Filling Station in Pendle

went here again this morning after a stopover and its just as good as last time . im still very happy to recommend this little butty shop

We stopped in burnley overnight after visiting my son and his wife yesterday.Drove back to Nelson this morning feeling hungry and wanting to eat before the drive back to teeside. My lad suggested that just across the road was a sandwich shop that did hot food too. Got myself and the Mrs a breakfast box. the food was cooked well and not cheap and nasty like some roadside vendors sell .the bacon was thick and cooked perfect the sausages were lush and the black pudding was the best ive had from a cafe ever. the 2 ladies who run the place were very friendly and they cook the food in view so you know its fresh . I will be returning next time I visit the area and would recommend it to everyone .it was very nice indeed .

I’ve used this takeaway shop for years but the last four sandwiches I have had have been very poor. The fillings have been very poor,a bacon and sausage butty should not consist of 1 fatty rasher of bacon and three halves of sausage! The bread was once stale,it’s just gone really downhill,I always used to have to queue to get served here but the last four times I’ve been I have always been the only one in. I won’t be going back,Samson’s it is at the bottom of smith street for me and my work colleagues now.

Warm welcome clean and well presented. Called in at 2pm shop close to closing asked for a large ham salad and only charged £2.30 for a freshh teacake 2 slices of ham fresh salad made on request. Warm food also available and specials board. Full breakfast is excellent value and will be had when next in area.
