Recuerdo este restaurante hace 4 años. Pensé que todavía era lo mismo, así que llevé a mi invitado a cenar. ¡Qué decepción! a pesar de ser el viernes por la noche, el restaurante estaba completamente vacío. Después de cenar, entendí por qué. Mi entrante descrito como paquete de queso era algo lleno de maíz y ni siquiera se podía probar un queso. Para las principales pedí Fosh y papas fritas y comí un pescado congelado que entró en los cantones del personal. ¡Sin sabor ni nada! ¡Asqueroso!

Late booking, party of 6. Ordered various steaks all came out cooked to perfection. For the quality of the meal the price was excellent, wine was good. We will be returning when in this part of London again.

I hate to give this place a 1 star as I have been eating here for years. But leaving Navid in charge is the main reason. We had two bookings on open table and two groupon vouchers. 2 groups of 4. We asked Navid if it was okay to sit together he said yes and brought the tables together. When we told him we had groupon he refused to take the bookings. Saying it’s his rules he will only except one. He refused to check the open table booking clearly showing there were 2 bookings and did not seemed fussed to loose a booking when the restaurant was empty. I tried reasoning with him as this was a celebration for my birthday but Navid was not accommodating. I was looking forward a nice big ribeye and a bottle of Malbec. But while Navid is there you have lost a customer we will no longer be returning customers.

Didn't start off well. Used a Groupon voucher, which was explained by the waiter. Ordered a drink and iced tap water. Waiter came back with a 1.5 litre of bottled water, which I sent back and another waiter brought it out again, telling me they cannot serve tap water as it was not pure. I told them they have to provide free water by law if alcohol is served and if their water is not pure they should be shut down immediately. They eventually relented brinking out two glasses. RIP off service charges, overpriced drinks,noticed nearly every other table had bottled water as a lot of tourists in who probably didn't know their rights. Bottled water was nearly £6 ! Very average food which would be way overpriced if the menu prices were paid. They have changed the name from El Toro to Toro Dorado, probably because of the terrible reviews. They badly RIP people off and I have reported them to the local council trading standards team.

Very quiet. Maybe it was the time – Saturday lunch.Has a very, very casual feel. Oddly not lit up very much, almost run-down feel?The starters were very, very basic, and not used much ingredients, or much cooking, but considering the price, not unreasonable. The steaks were well cooked, had a quite strong chargrill flavour, which I enjoyed, but the quality and freshness of the meat is not great. I could taste the lack of freshness in the beef. I’d say the steaks are overpriced considering quality. Cooked well though.The waiter rejected our request for tap water. During the ordering, we each said which steak, how cooked, with chips/baked potato, but 3 out of 4 times, the waiter asked which steak, then chips/baked potato, then how cooked, even though it had been said, just not in the order he wanted. Think of it what you wish; this doesn’t affect the score below.Overall score based on the food 7/10

Al igual que otros, teníamos un cupón y lo que estaba o no incluido fue señalado cuidadosamente antes de ordenar. Got a group on voucher for two steaks. After reading the reviews I wondered if I’d done the right thing. However we sat down, we’re served initially by a young man who explained what we could have on the deal. Exactly what I understood it would be. The meal came quickly and was absolutely fine. Just steak and fries plus a bit of salad. I had rump, medium, perfectly done and the t was no more or less than fries were good. My wife had rib eye and was also pleased with what she received. For a basic meal in a basic restaurant it was absolutely fine.

Habiendo pedido 6 filetes entre nosotros. La mayoría de nosotros pedimos medio raro. ¡2 de los filetes salieron casi vivos! ! No son los mejores filetes del mundo. El grano de pimienta fue soso para mí personalmente. En cuanto a la comida. No fue mejor que la media. Pedí un jugo de naranja. Y lo envió de vuelta ya que era horrible. Intercambiado por una coca cola ya que no puedes equivocarte con la coca. Y aún así, cobraron por el jugo de naranja. El servicio estuvo bien. El gerente no aceptaría la tarjeta de sabor. ¡No volvería corriendo a menos que tuviera mucha hambre y yo estuviera en la puerta! !

Steak was average, frozen chips, salad very poor. House wine £27, service charge added for unknowledgable staff. Toilets were bogging, joinery done with heavy nails by a toddler. £178 for 3 steaks a bottle of wine, robbing hobos, no wonder your place is empty!

