Have been to elixir numerous times as it’s on my doorstep, I’ve also left a review most times because I think they deserve it, went for bottomless brunch with my mum and sister and had a fantastic afternoon, the food was lovely as usual and I’ve had this brunch twice previously and still can never decide what to order. Pizzette and Caesar salad with fries, the drinks were also lovely and fast friendly service, we had the mango rum punch which was great, we also treated ourselves to a porn star tree… the staff are great and nothing is too much trouble, always smiling and helpful , so glad elixir is within walking distance for me

We had been twice previously (Myself and my Wife) and enjoyed the selection of food and drink however this time was unfortunately very much different in a massively negative way. Previously the selection included meatballs and patatas bravas however this time around the menu was packed with pizza choices and a couple of other options however on the website the menu is still listed completely different including soaked prawns, chicken hot pot @ £29.50 which seems to be an old menu which is what we expected and should be deleted from the site. The choices this time were very limited especially for those like myself who have Crohn’s disease. The menu lists skin on fries but clearly weren’t. The time is limited to 90 minutes rather than 120 previously and the drinks menu is very much aimed at female clientele and extremely limited to males as the only beer choice is bottled Budweiser and the rest sweet based cocktails, etc which was really disappointing despite them having much nicer beers on draught. Even my Wife mentioned this to one of the members of staff who said that mostly the bottomless brunch is attended by ladies in their 20’s. Maybe an extra charge to enjoy having a pint of CruzCampo or alike would be allowed. The service on the whole was very good especially Adelina who made our visit really enjoyable, she was so attentive and pleasant, a credit to the business. Overall a deeply disappointing visit and we both agreed we won’t be returning and part of a large friends and family group chat we advised of our experience so others don’t suffer the same dissatisfaction.

Amazing place in a great ambient street. The service is fast even on a busy day. The food is great , very tasty and well priced . Definitely coming back!

Luckily, I have this restaurant in walking distance to my home. The ambience, service, food, and prices are fantastic. If you like a roast, especially with belly pork, It's not to be missed and also at a good price. Couldn't help but add the extras on, too...(shout out to the cauliflower cheese) I don't think I have been disappointed yet.

Went here for my other halfs birthday and had an amazing time! staff where lovely, food was great and the staff even made a fuss her because it was her birthday:) atmosphere was nice and it's just a pleasant place to be. Try it out because I will definitely be returning!

everything about our experience at Elixir was perfect, bottomless brunch was superb and our glasses were never empty! A big thank you to the staff who were very pleasant and attentive. We will be back!

Good choice tapas, drinks reasonably priced, occasional live music or DJ. Part of the local young trendy scene.

Sunday roast dinner was simply the best I've had in years. It was ambient, amazing service and I recommend Sunday lunch to everyone. 2 courses, we had delicious desserts instead of starters.

First time visiting for a family meal to celebrate our son’s 30th birthday. We had booked in advance, my son and his girlfriend arrived before us and told staff the booking details but the staff still tried to sit them on a table for 2 not the table for 6 as booked. We all ordered our food and the starters arrived ok, but our mains were not served together, it was like they could only bring them out one at a time with 3-4 minutes in between and then only half the sides turned up. We were then informed they had got the order wrong so a further 10 minutes later the other sides turned up but by then our mains were cold. Our Drinks orders were forgotten and I had to go and find staff to chase up , again another excuse given. The whole thing was a disaster and staff couldn’t have cared less. So I wouldn’t waste your time or money as there are better restaurants with better service close by.

Just got back from Elixir and felt the need to get online and leave a positive review. My friend offered to take me for lunch, he said he had heard of a cracking place in Oxton that serves outstanding food at very reasonable price, well he wasn't wrong. I had the following from their lunch menu and I was left licking my lips after each course. The staff were very attentive and polite; the bar and restaurant are elegantly furnished and kept spotless. Starter: Barbecue sticky chicken wings with ginger and toasted sesame seeds. Main: Red chickpea and spinach curry with coconut cream, spring onion wild rice. Desert: Elixir pavlova, meringue and white chocolate roulade, whipped chantilly cream berry compote. All in all a very enjoyable experience and amazing food, I will be returning tomorrow to treat my wife and daughters.

Very busy due to being Fathers Day so quite noisy from late parties. However, the service was good and food excellent as always.

Shocking experience, went in on Saturday evening with my husband for a drink, very quiet 4 staff behind the bar and I stood there for over 5mins without an acknowledgement or being served absolutely shocking I will never go back You need to give your bar staff some people skills Shocking

A group of us went on Thursday evening for dinner , the staff where great and service really good, food was really tasty, the seafood croquettes are amazing!! We had lots of dishes between us all and it’s difficult to say what was the nicest!! A singer was on also last night and he was really good..

So annoyed and disappointed. Been here many times before so thought it would be a solid choice for a nice evening. Took my friend here for a bday meal and catch up and it was a lovely quiet environment to start with, as is my usual experience, and we were looking forward to at least two courses and a good catch up. Unfortunately this was not to be because a live act arrived and started playing a ridiculously loud set of cover songs right next to us. So weird given people were trying to eat meals together, it wasnt in any way the right environment for this. It was totally inappropriate. What we had planned to be an hour or two of food and drinks and catch up ended up being a half hour of rushed eating and then paying up so we could get away from the noise and bad 90s covers and just go back to my friends house for an instant coffee in order to actually be able to hear each other. Bizarre that they would pay for this kind of act and be happy to lose business as a result.

