Five Guys in Cambridge

The staff were very friendly. Unfortunately the burger was really greasy and tasteless. The fries were average. The meal also had an awful smell that lingered on my clothes. Considering the price, this is possibly the worst meal I've ever had without getting ill.

And not helpful. And she didn’t respect me. At all she is racism I think I’m gonna to take legal action if she did not say sorry to me. And. I advise the big manger to fire her from the store. She is not credited to the business at all. She is mintely have problems I did record everything what happened if she did not say sorry I have to contact with. Leader So please get in touch with me. To be honest I feel five guys in general is overrated ! Ridiculously expensive for the quality of the food . It’s a complete rip off and I won’t ever go to one again . I couldn’t believe it was over £40 for 2 burgers with fries and a drink ! The chairs were broken , and it was dirty.

Go to McDonald’s and save some money. The cashier was very friendly but the food is not worth the price. McD has probably better packaging than Five guys. We are not sure why someone should spend so much money on such lousy food. The ambience in their basement seating area reminds one of some American teen horror movies. Dark with flashing neon light.

Me and my friend decided to try Five Guys for the first time. I got a beef dog and she got a burger, we got fries and drinks too. I knew it was expensive but £17….. Neither the dog or burger was good and the fries were cold. It’s a shame because the staff were really nice.

Always wanted to go to five guys this was our first time. And will be the last time Omg. It was horrible. I had the hot dog with bacon and fries. And have to say. It was vile opend the hot dog up looked like sick only eat a bit. As the presentation of this was terrible. The fries were warm. Not hot. And omg. The price. Asked if I wanted a drink. Would have been 17 pounds. In all I payed 12.50. Never again. Would have been better to go to Bella italia where I had a lovely meal. The night before please guys don’t go to five guys this is the first review I have ever given one star ⭐️

Disgusting. 1 cheeseburger, 3 hotdogs, 3 chips, 2 milkshakes and 2 cokes £71 it was thrown in 2 bags so were like road kill when we got them out, not nice not worth the money. Never going back.

Four kids, one adult. 4 small burgers, one regular. 2 fries, 5 drinks £85! Burgers were wrapped in foil and all squashed up in a bag, despite us eating in. So bun was flat and soggy after being squashed. Burger meat was average. Bacon, cheese etc were all very basic. Overall, a lot of money for a disappointing McDonalds-style meal.

I've had the BLT, the Cheese Dog, the Double Cheeseburger, and their wonderful Cajun style fries - Oh man it's so much better than McDonalds and Burger King, they win hands down everytime! Cambridge Leisure Park, give it a try you con't go wrong as they put whatever condiments on it you want!

The food in and of itself is good, and the chips have great portion sizes, but it is expensive for what it is, in my opinion. However, my main issue was with the lack of allergen awareness in the restaurant itself. I have, since visiting, checked the website, and seen there is a note that the food is cooked in peanut oil, but since I live locally, I have never needed to check the website before and therefore did not know this. To cut a long story short, my friend was sent into anaphylactic shock from being near the food I and a few others brought back due to a peanut allergy. I am very sorry if there is some sort of note that I have missed, and I will take down this review if that is the case, but if not, I feel like this should be addressed with some sort of clear signage inside, just to prevent something similar happening again. (I understand this is an extreme example, but the issue stands for any sort of nut allergy). Have a great day!

Food and service was amazing however, not happy with shared toilets! Male / female toilets. Urine all over seat ! Sort it out guys. I don't want to use a toilet that smells and is sprayed with urine.

Very nice place. Most comments here seem to focus on the price. And I admit, that I wouldn't come here on the regular. BUT, I think these other reviews are kind of missing the point. Five guys offers you a burger that will brighten your entire week, if you let it and can appreciate it. You have unlimited softdrinks to wash down an ungodly amount of delicious Fries and peanuts. The whole experience is just all in all pleasent and the place is upfront with what it is. I like that. Come here for a good time.

Super fast service with friendly staff. We both had the burger with onion,gerkin with mayonnaise and small fries. To drink we had the Reece Milkshakes which were fabulous.

I absolutely love this place , the burgers and fries are literally perfection. Great friendly and fast service & nice atmosphere. It's not McDs prices but the food is far superior!! On my last visit I was checked on by Roland, who is super friendly and topped up my fries for free If you don't love this place you just don't love burgers

Went in for a very early lunch after an energetic trip to clip and climb just up the road.We were the first in shortly after opening at 11am as my six year old needed food quickly. Lovely friendly staff took our order. The whole place was spotless and sparkling cleanOur lunch arrived in a few minutes and was piping hot and perfectly cooked - crispy fries and a succulent hot dog. The little one reported it to be ‘so much better than McDs’ Next time I will remember to ask for no salt on the fries - maybe they could ask during ordering for children?I would say it is a place for a very occasional treat for children but there is no going back to the drive through alternative! It is more expensive but it is not the same food.