This place seems to run with people who dont have a clue what they are doing. We went for a steak and overall our food was good and the service from one of the staff was also good, it was clear that there were problems. I've never been to a place and sat and listened to so many other customers complaining. The young waiter was useless like he'd been thrown in without any training on his first shift, having said that a basic level of competence would be expected. We will be going back to the area in the future but never this place. The 3 star rating is generous and mainly based on the one waiter who was great and he was trying to patch up the mess and trying to keep us happy. We thought it was a bad night at the office and maybe a one off but clearly reading other posts it seems to be th norm. Shameful way to run a business whoever you are. Oh and they charge 15% on top of the bill too for so called service.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Myself and my sister visited here for dinner after an event at the Olympia. The staff seemed young and inexperienced with no idea which customers needed what- no organisation whatsoever.Both me and my sister ordered burgers, I ordered the blue cheese burger. Waited ages to receive and I instantly sent mine back, a basic burger with a couple of measly bits of old blue cheese. I sent it back and it came back with one scabby but added.The waitress came back to check and I said it still wasn’t satisfactory but I just got brushed off. Neither of us ate our food, for the prices they charge it was worse than a crummy takeaway. The bill came and I was disgusted to find as well as it coming to over £40 they charged a service charge! I managed to get this and the two burgers removed*It should also be noted that my sister had a dead fly on her plate! And the sauce they are serving was out of date, as well as the fire alarm being covered with tape (pictures will be provided)*

I visited Toro Dorado as a group of 6 people - we had heard about the offer on Groupon for 2 courses for a reduced price, which was available for groups of 4 or groups of 2. Therefore, we purchased one voucher for 4 and one for 2 and booked a table at the restaurant. All seemed straightforward, the waiter confirmed the booking, took my name, and asked if we had the vouchers - to which I responded with yes. However, it all went downhill upon arriving at the restaurant. We were seated, and shortly after were informed that only one of the two vouchers we had purchased can be used, despite there being no word of this on Groupon, nor were we told anything along these lines when ringing to book the table. The waiter responded in a very unprofessional, immature manner, repeatedly telling us that the manager said that we can't use both vouchers and it was part of the restaurants policy (where these 'rules' are - goodness knows?!). We asked to speak to the manager, who was apparently cooking in the kitchen - I have never been to a more cowboy establishment before, and quite frankly their behaviour was laughable. My friend had to basically break into the kitchen to tell the manager that this whole situation was a farce, and sadly it ruined what could have been quite a nice evening. Thankfully Groupon allowed us to cancel the purchase and we got a full refund. Naturally, I can't comment on the food as we didn't get as far as being served, but to be honest I had a bad vibe as soon as I walked in. The place is dark and dingy, the drinks looked far too overpriced (£5 for an alcohol free beer ?!?), and alarm bells start to ring when all bar one table was eating - everyone seemed to be waiting for food. The place is in dyer need of hiring some more staff, preferentially with some manners. I shall never return to this establishment.

Lamb shank was okay, but staff are rude - really wasn't worth our time or money. The steaks, especially the fat, were chewy and unenjoyable, the reason given was that we chose them medium cooked. The fillet steak had a really odd taste, and even the salad was stale. "We don't usually have Muslim customers" the manager/cook said, which didn't make sense in context and we're not even Muslim...

Compré un Groupon para un filete (que no estaba mal). El groupon dijo ensalada libre. Así que le pregunté a la niña y ella dijo que te sirvieras la barra de ensaladas. Cuando llegó la factura, me cobraron por ella y luego me dijeron que no era gratis y que Groupon estaba equivocado. Dije que incluso lo aclaré con usted y no es mi culpa, así que no quiero pagar por ello. Y entonces ella dijo. . . Can’t recommend this place highly enough if you find yourself ‘stuck’ out by Olympia. Excellent piece of steak & cooked pretty close to perfect. Had it with a green chili sauce, rather than a traditional pepper/mustard, & that rounded off an excellent meal.. Would definitely return if our this neck of the woods again.

Went there with my partner the drinks were flat everything was deep fried and the steaks were perfumed when we told the staff they argued and even gave us a service charge.i would advise to swerve this establishment as it was diabolical.definalty avoid.

Gave our booked table away even though we phoned to say we were running late. They seemed to struggle to understand us. Offered a joint table or staff table!Waited ages to order food and drinks, waitress didn’t speak good English.They refused to be flexible on the voucher which was frustrating after our initial poor experience.Then the problems really started. People started walking out all around us having not eaten anything! Then they didn’t have the wine I wanted. Then they didn’t have the second wine I wanted! In the meantime there were questions about our food. We ordered our food 3 times and it was never written down. It didn’t help that the music was thumping so they could hardly hear us! In summary it took us an hour to get a drink and two hours to get our food! The steak was edible but the chips were cheap frozen oven chips! I’d never go back and never recommend it to anyone!

