster to get out. At one point I had to hold my breath. I urge the owners to speak kindly to staff about this issue, Eat Tokyo is a great place to eat, just the smell is definitely off putting to diners.

My second time here. Phenomenal and authentic experience each time. Fresh ingredients. Fast. Great food. No down sides. Highly recommended.

Si vous voulez manger japonais, allez dans un des restaurants Eat Tokyo de Londres. Très très bon, il y a du choix pour tous les prix, articles à la pièces, petits plats, gros plats, plateaux avec différents produits. Les gyozas était super bon et bien chauds. Nous avons pris un curry au porc (il existe la taille standard 10£ ou double 13£ : lunch time only/ midi uniquement). On ne connaissait pas la taille des plats donc avons pris une portion double, même si vous êtes un gros mangeur il est difficile de finir l’assiette tellement la portion est grosse. Conclusion : très bon restaurant japonais avec des serveurs très gentils et pour tous les prix (service très rapide)

This was my second visit to this branch, and it used to be better. Food is alway nice, but the service was not good at all! Staff is rude and has no interest in you as a diner, which is a great shame because the food is good.

I would like to have said this experience was amazing, given my love of Japanese food but sadly, it was lacking in several aspects. The problems started when I wanted to order a katsu curry only to be told that they had all sold out; so instead, I ordered a chicken donburi which had flavourful chicken but was served in a sauce that was unnecessary and lettuce that spoiled the dish somewhat. In addition, I ordered an Alaskan roll sushi to start but come halfway through the meal, which meant that I had already consumed two-thirds of the aforementioned donburi, leaving me with little to no room for the sushi. (a lack of foresight on my part). The service was decent which was the one saving grace.

Went there for dinner, first time at the restaurant. Was actually quite disappointed in the food - me and my partner ordered mixed sashimi and two bento. Before I comment on the food, I would like to say something about the cleanliness of the place. The table was wiped clean but it was sticky. Bowls and plates were a little bit wet when they were given to us. Not very professional - serving dishes should always be cleaned and dried before giving it to the customers. The floor was a bit dirty as well. Then the food. First, the sashimi was only okay, wasn't bad but the tuna slice was not fresh at all. Reasonable price but you could surely get something much better for the same price in Soho. The quality of the sashimi also looked quite different to the menu photos. Nothing like it to be honest. The bento was more disappointing, the rice was soggy because there was too much sauce poured on top of the rice. Chicken tasted like it was reheated, the meat and the skin was very soft. And they have put beansprouts in the rice that took up 1/3 of the space. For someone who came from an Asian background and eaten authentic Japanese food, this is not authentic at all. Overall, the service was alright, could be better. Reasonable price for Japanese food in central London but do not expect too much with the quality of the food. If you are opting for something authentic and a higher quality, I would not recommend this place.

After a three-hour event at the ROH we felt a bit peckish and decided to get a bit of Japanese food at “Eat Tokyo”, a place highly recommended by a friend. To say that it didn’t live up to our expectations would be an understatement. Upon arrival we were informed that last orders were taken at 10.30 so we had five minutes to get seated and decide what we wanted to eat. We rushed through an enormous catalogue and ordered a few small plates to avoid delaying the kitchen. The food didn’t exactly arrive promptly leaving us about 10 minutes to eat what we had ordered as they, apparently, close at 11.00 (although google maps shows 11.30). Throughout that time the restaurant staff (some of which have very bad BO) kept hovering around our table and picking up plates before we had the chance to finish. Despite repeatedly asking to give us five minute they kept coming over (a different person every time) pretending they couldn’t understand what they were told. The food was OK (hence the two stars). The experience was very annoying which put a damper on an otherwise lovely evening. I wouldn’t go again or recommend this restaurant to anyone else.

I’d had positive experiences in the past, however was apprehensive this time due to the amount of negative reviews. However, I can attest that the bad reviews do not mirror my personal experience this or any other occasion. Food is extremely well priced and the portions are absolutely huge. Great for a long lunch. Sushi took a little while but they had expressed that this would be the case so no issues there at all. Drinks and other dishes came very quickly. Service was far better than portrayed by other recent reviews, the staff were discreet and polite, didn’t make any mistakes. Food fantastic quality And if there’s anything else I can say - even come for just the beer. £4.80 for a pint of draught Asahi in central London in 2022/3 is ridiculously good value. I think perhaps many of the bad reviews are either by impatient, entitled frequenters of Covent Garden or are not genuine. Great stuff

My daughter loves sushi and was so disappointed. We waited for a long time (only us waiting), we could see there were tables available and staff ignored us. Whilst waiting we read the recent reviews on Tripadvisor and decided to not remain waiting any longer and found somewhere else to eat.