Have ordered lunch from here a couple times, always very good quality food, never had any problems :)

This is for Market Street branch, Cambridge, Not tried this burger bar before, I normally eat at GBK: I wish I had this time, too. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries (regular) and a coke. The price was £17.25 - A LOT OF MONEY. The burger with toms and onion was basic - any competent chef at home could have produced it. The fries were heavily salted and way in excess of anything one should eat. The USP seems to be 'quantity over quality'. GBK (much the same price) produce and innovative burger with good quality fries (thick cut) and one can chose how the burger is cooked with a choice of beers and wines all served on a plate with a knife and fork. Sorry guys, never again.

Food is great. The experience of finding an empty table is lousy as the place is full of Hills Road Sixth Form Kids. They are exceptionally loud, messy, inconsiderate and yet again wrecked my experience.We've experienced this before but still the Wife wanted to grab a post cinema burger. Will she ever learn? Just awful. Terrible cheese burger, squashed bun which was almost transparent with grease and over £3 for a tiny paper cup of luke warm, soft, bendy fries. Save yourself some money, eat better and support a local businesses like the food stalls on the market.

Well what can you say about Five guys - certainly first impressions were not good.Put simply it’s a very expensive Macdonalds.First visit with family ordered the Bacon Cheesburger, regular fries and milkshake.The option to put whatever toppings you want is probably the highlight of this.You then wait (same as Mac Ds) for your food to arrive in a soggy paper bag, burger wrapped in tin foil and a cup of oversalted chips chucked in. And you get to pay the princely sum of over £60 for a family of four.The burger was on par with a Rustlers Microwave burger and nothing special at all in fact quite a let down. The only good thing is if you like chips you get enough to feed a small town.On top of this you have music so loud you can’t speak and staff that seem to have an obsession with shouting throughout the restaurant. Highly annoying.Would I go again? Not a chance I’ve had better food in Macdonalds and if I want to spend a small fortune I’ll go to Byron next time as their food and service is a million times better.Avoid unless you like loud overpriced plain food

Had our daughters party here, 9 11year old girls, and it went great. The staff were very friendly , joining in the Happy Birthday, and even giving her a box of chocs and some vouchers. I was pleased enough that they let us bring our own cake. The kids loved the food, tasty but casual. It came out at £10 a head which is medium price wise i think. The little burgers (same size as normal in terms of bun and filling, just single meat pattie) were plenty for them. I got one large chips per 3 kids, as they are super huge. They definitely all had plenty and all eat well.

As always staff very friendly and helpful they don’t rush you at the till which is good with 2 undecided children! Lovely hot freshly cooked food (so many fries!) The milkshakes are amazing! We will be back very soon!

Total rubbish and a waste of money. I was outraged at how expensive the food was for what we actually got. The veggie sandwich was barely edible, and the chips at almost £5???? Seriously? My son's burger was £9.95 and was no different from what would be available in a MD or BK.

Five Guys is a great place for burgers and fries. Service at this location was quick. Toilets were clean. Had inside and outside seating available. Nice location!!

Well I know that fast food isn't the best for you these days as we all have heard about the calories this type of food can give a person, or the fact of finding out that there's more to the food than one would even pray to know after discovering that something you ate had items of questionable quality in it. I have eaten in my early days of fast food and have to say that if I want a burger or a hotdog cooked well and made delicious then you must go to Five Guys in Cambridge, or if you're down in Bluewater Mall in Kent then please give this place a visit as I'm sure you will enjoy it. The fries that they cook are done in peanut oil so if you have allergies to this you may want to be aware of this, but the dry mix that's put into the fries is delicious (Cajun in nature) and the food condiments are fresh and tasty all the time.

Food was nice but highly overpriced. For what you pay you'd expect table service not a ticket system where they call out your number. For me it felt like a service station outlet. You can get table service at McDonald's and it's cheaper with more variety. Try it for the experience but it won't be a regular eatery for me unfortunately.

I had never been to Five Guys and it will be a while before I go again. They seem to think this is something special, but what? its burger, chips and milk shake. Hardly ground breaking done so much better and cheaper elsewhere in particular McDonalds. Terrible atmosphere, cheap looking with ridiculously loud music. Trying to sell the American experience, well I have had that in America many times and they would laugh at this place. I had a burger wrapped in tin foil, a cup of 'fries' and a milkshake. And it was stupidly expensive. And served in a paper bag!!! There are many good places to eat..go to them. Not this awful place

El servicio fue excelente, muy amables. Te explican bien los ingredientes que le puedes añadir a la hamburguesa. Las papas son muy buenas. El ambiente y el lugar son muy buenos y limpios. Es cierto que en otros lugares podrías encontrar algo mas económico, pero por el sabor yo lo prefiero. Lo recomiendo.

While trying not to over indulge in these succulent burgers, we have nevertheless been regular enough over the years to marvel at Five Guys consistency both in their service and food!! WELL DONE!!

I have both visted and had ‘take away’ from the venue. Yes, can be a little pricey, I guess, for a burger and fries. However, the burgers are sooo good. I would suggest to those that do not know, a portion of their yummy fries goes a long way, even the ‘small’ portion. The staff are always pleasant and courteous, the venue has been immaculately clean any time I have visited. I truly cannot fault the place. I have looked at other reviews who have complained about no table service or cutlery or crockery... Five Guys is an ‘old fashioned’ burger joint, good burgers, good service.