No No No, this is one of the worst. Tough to describe. Not Argentinian and not fresh. Stay away and do yourself a big favour.

We called in the late afternoon and we found they still had the lunch menu. The wine, although expensive, was a delicious Malbec and the rib eye steak and veal we had were superb. They had an unlimited salad bowl. The service was excellent.

Fui hoy con un amigo.Para empezar, el lugar está decorado con un tema principalmente español.La comida no estuvo mal, pero definitivamente no fue el mejor filete que tuve.Las bebidas eran bastante caras.Nos sirvió una chica española que era encantadora, muy sonriente y servicial.Lo que no me gustó más, es que pusieron un cargo por servicio de% 10 en mi factura, que no tengo ningún problema en pagar, pero cuando le pregunté a la camarera si la estaba recibiendo, ella dijo que no recibió ninguna. .Intenté dejarle algo de dinero, ¡y ella dijo que tampoco reciben las propinas en efectivo! !Principalmente por eso, no regresaría.

Terrible place just stay away!! I had a food poisoning after half an hour in there and they kept telling me that the food was fresh!! We paid 60 pounds for rubbish buffet and meat soaked in blood and next day my gp said that I caught a virus because of the food I consumed there!

Just had the worst “homemade” frozen burger I’ve ever had the misfortune of eating. Not having had a thing all day I had to eat it but boy what rubbish. But apparently the steaks are good so stick to that...

Usando el cupón de Groupon fui a cenar con mi esposa. Dos filetes de costilla eran muy buenos, sabrosos y jugosos. Chips OK. Cóctel De Langostinos Sabroso. Copa de valencia blanca grande  8. sesenta y cinco . Lamento falta ambiente, pero el personal es amable y eficiente. Pagar el precio completo de la costilla puede ser un poco caro, pero definitivamente es una buena idea si uno compra la comida a través de un cupón de Groupon. Resma de hielo muy sabroso.

Bad news. Drinks are expensive Good news. The steak is good The menu is large with something for everyone. Service is a bit hit and miss but actually it adds to the charm of the place. I liked it, and and will go back.

Been here many times alternating between Chicken Fajitas and steak but the steak is where it’s at. Sirloin 300g with some hot sauces and a glass of Malbec. One of the best sirloins in London and very reasonable (18.95). If you’re visiting Olympia or at the Hilton, it’s the perfect place for dinner.

The question is if the meat was really from Argentina, or the menu was written in such a way, that the customers would be under the impression that they are in Argentinian steak house. The chips were very good.

In zona Hammersmith, questo ristorante ha anche il nome di Toro Dorado. Molto buono il servizio, con personale cortese e disponibile. La carte è buona, con buoni tagli e cottura. Il locale è pulito, con molti tavoli all'interno. Vengono serviti piatti sudamericani in generale, ma non solo. Buono se ci si trova in zona. Buona la scelta delle birre e dei vini. Ampia scelta di carni.

So nice to find a steakhouse that cooks steak with South American flavor, not the bland English steak you get used to living in the UK! Get the rib eye with chimihuri sauce - great meal! 5/5p

What can I say about this restaurant, service was poor, the food poor, cold, over cooked and bland. If you are looking for somewhere to eat in this area there are a number of other restaurants in close proximity that I wish we had tried....

Traté de enviar mi pedido 5 veces, cada vez incorrectamente. Esto hizo que un total de 8 veces entre nosotros 7. Servicio inexistente. No tuve una sola disculpa por el mal servicio o la calidad de la comida.Evitar, incluso si estás pensando que es una opción más fácil si va a asistir a eventos Olympia.

We loved it. Six of us -- ages 11 to 79 -- were well treated and well fed, with some of the best steaks on either side of the Atlantic. That sounds a bit over the top? Maybe, but, at least the night we were there, the steaks compared well with The Palm, Ruth's Chris, Morton's and America's other high-end red meat emporiums. EVERYTHING was cooked to a perfect medium rare-- always a bit of a gamble when ordering steak abroad. Plus, the wait staff is determined to ensure everyone has a great time. Be careful about over-ordering....most everything is easily splittable, especially once you order the spectacular side dishes.

