El Mercado in Wirral

As someone said a couple of weeks ago: "Wow!" More than enough tapas for two for under £ 50. Great variety, incl. enough vege options, and friendly service. I'll be coming back next time for the 'all you can eat'.

THE MOST DELIGHTFUL AND DELICIOUS FOOD!!! :) this is my favourite thing to get for a little treat when i'm home alone or to treat the family, the food is amazing and so fresh; i got mango and pineapple salsa to try and was NOT disappointed!! everything is so perfect and moreish thank you so much :) the delivery people were so kind even though my house was difficult to find (im very sorry) i do love el mercardo very very much

Wonderful delivery driver and good food. Plenty of it. I ordered the loaded nachos and kids quesadillas. Would order from here again.

WOW! Attended last week and it may have been the best food I have ever eaten. The flavours were incredible, service was fantastic and the restaurant was lovely and clean. I will definitely be making this a regular place to eat out. What a gem of a place to find, I am so glad I went in and gave it a try.

Tried their Mexican Month menu and the chipotle burger was amazing 🤤 Can’t wait to come back and try all the other tasty things, 10/10!

Just had a delivery from El Mercado which was spectacularly good. We'd tasted food from here at a local farmers' market some months ago and wanted to try more - we weren't disappointed! Beef burrito, chicken fajitas and - oh my, the homemade nachos were amazing. Highly recommended.

I think we may have found our new favourite weekend treat. This place does the best nachos i have EVER had and the portion sizes are great value for money. The delivery lady is very nice too and is always pleasant. The desserts are smaller but are absolutely divine. 5 stars from me and the mrs. Cant wait to try more bits of the menu.

Food was absolutely delicious, portion sizes are fair. They did miss the nachos on the original delivery, but they promptly rectified by calling me and making some fresh nachos and sending them right back out for delivery.

Called in to the new El Mercado Latin American restaurant in Upton. It's still a work in progress, as you'll see with the still in-development outdoor bar, in what I think should most appropriately be referred to as the 'Jardín de la Cerveza', but very much taking shape as a lovely taste of South America tucked away in Upton. Well worth a visit if you're passing through this neck of the woods 🙂

The food was absolutely amazing, the staff were so polite and friendly. I order the chicken fajitas and it was fab, the chicken was so juicy and flavourful aswell as the veg seasoned to perfection. Would 100% recommend.

Great friendly place. I called in ahead of my reservation to see the menu as I'm vegan. The owner was so friendly and accommodating. I had vegan chicken fajitas and they were amazing. A lovely Pina colada finished off the evening. Highly recommended! Thank you so much!

Went to this new restaurant today for a celebration & honestly could not fault it! The staff were so friendly & helpful, the food was delicious and the service was great too. The owner & her mum made us feel so welcome (and loved the baby we brought with us!) Definitely cannot wait to come back! If you want a fab restaurant, friendly staff & delicious food - this is a Mexican restaurant for you!! 🌯

Recommended by my sons who live across the road, we attended the sampler menus and totally recommend the food here. Upton needs diversity and El Mercado is a bold addition. Warm atmosphere, helpful staff, a variety of food to suit all tastes, what’s not to like?

We've been meaning to try El Mercado since it opened and finally made it last week and it's really worth a visit. Great food that's well priced and lovely staff. We even had a sneak preview of the patio at the rear that's starting to look like a good place to chill.

Arrived at 7.30 with group of 10, didn't get our meal until 9.30 despite being the only customers there. All meals were served individually at different times to the point were some people were finished before others had received there's. Steak was the worst I've ever had. Staff lovely however food appalling. Wont return.

We are fans of Elachi and this extension into Latin American food is a gamble that has paid off. Great experience. Knowledgeable staff to guide you through the menu. Go and give it a try.

Superb ĺaltin american food. Quiet as it is newly opened but the food was excellent. Very good choice and godd latin 👏ametican choices. Mexican or South american and excellent quality and price. Service from the 2 young staff was great and friendly. Drinks good and a good choice. Would recommend this to anyone and hope it gets busier and they are successful.

Warm, welcoming and very attentive staff. We had the taster menu which was perfect portions to get a great taste of the food on offer. The food was amazing.
