El Paso in Sheffield

We were greeted by the host, Ciro, and it was immediately a great start to an amazing night. We were a group of four and the table was a great size for us. The music playing was lively, but not intrusive. Very fun as well, adding to the ambience. The menu was full of excellent choices, without being too big. The food was made fresh to order, so wasn't quick to the table, but I certainly wouldn't have said slow at all. Each dish came hot and presented very well. They tasted amazing. A great experience of spice, herbs and fresh ingredients. As well as the host Ciro, the rest of the staff were friendly and accommodating. Date night prices, but the portion size are more than fair. Especially for the quality of the food. I absolutely would recommend El Paso and am very much looking forward to my next visit and having another Huevos Rancheros.

El salmón estaba muy bien cocinado, y me gustó mucho los entrantes. ¡Los calamares también fueron geniales! El personal nos atendió tan bien, y nos dieron el gusto de tomar tragos de tequila de cortesía en el bar para completar la noche. Muy recomendable!

It's been a while since I last visited El Paso, but it definitely didn’t disappoint! The service was fantastic, and the food was excellent throughout. The salmon was cooked beautifully, and I really enjoyed the starters. The calamari was great, too! The staff looked after us so well, and we were treated to complimentary tequila shots at the bar to round off the evening. Highly recommend!

Had the best time at El Paso, we ordered the beef chimichangas, chicken enchiladas & a side of cheese bites. Highly recommend the beef chimichangas. Chiro our server was fabulous, and even gave us a lovely chocolate shot to end our meal. Brilliant service! Will be back

He estado aquí una vez (para mi propio cumpleaños a principios de este año) y todavía no conozco un lugar mejor para celebrar un cumpleaños - la energía y el entusiasmo que el personal aporta a las celebraciones de cumpleaños es simplemente el mejor! Mención especial a Ciro que nos hizo reír a todos, y disfrutamos teniendo un boogie al final de la comida. Sin duda volvería!

Came here at the weekend for a Christmas working do . Not much to look at when you arrive, but looks are deceiving, team were brilliant and accommodating and the food was gorgeous, we had a group of 23 people and not one person said otherwise , team kept the drinks flowing and created a great atmosphere. Would and have recommended and we all would love to arrange another experience at El Paso's. Thank for a wonderful brunch.

I ordered Mexicana pizza that states tomato, mozzarella mushrooms onion peppers and sweet corn as per just eat menu. ordered for a vegetarian but it arrived with jalapenos and pepperoni. not happy

Fantastic food and service first time visited

There was chicken in the vegetarian burrito, which was specifically ordered for a vegetarian. A side order of guacamole was never received. The chicken chimichanga was not a chimichanga but the same as the vegetarian burrito. Really poor

Vegetable burrito and enchilada was bland and tasteless. The spicy tomato garlic bread had about 5 jalapeños on it and barely any chilli so not hot at all. We paid extra 50p for the mains to be extra hot and there was no spice at all.

Always good food and good service. We had the meat balls and calamari both were really good. We both had the pollo Al horno. I’ve had it before and really loved it so husband really wanted to try it. I had mine with vegetables which came with potatoes broccoli and carrots with mozzarella cheese on it. Husband had chips with his. The chicken was cooked perfectly with a delicious sauce with tomatoes olives garlic asparagus. It was so good. I couldn’t finish my potatoes but husband finished them off with the left over sauce which was to die for. Can’t fault the food or the staff and we will definitely be back. The complimentary tequila was great.

We had a fantastic team dinner at this restaurant yesterday, and it couldn’t have been better. Sonal provided excellent service, offering spot-on recommendations that made our meal even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, with flavors that truly impressed everyone. The team also made our colleague’s farewell extra special with a candle-lit setup and lovely music, creating a memorable atmosphere. We went to El Paso for a colleagues farewell party, we had an amazing experience with the best service provided by Mr. Sonal with taking care everybody's preference. Amazing staff and amazing all around food is to die for all freshly cooked and the cocktail here is top notch. Went for Birthday Brunch and absolutely loved it. Best venue for birthdays. Definitely worth the visit.

Where do I start the food is lovely the staff was lovely but however the manger he takes advantage off his staff firstly everyone is paid differently which makes no sense he under pays 18 -19 year old when the min wage is clearly £8.60 tried to do this with two girls, had a 16 year old working behind the bar which is illegal ontop off that never paid in time which is also not allowed. The tall chef he threw something at me nothing was said at all other then at all. People got called in 2/1 hour before if he wanted them to work. He lied and said he told people to get other jobs when this was not the case at all when he was hiring other people. Anyways the food may be nice but the way this place is ran is unethical and takes advantage off young staff.

Not Mexican nor Tex Mex. But still I found something halfway decent on menu. The tortilla chips with cheese are okay though (but not worth a visit) and can easily be made at home for 1/10 the price. If you know what actual Mexican food is, even Tex Mex, do not go here. You will be disappointed. Middle eastern spices and italian style sauces are used. I have been here twice and will not go back (I'm of Mexican American descent and from Texas/California).

