Food arrived promptly. Food was tasty and all of it was hot. Staff were pleasant and just the right amount of presence not pushy. Would recommend. Will go again.

The new manger half feels the drinks and is very rude about it talks to staff like there below him which made me feel very uncomfortable as my kids notice it jot a good experience

Lovely pub, great atmosphere, manager andrew was running around the restaurant with the other staff members keeping them in check. Will always come back great value and great food 5star service

Place needs a good clean. Menus are filthy, tables are sticky, cutlery needs a hot wash

Updated review. Haven't been in a while. Whilst one member of staff here is great, friendly and infinitely helpful, another was blunt to the point of rude. Food took quite a while to arrive and when it did 2 dishes (Burger platters) were stone cold. We did get refunds for them but rather disappointing.

Manager is lovely so helpful and friendly found us a table as we hadn’t booked Freya and Keira were polite and couldn’t do enough for us the food arrived really quick so didn’t have to wait long for it we come here a lot and will continue to do so

Went here for a work catchup. Listen, it's not Michelen but they have great deals and there was nothing to complain about. Special shout out to Michael, working the tables. He put a massive smile on our faces and was a credit to the restaurant, working his backside off with such a great attitude and excellent service. Thank you.

Went as a walk in table of 12, manager and staff were able to accommodate us with the restaurant being fully booked 😀 can't thank them enough for great service and squeezing us all in at such short notice

Cheap and cheerful, good selection of breakfast and lunch menus. Also great deals on particular days ranging from 2 for 1 burgers etc. you will have to check the menu as it might have changed. They show sports and also have a pool table so a great start before a night out !

I had a pleasant experience. The atmosphere was nice, and everything was well-organized. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the manager was approachable and made sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. The food was good and arrived promptly. Overall, a solid choice for a casual dining experience!

We have family get together there every 4week. Great meals and friendly staff. Shame the manager is leaving.

Nice pub, very quick service. The burger was fabulous, nice, decent sized portions also. A minor frustration is they are charging £2-3 for a glass of squash which is quite ridiculous. For a coke I can understand but squash, no.

Went for a drink and some food with our dog as the sign as you walk in said dogs are welcome if kept on a lead, once in the pub my wife was told to go and sit down the far end and told to keep our dog off the carpet, when sat down our dog was on a section of carpet about a ft wide and the manager came over and said get your dog off the carpet. How bloody rude! Don't say I can bring my dog in then behave like that, as you can imagine we did not order food and will not be back. Also the state of the toilets was very poor, not clean! Seemed very short staffed.

This place has definitely gone down hill, firstly I must say all the staff were lovely, but that was the best it got. 12 of us went for a birthday meal, when we walked in we were told their gas had packed up so there were no fizzy drinks or pump beers, I suppose this couldn’t be helped but was disappointing. Then the food, my grandsons chicken wings were tiny and looked very dry and unappetising, the garlic bread the same, I ordered a lasagna , this tasted cheap and nasty, half way the small portion I realised there was no meat and I had been given the vegetable lasagna (I think), also the side salad was absolutely swimming in dressing. Then my mum ordered a latte which turned out to be a mug of hot milk, this was quickly apologised for and change by the friendly staff. The staff are lovely and work hard but he food has sadly gone downhill (and it weren’t as if it was busy)

Nice chilled out played pool in the adults only area which is nice and chilled. Usually drink and eat at the shoemakers in tuckswood, Norwich which is ok but not a adult only area there. Made a nice change. Good service and value

We had an amazing breakfast, 15 people in our group were super pleased. All served on time and hot, quality food. The assistant manager Andy and his staff were very polite. Great experience, highly recommended.

Everything was great, food was well priced and tasty, service was wonderful, only extremely minor complaint is possibly a little more butter with the breakfast toast!

The food is budget and microwaved but not awful. The service is mostly pleasant. The atmosphere I find is dependable, it’s a family pub but was put off on one occasion but a particularly rowdy family with wild children speaking profanities. Other than that it’s mainly pleasant. However, upon my most recent visit as we sat outside after our meal watching our children play a HUGE rat ran accross the play area. Needless to say we promptly left after that!

I've always enjoyed my visits to the fieldfare, the staff are always happy to help even when they are flying about super busy. The food is tasty and the beer is good. I'm yet to have a disappointing experience!

