Its like sitting in an old fashioned book shop in a nursing home with OAP chairs, a broken piano (shame), lots of antique old furniture and books to read. A quaint place. Coffee and sandwiches a bit expensive, starting from £5. Coffee £3

Had been eyeing this place up for a few months but went in to grab a quick coffee for the train. Staff were very lovely and made an incredible mocha! Can’t remember the last time I had the choice of what chocolate they would melt in. Didn’t have anything to eat but only because I was headed elsewhere. Definitely worth a visit

This is a really comfortable cafe at Barking Station - well worth stoping off for coffee and cake or lunch. The sandwiches are made with tasty bread and served with salad. The chairs are comfy and surrounded by books. Service is friendly and coffee good. Much the most comfortable cafe in the vicinity!

An unexpected hold-up at Barking station so took a lunch breakand found this place. Had freshly made chicken panino (toasted) and nicely dressed green salad, a cappuccino and an organic ‘Curiosity Cola’. Nice. Seriously, it is worth getting off the train at Barking!

A lovely coffee shop tucked away in the railway station. Coffee and snacks are delicious, and their customer service is always excellent. The best place in the area.

I’ve been a regular visitor to Chequers Corner Brewers Fayre, and it’s always a fantastic experience. The food is consistently very good, and you can tell great care goes into preparing each dish. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The value for money is excellent, which keeps me coming back time and again. On this visit, the carvery was especially good – the meat was tender, the vegetables were perfectly cooked, and everything was fresh and delicious. It’s such a reliable place to enjoy a meal, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! Looking forward to my next visit.