The presentation is gorgeous but there was mostly vegetable, red kidney beans, rice and the tortilla that you couldn't even pickit up or hold it because as the little stuffing just fell out. nice but not worth £12+

We visited yesterday 5th October 2024, what can say but unfortunately it got a bit ridiculous, it was a bit unclear when we got there whether they had my booking, our second round of drinks was forgotten about, my side order came out with the starters, 2 of our starters were forgotten about, we had to ask for a pizza to be re done as we had asked for pepperoni and it came with loads of chillies so too spicy for one of the kids in our party, I would say there is a Mexican influence in all of the meals even if you order from the Italian side of menu so if you don't like spice it's probably not for you, the quality of the food was very good, portions good aswell, issues were rectified and my son found it hilarious when they brought him the birthday sombrero and the sparkler candle attached to a free drink that was very nice, just service a bit sketchy and it seemed there were some communication issues

Popped in to pick up a takeaway. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was decent although I'm glad I went for the largest burrito (seafood) This came with rice. Added on a salad too. Tasty and hot Short walk from the Leonardo hotel.

Me encanta la comida mexicana y fui a El Paso. Cuando me dieron la cuenta eran 25 libras. 95 . Di 30 libras. 95 y cuando el recibo volvió me habían dado £ 6 en cambio! Volví con el camarero y le devolví el exceso de cambio y le di una propina. El ambiente es increíble. El servicio es realmente fantástico. Están tan ocupados en ese lugar, pero siempre recuerdan mi nombre - ¡ten en cuenta que tengo un nombre famoso! La comida es increíble! Como podéis ver en la foto pedí un burrito vegetariano. Esa ensalada claramente se hizo fresca el día. Esas verduras eran tan frescas que debieron haberlas tomado el día. No eran de la nevera en absoluto. ¡Esa lechuga estaba tan crujiente como el hielo en una mañana de invierno helada! Ese arroz era ligero y esponjoso. El propio burrito. ¿Qué puedo decir? La foto no le hace justicia. Estaba lleno, sabía divino y era agrio. Esta fue una auténtica cocina mexicana. Me sentí como si estuviera en México. Las preguntas de siempre. ¿Valen el dinero? Buena relación calidad-precio a 10 veces el precio. ¿Iría allí otra vez? Por supuesto. ¿Recomendaría El Paso a alguien más? -Claro. ¿Qué le aconsejaría al público? Bájate ahí abajo. Te encantará.

The Enchiladas kinda suck. Not crispy at all and seems a bit cheese heavy. Tasted closer to a Lasagne as not really that spicy.

We were the only customers in. Admittedly it was a Tuesday night but it was very very quiet. The food was average, and not particularly authentic. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful though.

Food was good although a bit over priced for the standard. Service would probably be better on a normal evening but unfortunately they were having to deal with a difficult group party of around 30 people.

We attend as a group at least once per year when we go to Ponds Forge for swimming competitions. Always good service and good food. There is always at least eight of us and we are always well looked after.

Had dinner for the first time with a mate yesterday. Both the food and service were amazing, smashes Chiquitos out the park. Only reason why atmosphere gets a 3 is because bizzarely we were the only customers in the entire restaurant. However I highly recommend this place and it is fully halal which is a plus. Will deffo be visiting again.

Had a 18th Birthday meal for my daughter with 20+ guests attending. The customer service was outstanding! The staff were so helpful and polite. They helped to decorate the table for me in such a quick and timely manner. The food was excellent and was delivered in good time. Drinks included cocktails which were very nice. No complaints from my guests and they all praised the venue food and service. There was a dj present and the music was very accomodating for all guests present. He even sang along to some of the songs. The cost of the evening was very reasonable for the experience and catering that we received. It was overall a very enjoyable night and would definitely visit again.

My mate ordered from here via just eat. The rice had 6 staples stuck together in it. Phoned to raise the issue and the manager didn't seem bothered at all, he just said they only use staplers for attaching the receipts to the bag, almost like it was a hint i put them there myself. I haven't owned a stapler since high school and even if i did the staples wouldn't have jumped into the rice by itself. The manager said he'll speak to the staff involved and he'll send me a voucher to my email which he re-read back me, the voucher never arrived in my inbox or junk mail. Not that i would order from here again anyway. They would of had bigger problems if me or someone else had swallowed them but this seems to have gone over their heads. I'll be contacting environmental health in the meantime.

I’m sorry, but what are all the 5 star reviews about? The food was AWFUL. The nachos were absolutely terrible and the cheese on top tasted like the cheese from those frozen pizzas you get from Tesco. The mocktail was quite bad as well, mainly ice and too expensive for the quantity. Like c’mon, it’s not even real alcohol, why so stingy? The music was way too loud and we literally couldn’t have a conversation with each other as we couldn’t hear each other. The staff was sweet and quite attentive, so not much to say there! I wouldn’t recommend for Mexican or Italian food. We didn’t order any “Italian” food but I saw the pizzas they were serving to another table and they looked absolutely awful. I hate leaving bad reviews but I felt ripped off. The prices are way too high for the quality of food.