This is our quick go to place for a quick reasonable priced meal. Good selection and cheaper special day offers. Usually plenty of seating, it could do with a bit of a spruce up but you get what you pay for. Staff are good but this time around 1 member of staff was chastised in full hearing of customers something that should have been done elsewhere. Just my opinion though. And things were missing from one of our meals. Again heard member of staff in kitchen getting told off for getting the order wrong. Car parking plenty of spaces get there well before 9pm though or you won’t be served. Remember this is pub grub so don’t expect too much then you won’t be disappointed. 🤣

Had a lovely meal at Fieldfare. Been a while since I've been out for food and the gentleman (Micheal) who brought food too our table was such a lovely friendly bloke.

Always a great experience, staff very helpful and cheerful. Food is good and hot. Great atmosphere. Always bring family here when we can.

Fieldfare food is always amazing and on time. Andrew and Micheal are amazing at customer service. Always greet my grandparents with such care and a smile. They always go out of their way to make time to have a conversation with their customers.

The staff were so very busy but their attention was first class. A very special mention for Michael who was just amazing under all the pressure the restaurant was experiencing. He deserves recognition from green king as do the other staff. Food was great too.

Good breakfast, lovely service but the pub is a bit run down.

Food was not very good. But more than that i was ignored at the bar by the barman called Ryan. I wanted to leave but my mate persuaded me to stay and even he wished we had gone after tasting the food.

I would recommend this place for breakfast. We was greeted and served by a man called Devan. He was welcoming and helpful when taking our order, made sure our food was okay and cleared the table quickly and asked if we needed anything. The food was served hot and was tasty. Great value for money. Would visit again.

The quintessential picture postcard village pub/restaurant but with the added bonuses of great service,great atmosphere and great food.Would highly recommended if you're in the Diss _ Eye area to pop in you're not going to be disappointed

Unfortunately wasn't happy with our visit on the 5th Sept. Was my partners birthday and the steaks weren't Cooked how we asked and the portions were tiny. Asked for no ice in drinks and the girl put ice in and wen I said she just went oh sorry and that was it.. we use this place a lot but may go elsewhere for a while. Non of the usual very good staff there and was disappointed as it ruined my partners birthday meal

Well can't beat the breakfast unbelievable so good always when can stop off here such good value for money

Love this place, this is our family's go too for a nice meal out, fast service, good food and friendly staff, and the outdoor play area is nice, haven't tried pool there yet though

One guy not very welcoming or polite. Michael and girl behind the bar were great. Chairs could do with repair and cleaning. Male toilets were discusting! Urinals full of wee and had been overflowing; wee on floor! Taps on sinks faulty; one wouldn't work, turned one on the right on, it dribbled and the tap on the left turned itself on??? Had a Mushroom and ale pie. It looked great until I cut into it and it went flat! There was only about 1/2 inch of contents; the crust was about 2 inches high. I only got about 7 chips too others with the same meal had about 15 to 20 chips. Not a brilliant visit! Couldn't recommend the place unless refurbished!

Needs refurbishment grubby and damaged chairs decor shabby but not chic. Food ok for pub chain fayre. Service ok but not all staff very helpful.

Ok so the home truth about my first and last visit to this place, ordered an 11 oz rump steak to be told there was none. Had an 8oz which was supposed to be cooked medium, came as medium rare. This was tough as leather to chew and wasted, thank god I didn't get an 21oz. So no stars for food chef needs to up his game on cooking a steak. Service was not great it was serving the regulars and visitors left waiting even though was there before others. There was a lot of clientel but no atmosphere.

This is an update to the 5 star review I left last year. Unfortunately I've had to downgrade down to a 1 star review thanks to the total rudeness of the older lady manager. There was no please or thank you's when we were seen and she was just very blunt with us when we talked to her. No offer of additional sauces like others offer and no 'enjoy your meal'. It was just 'there we go' and she put the plates down with some force. Definitely not suited for a customer facing role in our opinion. If you don't like your job just quit rather than ruin diners experience. Sorry but the people can make or break a dining experience and sadly today one individual broke it.

Unfortunately we had to return two very tough steak meals Micheal was very apologetic but it has put us off eating here again Also the week before the salmon was almost unedible

It was a delight to be served by Michael, welcoming us into the restaurant. Hubby and I both had a breakfast, Hubby and adult portion, myself a children's one at £2.99! Both meals were excellent quality and value for money. Normally when I order the chips portion it seems badly presented and badly cooked, not my meal. Michael clearly knew his role, clearing our table of our empty plates whilst requiring if we would care to see the desert menu.all in all an excellent meal and service from Michael, 10 out of 10, will definitely return and recommend for a reasonable, value for money meal.