Maybe I have missed the boat on this outlet (like I have with Nando's) but this was a pretty run of the mill Burger and Hot Dog joint.

Nice burgers made to order but if you buy chips get some portion as we got one each and had so many left which could of fed another 10 people which is a waste.

This was horrible experience to go there. Service horrible, they serve food in a some terrible bags, no plates, no cuttlery, don't bring to the table. Quality of the food the worst I ever ate and the price was quite high comparing to what they offer. Will never go there again.

No gimmicks, just excellent burgers and fries. There are plenty of up-market burger places in Cambridge but none of them are anything like as good as Five Guys. This is what burgers are supposed to be like.

We ordered burgers through Deliveroo having been told Five Guys was good. The picture on the Deliveroo website looked nice. When they arrived they were wrapped in foil which meant they sweated and the buns were soggy and crumpled. The meat was a grey colour...

We ate here as a group of 6 (4 adults and 2 children). Id heard good things of Five Guys so was really looking forward to trying it as I love a good burger! It wasn't what I was expecting at all. I was expecting a Byron type experience, table service etc. It was closer to a McDonalds experience on the ordering side of things. The food however was nothing like a McDonalds experience. We ordered 5 burgers of various combinations, a hotdog and a large fries. Please note the large fries is plenty for 4 adults and at a cost of nearly £6 it should be. Having spent nearly £50 on food the server threw in 6 refill drinks for free which was a nice touch. I do like the fact that you can dictate what accompaniments you have in your burger at no extra cost (lettuce, tomato, pickles, sauces etc). So the food order is taken and you wait around then for your order to be cooked and wrapped (a matter of 5 minutes). The food itself I couldn't fault. Some people have complained of a greasy bun and yes it was abit but I don't mind that one bit. The taste was brilliant, the chips were good and everyone got exactly what they wanted. Only down side is they don't have a childs menu, my youngest is 3 with a healthy appetite and managed to pretty much polish off a small cheese burger. I would definitely go back again without doubt.

Over priced. Poorly run. And low grade food. Why are they even trying to be here.

Second visit. I waited some time after the first which unimpressed me beyond belief. This time it was a little quieter so the place was somewhat clean and not suffering from greasy sticky table, overflowing bins, and rubbish strewn floor. The concept is great. Choose your own toppings/fillings and create a custom burger. The problem is that the burgers are not that good. The buns end up being greasy and damp. The actual burger is not bad but far from worth the price. At this price I would expect to be asked how I wanted it to be cooked (hint far from well beyond medium if the meat is any good quality). The cheese is generic awful. The other ingredients are far from stand out and some could not be recognised (where was the BBQ flavour in the sauce ?). The fries are outrageously expensive and not special. Free nuts does not compensate. There are several burger restaurants in Cambridge the offer far better quality and dining experience than Five Guys.

I have heard lots of people rave about five guys and there burgers. I must say the choice of burgers are great and they come as a double burger as standard. We got the bacon cheese burger with the full toppings, we had a regular fries to share and that was plenty with 2 refill drinks. It’s pretty pricy for a fast food place but it’s cheaper than a restaurant. The flavour and taste was great, there is no atmosphere as it’s like a canteen but the food is tasty. Didn’t try a milkshake but they look good!

Picking my son up from residence, he suggested Five Guys, "an experience not to be missed" he said. Well, it certainly isn't for everyone, me included, but that is not to say the burger and fries weren't tasty because they were (fries cooked in peanut oil - if you go there this will become evident!). However. If you want to eat lunch in a vast, cold warehouse-style eatery, full of sacks of peanuts, have your chosen burger (once you have deciphered the complicated add on list unless you have a phd), wrapped in tin foil (!), then this may be the place for you. I personally couldn't hear myself speak, I was cold, and the amount of peanut fried chips was just ridiculous. Also, two burgers and a "Share" of medium fries for about £25? So overpriced. The ambience was non-existent, the floors were damp, simply not an enjoyable experience for me I'm afraid. I've given Five Guys a 3* because the burger was tasty, but it was so big it fell apart (in tin foil - teeth-grating or what?!) and I had to try to scoop most of it up from a plastic table! Want to have lunch in a warehouse? Want to eat out of tin foil? Yuk. The big yellow M does it more subtley, with more class, and definitely more value for money.

Whenever we go bowling or to the cinema, My family’s pick is always Five Guys. The burgers are absolutely delicious. I had the Oreo milkshake, PERFECT! Fries, I have two words: THE BEST! I love this place, Will be returning!

The burger was greasy and gritty. But tasted good. Chips were great. I would rather go to another high street burger chain than pay £35.30 for 2 burgers, 2 fry’s and two drinks. My son loves it here, the burgers are excellent and love the way you customise with toppings. It is 2nd only to Steak and Honour! Service is good, chips are great and the nuts are a nice addition!