Was very disappointed after hearing such amazing things about this place. We booked a bottomless bring for my friends birthday. The service is such a let down waiters are so rude, don’t smile and made us all feel very uncomfortable like they was talking about us behind our backs. Food was lovely and drinks were okay when we eventually got a drink.

Visited for my birthday for bottomless brunch. The food was outstanding. A good range of cocktails and even though it was busy they made sure we caught up with our drinks. Would 100% return. Thanks so much for a great birthday elixr. They gave me a birthday desert treat which was a fabulous touch.

We visited Elixir on the recommendation of family. The service was very good and the food was also excellent. The portions were surprisingly large for the price. The staff working the day we visited were very helpful (we took a 7 week old baby with us) and went out of their way to make our restaurant experience as easy as possible. Absolutely would come back!

Amazing food as always. I was a bit disappointed that they have changed their tear and share garlic bread, but still 5 stars. A busy Wednesday and only 1 member of staff serving, so we had to wait, but the 4 stars is down to this, not that the waitress didn't give good service.

Comfortable atmosphere. Food is fantastic. Jessica & John are very friendly and cheerful. They deliver very professional service. I love all the food that Jessica, the restaurant manager recommended.

We visited for Sunday morning breakfast. Plenty of parking and surrounding area is nice. Restaurant is nice and perhaps the tables to the rear are better, but were being saved for the Sunday lunch service. Breakfast options were decent and food was a 4 out of 5. Cofee could've been better. Toilets are reasonably clean but need modernisation. I think they were a bit short staffed hence service a bit slow, but staff were friendly and amiable.

What a fantastic afternoon we had for my daughter in laws, Baby Shower, Rebecca was fabulous, nothing was to much trouble. The food was delicious and the desserts to die for. What an amazing afternoon we all had, thank you so much x

Absolutely amazing night at Elixir. Everything was great. Had the lamb tacos and the cod, which was beautifully cooked. Finished everything with an exquisite chocolate fondant, huge props to the chef as it was perfect. The drinks selection was very good and the service was also very attentive. Fantastic evening.

We celebrated Mother's Day and it was one to be remembered. The food and service were great as always. The staff are so friendly and attentive. There was a band on and they were fantastic. Created an amazing atmosphere with everyone singing along. Brilliant night.

Lovely relaxed dinner on miserable cold day. Visited on spec, bit early for lunch, but staff made us very welcome. Liv in particular very attentive without going over the top. All the food was excellent, only complaint the chips were too hot (joking). Very efficient, apologizing for the wait, which was only a few minutes to get the table ready. Absolutely spot on. I have a sweet tooth but pavlova was a bit sweet, suggest raspberries or passion fruit to bring down the sweetness rather than strawberries.

Only one here at opening time so as I like my own company the atmosphere was good 😂Nice Breakfast this morning. Good quality ingredients, good portions and good value too. And a bonus that the coffee was also good. I’ll be back.

Simply the best Sunday roast in Oxton and surrounding area. It was busy today but staff friendly and attentive and the roast beef was perfect melt in your mouth stuff. Loverly mixture of people and children and great atmosphere.

A great bar with fine ambiance, ideal to take to impress. I first went to Elixier about 18 months ago. I was immediately impressed. I started attending in the morning for its excellent breakfasts. The quality of products are really good and the staff are all socially skilled

My wife and IWent for an evening meal and drinks here. Wow, the food was fantastic and my wife loved the cocktails. I will definitely return when I get the chance.

Spectacular experience last night at Elixir. We were a large group of 17, and the team were so professional- from ensuring everyone had drinks to ensuring food was served promptly and together. I have eaten here a few times and I always enjoy it. On this occasion it was very busy but we were looked after very well. There was a long wait for the bill, but they prioritised serving the food, so I couldn't complain about that. The staff were friendly and attentive. All in all a great experience.

Went tonight for our dinner myself and my partner, couldn’t fault the meal at all, I had the lamb and my partner the chicken. We demolished the plate. We have a sharing ciabatta for a nibble and it was delicious! Will definitely recommend!!

Delicious food. I had the prawn stater and a garlic bread to share Devine. It was a Sunday so we had a roast, which was delicious especially the gravy. I would love to visit again with the main menu.

I’ve always looked at Elixir as a place to go in the evening, smart casual dress, great food and a great atmosphere… …however… …as I recently discovered, Elixir has another side to it, daytimes are a much more casual affair. Welcoming the dog walkers and passers by, looking for a great breakfast, coffee or lunch. I’ve always loved the evening food but this new discovery has me regularly going there for the best breakfast and nicest staff in Oxton and beyond. Highly recommend!!

Went to try the new Autumn menu i had seen advertised, it was Stunning every single plate was amazing and the staff were amazing too. Love this restaurant have never had a bad meal all the times i have been and i do frequent the place quite abit, looking forward to going back to try some new plates on the menu

I would happily stand and applaud each delicious small plate we were served for our tapas lunch here ...AND the coffee! The price was so reasonable. Tasty, tasty stuff - no photos because we gobbled it all up :D

We were visiting this area & booked after walking past. I rarely give reviews, but am in this case as we really loved the food. The tapas formula with a selection of small (but not tiny) is excellent. Each dish we had was beautifully prepared & excellent. The staff were accommodating & friendly. We would be booking again if we didn’t live so far away!!

8 of us for daughters birthday. Food was mediocre, the service was dreadful. The staff stood by the till chatting away taking no notice of guests needing drinks etc. Really need to up their game before people stop going. Such a shame as the place itself is lovely