I was very skeptical about this place at first, but given that it was valentine's weekend and everywhere else was fully booked, I made a reservation. Upon entering the restaurant, my uncertainty grew - the decor is a bit dated, there was a man singing what sounded like mexican karaoke, and the laminated menus on the table had food encrusted on them. However, we went ahead and ordered a few things from the very strange array of dishes on the menu, and we were very pleasantly surprised!!! The food was really flavourful and lovely! The servers were friendly, helpful and chatty. By the end of the meal, my partner and I had accepted the dated carpet and cheap decor, as quirks of the place. Our meal turned out to be quite enjoyable, and I would eat here again.

Came in last minute at 10pm on a Sunday night , all the wait staff was very accommodating , food was quick and tasty and we even got complimentary shots are the end - would recommend to anyone 👍

We went to the bottomless brunch for my sister's hen, we had an absolutely fabulous time, the food was great and the drinks very tasty. The service however was fantastic, the whole team were so lovely, attentive, celebrated everyone's birthdays and my sister in a really wholesome way. Would really recommend!

The food was lovely as always. I was also incidentally very impressed by how hot the fries were! I've never had hot fries from a takeaway delivery before! The delivery must have taken a good half hour as well from town. The restaurant had obviously been really careful- wrapping them in foil as well as putting them in the padded heat retaining delivery bag. Also I love the cocktails. A huge treat

Great food, with a buzzing alive atmosphere 👌 our host Ciro was amazing adding to the lively culture of this little Mexican restraunt, a multitude of different dishes to suit a wide range of palletes from seafood to traditional Mexican dishes was on offer, personally as a seafood lover I throughly enjoyed both of the muscles starter and seabass main. Cant wait to return highly reccomend.

Wrong items delivered - ordered burritos, received chimichangas. When I phoned them, the person I spoke to tried to convince me that they were in fact burritos (?) when they'd written chimichanga on the boxes, and wouldn't send the correct order out. Tried to convince me that a chimichanga is a burrito. Weird experience and poor service, would not recommend

I went to El Paso for dinner today after it was recommended to me by a friend and didn’t regret it at all. The staff was super friendly, nice and the food was delicious. If you are looking for amazing Mexican food in Sheffield then this is the place to go. Ask for Ciro as he is the one making the place amazing

Lived in Sheffield all my life and this is the first time in this restaurant (where have I been for 40 years) I I am sat hear with my family and friends, What an amazing place the staff are amazing ( Ciro especially) and as for the food 10/10. We will be back soon thank you

I really enjoy the atmosphere within this restaurant it really stand out from any other restaurant i’ve been too. The service is great and the staff are attentive which allows the rest of the customers to feel comfortable.Also the food is flavourful and never lets me down .Overall ,a great restaurant and i would definitely recommend !

Amazing cocktails and the amazing celebration provided made the occasion extra special. The food was delicious and not a long wait for it, the short time we did wait, the staff at El Paso entertained us during and we had laughs all round . Brilliant atmosphere will definitely be dining here again for special occasions.

Went for a friend’s 30th birthday on Tuesday 5th. There were lots of us, yet the service was so quick and we all received our meals at the same time. Food was delicious - all the starters looked great and my enchiladas were really tasty. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and they couldn’t do enough for you - especially Ciro - who got us all up doing the Conga through the restaurant for the birthday girl which was great fun! Really enjoyed our evening at El Paso and will definitely return!

Ciro was absolutely amazing! He was so warm and friendly, and his impeccable service truly made our dining experience special. The atmosphere he created was just delightful and we felt so welcomed and appreciated.

We came here for my dad's birthday and I couldn't recommend it enough! The staff were great and entertained us all with sombreros, birthday music and also had my daughter dancing up on the table at one point! We had a brilliant time! The food was a bonus, delishous!

Last week, I visited El Paso with my lads to have an early evening meal before going on to see a show... The service was great, the food was excellent we had a laugh with the staff... A very laid back friendly atmosphere.. 🙂🙂

Wow what a place. Always had this place recommended to us over the years and can't believe it's took so long for us to try. The atmosphere in this place is great, such a fun lively vibe which left us laughing and smiling. The service was fantastic - it feels like nowadays we have become accustomed to average service etc but the staff could not do enough for us, check ins on food, drinks etc and the manager come over with our server at the end of the night to make sure we had had a good time etc. The cocktails were great and the food was delicious. We both had fajitas and the flavour/seasoning was great and for us good value for money. Seen some reviews about price but for us it seemed reasonable for what we got. We left feeling like we had had good food a good laugh and really enjoyed the experience, that I definitely think it's somewhere for people to try.