Not even a 1 star. This is the first time I got disappointed with service in Eat Tokyo. Book a reservation and mention about a family member that is disabled, when we arrive, they are unprepared and waited for almost 30mins also staff ask my Mom (who is disabled) to walk up to the stairs? Very inconsiderate and unorganised. I still love Eat Tokyo’s food but I wont recommend this branch. Who waits booked customers and staff/manager not even feel sorry for it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Doesn’t even deserve a star. We made a booking for tonight to accommodate 7 people along with a disabled person, but still waited outside for 20mins even tho we arrived early, AND surprisingly they asked us to sit upstairs and claim that it is only “A COUPLE STEPS AWAY” when it’s clearly a hike up for a disabled person. Very disgusted how they treated us. What’s the point of making a booking in the first place? we would understand if they could’ve just rejected us in the first place when we called in and explain to us why they wouldn’t be able to accommodate a table for us. Wasted our time travelling down for nothing. Such a horrible management

I’ve no idea why people queue to get into this restaurant. Food is decent and reasonably priced but service is casual at best and, as experienced during my visit last night, sometimes appalling. I had to remind the waiter to bring my drink, after food had arrived. Part of my order was missing and it was impossible to get waiter’s attention unless I’d shouted across the restaurant. As nobody was around to ask for the bill I went to cash register to pay. I explained part of the order was missing but received no apology and staff member turned back on me and began talking to someone else whilst I was speaking to her. When I asked for the 12.5% service charge to be removed she asked ‘if there was any particular reason why’ - then looked at me blankly when I explained service was poor and part of the order was missing. Similar experiences in the Soho branch. I don’t understand why this chain places so little importance on providing a basic level of service. I won’t be coming here again - there are lots of other restaurants in the West End which treat their customers with respect and not like cattle.

Although the place is quite affordable and the food is ok, you cannot ignore the very mean and rude treatment of the waiter. I have experienced this disrespect twice and it was the same guy, who seems like a headwaiter, and non-Japanese. In the first time, I ordered my meal and I wanted to plug it in because my phone was out of battery. While I was trying to plug it in, the waiter came up to me and said very rudely that you cannot use the sockets. When I asked the reason, he just replied that you can't just use it. Even though I asked the same question 3 times and expected a reasonable explanation, the answer I got was the same, more frustrated each time. The second time, we went there again because my friend wanted to try it. And I thought this might be a good opportunity to give them a second chance. But I was completely wrong. When we went, we were met with the same rudeness again. Only Japanese names of dishes were written on the menu. There was no explanation of their English name or their content/ingredients etc. So I ordered a dish that I thought was chicken from the pictures. But when they brought the food, they said it was pork. I asked if they could change it because I don't eat pork for religious reasons. The waiter scolded me and said that I should have asked before ordering, that it was my fault and that I had to buy this dish. Finally, I got the food and had to exchange it with my friend. No customer deserves such treatment and rudeness, even if this is entirely my fault. It could have been explained much more politely. Moreover, they had to include a description of the contents of the meals, including the allergens. It is obvious that this waiter is quite rude which is not suitable for the profession of the waiter. One of the interesting points is that restaurant owners don't seem to care at all. Therefore, I would advise people going to this restaurant to think twice. It's not hard to find another restaurant where they can have a much nicer meal, with much better treatment.

A big disappointment, I just landed late in the evening and my hotel send me to this restaurant.i came there at 22:30 enter and the waiter came to me and said : sorry we are close. I told him that the hotel said it's open, and even on their door it's written opened till 23:30. He said yes, but last orders are till 22:30. Another two waiters came to help him and to repeat that last order till 22:30. The place was half full, but I guess this is happening when the business is with employees. They don't understand customer service, and that clients are the fuel for the restaurant. I am really sorry I interrupted their serinity. And for the owner I will give advice to put outside a doorman to block enterance already at 22:15 , to avoid incident like that. I won't go there, and in my next week I will tell everyone I meet here about this bad experience.

Long wait for the table. The mains comes one by one with long wait in between, as one person's main dish is finished then the the next person's arrived. Absolutely chaotic. The service has rapidly gone down the hill over the past 2 years. Shame.

Really love this place. It's excellent value for money given the area. Food is fresh and made to order. You can watch the sushi chef at work. There is an extensive menu so don't be afraid to ask for guidance from staff.
