Very Nice English breakfast, very big portions and well done, surely come here again, Next visit to Cambridge!

Super overpriced. £22 for 2 sausage rolls (which contained one and a half sauasages) and coffees.

We visited recently and my wife said her bacon roll was amazing. I had the Chelsea bun, fantastic.

Many coffee shops etc in cambridge city centre this one opposite the main entry to cambridge University . Service was quick and precise. Staff very friendly and helpful . Try their special chelsea bun quite rich could share as quite big and plenty of calories but really enjoyed the bun with apparently secret 100 year old recipe. Clean and tidy and popular .

Food was good, service was slow. Waited forever for the desserts, had to ask twice (coffee was already cold!)

Had brunch here with a friend - both of us found the food quite bland. The prices are a bit too high for such mediocre dishes. On the positive side: very nice stuff, kid friendly place, pets are also welcome.

Very nice pub in which we stopped for a snack, the Chocolate Cakes are very good but we had difficulty finishing them, they are very generous.

This place offers some great food and lattes!! We stopped by for some brunch and coffee, had the chicken sandwich, bacon sandwich and they were great. Fast service as well.

Incredibly disappointed at our visit here. We visited after a concert with 2 families (3 adults and 3 kids) for afternoon tea and felt absolutely ripped off. A tiered plate for one person cost £30 and for this the portions were not only meagre but of very poor quality. It promise a mix of sandwiches but what comes is barely the equivalent of a couple of slices of not very fresh bread with meagre fillings. A single stodgy blini with a shaving of smoked salmon accompanies a small selection of (mostly ok) cakes and a scone. The atmosphere is one of being fast-tracked through and staff seem permanently hassled. The kids left feeling hungry and the adults annoyed at being taken for a ride. Afternoon tea at Fitzbillies in Cambridge felt like it should have been a special experience; it was an experience but not one we ever want to repeat

If you need a break or just want to sit down for a coffee, tea, lunch, or a beautiful cake, try Fitzbillies. I tried the delicious combination of soup with a cheddar cheese and marmite pastry, which was just yummy for the tummy.

We had such a lovely late lunch at Fitzbillies. We ordered two toasties along with a couple of Chelsea buns and they were all incredibly delicious! There was a great vibe in the warm cafe and the service was excellent. We even grabbed more buns to go the next day. We will definitely be back when we return to the city in future.

Huge space for sitting and trying the menu here. Reputation goes before it and for good reason. Super busy yet staff cope well in managing to keep orders flowing quickly. Very tasty cakes and buns. Proper tea too.

came here for afternoon tea - ordered the traditional + savoury option. both were great and very filling but highly highly recommend the savoury afternoon tea especially if you aren't really into sweets like my mum lol! staff were friendly and helpful too.

Brilliant staff, smiles all round and more than friendly and happy to invite the dog in. As a Londoner this was amazing to see and loved every second. Definitely worth a try if you get a chance!

Amazing produce, highly recommend the Chelsea buns and the pesto and mozzarella focaccia. My only complaint is the teacups are terribly awkward to hold, they’re ergonomically difficult. But otherwise, I would happily have the focus as my final meal on earth!

Went to this cafe after hearing really good things online about it and was disappointed with the service me and my partner were met with. Servers were unhelpful and rude, forgetting my drink and acting as if I was the inconvenience for asking them to make it for me. Food was good and we would have come back again if service was better.

Food here was good, I can’t deny that, reasonable price, quite expensive but we are in the middle of Cambridge so that’s expected. Service was bad, very unfriendly and didn’t make us feel welcome at all. No manners, no hello, no please or thank you. We weren’t given our drinks, we had to go up to the till on 2 separate occasions to ask where our drinks were, we were told that we hadn’t paid for a drink, but later they worked out that we did. Didnt get an apology, instead I was told to go the fridge behind the counter to get the refrigerated drink myself. As for the tea, the person who served me just said “do you want a tea then”, I said yes, they replied with nothing and just slapped the mug down on the counter and walked off. I get that during busy periods the staff are working very hard and sometimes manners slip out of the way, but to be honest I’ve never felt more unwelcome in a cafe/restaurant in my life. Would definitely not recommend if you want to be respected as a customer.

I almost never give bad reviews, but today I just couldn't stand this place and had to write one. First, three cups of coffee were served, no sugar on the table, I asked the waiter to bring it, they just threw it away. Then one egg was rotten, but it was ok. Then the filter coffee was also bad, I told the waiter, he said it was impossible. Three of us tried to drink that coffee, it was really stinky. The other two Americanos were fine, and the waiter asked if it was filter coffee at the end, and then he left. Finally I paid the bill, I told another employee your coffee is smelly, he also said it's impossible, it's all fresh, I said you try it yourself! The attitude is terrible, they are always right, customers always talk nonsense. That's a tourist area, everyone goes there with a happy mood, but once you enter this store, your mood will be spoiled .

What can I say about the famous Chelsea buns!!!!! Not had them for over 30 years but just as I remember. Bit pricey though but worth it.

The worst breakfast I have ever eaten in England, they served me some rotten eggs and when we told her the waitress took the plate away to tell the chef and when she returned she told me that yes we were right that we should excuse that they had served us some eggs from the previous day. I don't recommend it.

The eggs were rotten. When we complained, the waitress spoke to the chef, who explained that they were from the day before. They told us everything and the bad experience was terrible, it spoiled our entire breakfast.