Había muchas muchas cosas malas es difícil elegir un lugar para comenzar. Guacamole era de color gris. Ya que venía de una tienda es incomprensible que podría arruinas solo estudiando en placa, pero estos chicos no. Lo más probable es de anoche. After seeing the mixed reviews I decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt. I wish I hadn't. There is no atmosphere at all. I was expecting a friendly vibrant Argentinean welcome but instead it was overly formal and very quiet for a Friday night in London. Just 3 other tables all the time I was there.I went with my dad for a belated father's day meal. The waiter was clearly new to the restaurant which I had no problem with, everyone starts somewhere. Although when asked a question about what the lamb shank is cooked in he told me 3 times that it's on the bone and the sauce is separate. I wanted know what type of herbs or spices were used. So I chose the rump steak instead. My dad also had rump steak. The cut of eat was good and the flavour was excellent, however I asked for rare (dad had medium). Mine was cooked more than his, it was medium/well, a long long way from rare. Which considering the menu tells you exactly how they serve the meat was a disappointment. The accompanying jacket potato was raw. I sent it back and asked for chips instead, which the manager cooked and delivered to the table. He did not ask if the rest of the meal was ok or try to talk to us at all. He apologised for the potato and walked away quickly. The veg that came with the steak was awful! It was clearly cooked at the beginning for the night and left in a warmer. It took away from the quality of the beef. The peppercorn sauce was a very strange consistency and colour.I would definitely not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning. Which is a shame as it's close to my dad's house.

Specialises in steaks, which are of the typical south American good quality. Pleasant environment and very helpful staff. Great value if you can visit with a Groupon. Wine can be quite expensive.

Took my kids and bought a groupon meal for 4. Never again!!!!! You may think you’re getting a good deal but think again. Steak may be acceptable but nothing else in that restaurant is. Calamari felt like a batter that was just breaded.... and so tough. Then they charge double the price than any restaurant in drinks, whether it be soda or juice. I was curious how they manage to offer a 2-course meal for only £38. I soon found out.... as mentioned drinks are not included and offered at horrendous prices plus they charge 25% service charge. For £38 meal, service charge is £10 against 12.5% in most restaurants including Michelin star ones. Really.... don’t bother!!!!

On Google this restaurant appeared as Toro Dorado opening times 11.00a.m.-11.p.m. I rang and reserved a table for 5 at 3.00p.m. Wed 13th December, On the day 1 of our party tried to extend the booking to 9 and was advised there wasn't a reservation under my name. I was alerted and when I rang the restaurant was told they would be closed by 2.30, the website was incorrect and I should not have been told 3.00 would be ok. The lady said she would contact the man I had spoken to originally and call me back in 5 mins. Needless to say I didn't receive that call.

Avoid this establishment if you want to have a nice Argentinian meal in Argentinian restaurant. Place has got nothing to do with Argentina, the manager/owner and the staff from Bangladesh, there's no Argentinian wine or food, just an average overpriced/dated stake house. I'm easy to please and I love trying food therefore we got ourselves Groupon deal. The restaurant was empty, the food choice looked good on the menu but as soon as starter arrived it became clear why the place its empty. I got The same fish cake you get in any fish and chip shop but totally dry and priced at £5, other starter was cooked and overcooked from frozen too. To keep spirits high we decided to get some wine and your local supermarket wines ,usually priced around £5, were astonishing £28 per bottle or £7 for a large glass. Never-mind , got the wine finished the dinner (the stake was good and cooked accordingly to my request, chips however frozen) and when we got the bill we decided not to pay service charge, as we felt the service was not great, rather confusing with arrogant approach, we instead wanted to leave a small tip to the waitress who at least tried her best. After the payment the manager and the owner (we assume) started to argue with us, pointing out Groupon voucher where it says the service charge is discretionary, in their mind thinking it means it says YOU MUST PAY! I'm not an aggressive person so I didn't want to argue any further and paid remaining balance. One thing for sure we will never be back, not in a million years and this is my first such negative review in years, people who run the place clearly don't care about the long term business all they care about is how by spending less MONEY get more silly people through the door for one time only, London is big city so surely that is how they survive, I would be surprised if they have any regulars and I would be totally gobsmacked if they take any notice or advise from the feedback they get.

We visited here on a groupon special and the steaks were excellent and cooked to perfection. However, the place needs decorating and service was certainly not worth the added 25% ! Even though the door sticker says they accept Amex, the staff insist they don’t. Without Groupon prices are high, especially drinks, a large Coca-cola is £4.65!

This place is advertised well but is very deceiving . The staff customers service skills are poor and they are very overwhelmed even when the restaurant is only half full. Food is average , but like pub grub but the steak was alright . Cooked quite precisely to my request but a lot of fat on meat. The veg must be microwaved frozen veg and the drinks even those of the soft kind are ridiculously over priced and the service charge is ridiculous considering the standard of service . I wouldn’t go here in a hurry again but I wouldn’t totally say it terrible .

