delicious, super healthy food. got a combo of 3 salads - lentils with roasted carrots, roasted potatoes and third was brussel sprouts with chick peas and a yogurt sauce. Will definitely return!

Serendipity. Much better than that which we were seeking. ‘Seed to Plate’ invites you in, with an implicit promise of wholesome care and diffidence, a promise fulfilled. Eat well, in the broadest sense of that phrase, and feel good about yourself and the impact you have.

This was a second visit for us but as we couldn't remember the name or location exactly, we had to scour the main streets. Worth it! It's brilliant. I had the best vegetable stew ever, flavoured with sherry vinegar and very spicy. My husband had a 2-salad combination and we followed it with Basque Cheesecake and coffee. All so fresh and tasty and the service is friendly and fast. 'Definitely recommend Five Acres and we now have the name and location firmly in our heads for next time we visit St Andrews.

Five Acres is a great spot for coffee, pastries, and fresh lunch. Their menu changes each week, so there's always something for everyone, and the staff is friendly and welcoming.

Five Acres is, hands down, the best spot in St Andrews for a casual high quality lunch (which is usually a varied assortment of salads, a stew, and a sandwich, respectively), a meticulously crafted coffee, or locally made pastries and cakes. The ambience is delightful, and the staff are always generous and welcoming. A highlight of Five Acres is the owner - Bryde - who prepares almost all the food onsite in the kitchen: she is incredibly warm and friendly, which adds to the cozy vibes. Absolutely worth your time if you're in St Andrews.

My partner and I visit Five Acres regularly, and it never disappoints! The menu changes weekly, which means we can keep coming back to try something new. The food is fresh, high quality, and almost always vegetarian, which is a big bonus for me. The staff are also incredibly friendly and welcoming, making each visit a delight! The coffee is also excellent. My personal favourite is the dirty chai, which pairs perfectly with their baked oats, cinnamon scrolls, or cookies. Five Acres has become our go-to spot for breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon coffee! I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting St Andrews.

Lovely place with a friendly welcome and really tasty salad options. I had a takeaway lunch with a mix of all of the salads on offer, as well as an iced latte. Delicious and refreshing. Not to be missed!

Been out of Australia for over a year now and this is the first place in the uk I’ve found a delicious, fresh meal. I got a mix of the four salads they had that day. The seasoning with herbs and spices complimented the fresh greens beautifully! Also loved the coffee, smooth and rich.

We had been waiting all week to try this cafe/bistro but as we were only in St Andrews for a week we were out during the main part of the day enjoying trips to the coast etc. However, Thursday was the day before we went home to rainy Manchester and we wanted to do some of the museums etc. There were five adults, three veggie, three not but we all had the chickpea stew!! Wow, as veggies and non veggies this stew is perhaps a staple of our diet but none of us had ever tasted one like this, so flavoursome, it came with lovely sourdough to mop up the juices and I can tell you there weren’t any on anyone’s plate at the end of the meal!! There was a topping of aioli, with perhaps a hint of saffron, we usually use yoghurt, I know it’s unusual to go overboard about one simple dish, but you have to try it to know what I am talking about. The basque cheesecake was also delicious!! None left for anyone else as we ate the piece. Go and try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Recently re-opened as a restaurant after being a wedding-only venue for several years. Beautiful country house in a lovely rural setting. Staff are very welcoming and looked after us very well. Food was great - modern Scottish. Overall feels like a really high-end experience, but at prices similar to many St Andrews restaurants.

Six of us came in very last minute looking for somewhere to eat prior to a gig at the glen pavilion and we were so glad we did, lovely chippy food, very generous portions, fabulous service and great banter.