Had brunch at this location and it was so good, we came back for afternoon tea the next day! Great food. Oliver’s service and recommendations were excellent. Highly recommend for anyone coming in to Cambridge and looking for a great spot to eat.

I recently came across this cake house with a group of friends. We ordered a few different items to share, including the scone, the blue cheesecake, and the chocolate caramel salted cake. Each treat was incredibly fresh and flavourful, with the perfect balance of sweetness. The scone was soft and buttery, and the cakes were indulgent without being overly rich — just delightful! The presentation was lovely too. We had a light-hearted chat with the counter staff, which made the experience feel personal and even more enjoyable.

Staff is lovely, the atmosphere likable. BUT. Food is overpriced and underdelivers on both quality and quantity. The £28 afternoon tea for one was appallingly expensive and ridiculously lean and unassuming. Drinks order was unacceptably slow. Finally, the toilets were disgraceful. Should really do better for alleged Cambridge must see and experience.

A two man afternoon tea cost £60. We were wrongly charged and never got a refund. Do not go here.

Overpriced, overrated, and undercooked. Was served the stalest, driest, and coldest sausage roll, when asked to heat it up they said they couldn’t, absolute waste of money.

Been going to Fitzbilles for years, I think with the recent expansion to more sites has impacted the good customer service of the past. The coffee was good, it's just not the same when the person serving is having a terrible day and barking at the customers.

Big dissapoiting! You wait 10 min in line for a coffee, bad capuccino, average and expensive food, it s dirty, crowded, you have to clean your table to have a place to sit . Never again!

I just went in for coffee on a Sunday morning. A very pleasant experience. We sat in the window area, and you know, I've walked by this place a 1000 times, but I'd never realised how spacious the rear restaurant is, plenty of room.

It's like a Tardis - once you get in to the main cafe, it goes back a long way, makes a slight shimmy to the left, then goes back a bit more. It can get very busy - I was waiting for about 10 minutes at about 11.30 on a Sunday morning, but I could see a steady stream of people leaving, so I knew it would not take long. The staff do a great job of keeping everyone happy, and obvious the Chelsea buns are everything you could possibly want.

The signature Chelsea bun is horribly over-sweet, average pastry, over-priced. Service was half-professional at best. Coffee over-priced. It felt like it’s success depends on renown alone, not on actual quality.

The customer service here was extremely bad. Barrista was so rude and asking for extra charger for a little more milk on coffee. We are tourists so we won’t be taking it further but will definitely not return if we live here.

The staff all looked like they would rather be anywhere else than here! The regular lattes (to drink in) were served in take away tiny flat white cups. Very underwhelming and costly for the experience. Won't be returning anytime.

The consistency of the buns is not great. Sometimes, they are too sweet , sometimes too dry. Today, they were both. Not the nicest service, I stood in front of the till whilst they staff were having a domestic and were clearly frustrated at each other. I get it that it can be hard when it's busy, but there was only a handful of people in the cafe and no queue 🤷‍♂️

We got the afternoon tea, earl grey and British black. The cucumber sandwiches and guac pancakes weren't my favorite but all of the rest of the food and tea was delicious. Service was great too! Their salmon eggs benedict is a must🤤🤤.

Tried Fitzbillies for the first time and was disappointed. We ordered two afternoon teas (which came combined on one serving pedestal). The sandwiches were cold and bland, the scone was okay, and the cake selection appeared to be mass-produced and not at its freshest. The service was slow and inattentive. The price did not match the experience we received.

We were staying in Cambridge and this (following recommendations) was one of the main places we ate for breakfast and lunch. The food is amazing. There are 3 shops - a cake shop, a main restaurant and a cafe. They dont really cross over between the shops. So know which one you want. We spent time going in the wrong door. The cafe the only thing i would flag is they dont clear up very well.

Fitzbillies is a Cambridge institution, and for good reason. While my scone was pleasant, the cappuccino was the real star of the show - smooth, rich, and enjoyable. It's the ideal spot to soak up the atmosphere of this historic city, whether you're people-watching King's college or simply enjoying a moment of contemplation. Don't expect quiet during afternoon tea time as you are on a tourist highway.

The desserts were delicious, but the staff made me wait outside for too long, even though there were available tables. The tea was very fragrant, and they have multiple locations. It's better to choose a less crowded one.

This was recommended to us and found it friendly and the food was very good. The service was efficient. Despite being busy the food and drinks came out quickly. The veggie breakfast was nice but only two thin slices of halloumi despite charging £16- the reason for knocking off a star.

Favourite brunch place in Cambridge, they do a decent full English and eggs Royale. They only take walk-ins on the day.

Staff were super friendly, but unfortunately we were not blown away by the food or afternoon tea… They also add a ‘discretionary service charge,’ but we were not informed what it was, nor that it was added… it’s basically an optional tip that the restaurant decides to add on your behalf. It feels very dishonest doing this and NOT telling the customer, as we didn’t discover this charge until AFTER we had paid… after some reading, this seems to be occasionally customary, but I’ve lived in London over 6 months and this is my 1st encounter with this… shame.

Waited ages for the coffee, at £3.70 for a latte, they don't provide spoons, apparently they don't have any. The tables aren't cleaned and the place hasn't got an ambience.

It’s one of the most popular places to have a coffee or brunch in Cambridge. The fame is deserved. There are several in the city center. You have good coffee, variety of sweet or salad brunches and the quality is very good. I had eggs with salmon and were delicious.