Stopped here for lunch after mooching around a conference at Olympia. Our first impressions weren't the greatest as the menu on the door was different (and cheaper) than the one we were given at the table. Having said that we worked out that by sharing the 3 steak dish (cant remember it's name) it would work out about the same. Dish consisted of a rump, fillet & sirloin (I think) and they were tender and tasty. Our waiter didn't seem perturbed by our request to share a dish and even bought a spare plate out with an extra portion of chips and veg for us, so kudos to him. The side veg was a little disappointing but otherwise the steak, chips and a side salad we ordered were all good. The restaurant itself was a bit on the gloomy side - could really do with a new coat of brighter paint, but as we were a bit on the late side it was nice and quiet so we could at least hear ourselves talking. Wines struck me as a bit pricey but I wasn't really paying attention to what was on offer. Our meal for 2 worked out about £40 - so quite pricey as lunch goes but the steaks here are certainly much cheaper than the more well known Argentinian steak house in London.Would probably go back and try it in the evening next time.

Así que nos detuvimos aquí porque la mano y flores era estaba abarrotada. El personal parecía confundido y muy inexperto. Y ni siquiera intenta hablar español porque no entiendo. No me malinterpretéis. El plato de tapas que teníamos era delicioso y el vino blanco de España era potente, pero cuando les dices que te gustó las alas de pollo en el plato y me gustaría más, no les diga que no tienen un plato de aquellos. Ellos hacen un plato y cobran un precio justo. Especialmente si todos sus otros clientes han dicho lo mismo.

It’s strategically placed to attract those like me wanting a quick lunch during a conference at Olympia opposite. From the lunch menu I ordered a prawn cocktail which lacked all finesse comprising chunks of lettuce thrown into so as to almost fill a glass then topped with prawns smothered in a Marie Rose sauce. Then a rump steak more medium than medium rare as ordered and a bit grisly in places. Chips were good. A peppercorn sauce a thin goo the colour of grey wallpaper paste. Service when it came to paying a bill (all the above plus watery espresso and shandy plus VAT £38) excruciatingly slow.

Been here lots of times using a Groupon and never had any problems. Although this review is from May 2017 I will be visiting this weekend so will give a more thorough review then. Always found the waiting staff very friendly and they explained what we could have off the menus. YES you have to present your Groupon at the beginning, it does state this in the fine print of your voucher. The food is always delicious, although I agree the wine is very overpriced. I'm looking forward to returning.

Poor service and not flexible on food preferences or inquiries or alternatives. Our waiter was quite impolite and it seemed to us he wa not in the mood to work. Food was good.

Visited this evening using a Groupon for 4. The wait staff were polite and attentive, the starters were ok .. nothing special, the steaks were quite good. Wine overpriced but ok. Then when we came to pay the bill we had a full scale argument with the 'manager' because he didn't want to accept the Groupon that we had pre-booked with. Despite reserving weeks in advance, and ordering items within the limits of the voucher he insisted it couldn't be accepted because it hadn't been presented at the start of the meal (when we were the only people in the restaurant having made a groupon reservation) and because of VAT ????? Only after a shouting match between him and us that resembled a scene from Fawlty Towers did another member of staff (middle aged lady) intervene to talk some sense. This manager(?) has the worst customer service skills I have ever experienced. DO NOT VISIT IF YOU ARE USING A VOUCHER.. If you are paying full price you should also look elsewhere as the prices are not competitive. I feel very sorry for the waitresses having to work for this clown.

Por supuesto, es caro, pero dada su ubicación que es sorprendente. Filetes y cordero estaban cocinadas como solicitada y de una calidad razonable. Familia que era tranquilo, pero a mano cuando más solicitados. Lo suficientemente bueno para un almuerzo rápido o una cena temprana, pero no para una noche de flash. Volvería de nuevo.

I ordered an Argentinian ribeye steak and chips through Deliveroo. This did not taste like Argentinian steak at all..in fact it tasted identical to the ribeyes I get from Tescos. It was bland and also pretty unseasoned. Very disappointing.

I am really fussy about my steak as it doesn't always come how I would like it but this was definitely one of the best I had, the service was also some of the best I have had every time my wine was empty it was topped up straight away (I had a bottle) I would definitely come here again if I had the chance

This is probably one of the best steaks I have had in the UK. Service with a smile and kept topping up our drinks. Very friendly atmosphere, didn't feel rushed. Steak (rib eye 14 oz) just melted in my mouth was absolutely delicious.

Had pasta which was fine although 13.95 is pricey but hold on to your hats, glass of red wine (house 250 ml)....... £8.15 and it isn't great wine.

My sister decided to treat me to a dinner on Saturday night and purchased the Wowcher deal for 2 to dine at El Toro. What a HUGE disappointment for what should have been a lovely Saturday night meal.
