Fletchers Restaurant in Nottingham

Comida y servicio de calidad excepcional. Primera visita a Fletchers para nuestro 21 aniversario de boda en la calle y volverá tan pronto como sea posible.

El regalo de esta semana fue Estudiantes Chefs de Nivel 3 revelando su viaje de investigación a Finlandia en 6 cursos llenos de sabor. Desde champiñones a la barbacoa en una salsa inspirada en regaliz, venado estofado en lugar de renos, cangrejos de río y encurtidos, apio suave en una piscina dulce de sopa, un impresionante postre de arándanos turquesa brillante con un acabado de espejo y una versión del huevo de Pascua de especialidad finlandesa - sólido, pero suave chocolate, servido en una verdadera cáscara de huevo y caja! WOW que conocía a los finlandeses conocía los sabores y divertirse con la comida. Todo eso por menos de 30 libras.

Acababa de regresar de casi un mes de intercalación en Italia y esperaba con interés esta velada temática del norte de Italia y no decepcionó, al menos en términos alimentarios, que la geografía sea quizás otra cuestión. El Piamonte NO está en la costa, así que el delicioso primer plato de frita misto no era realmente muy auténtico, pero tan delicioso de todos modos. El siguiente plato Bollito misto con salsa verde fue verdaderamente EXCELENTE aunque (inusualmente) el tamaño de la porción fue demasiado para mí. Los siguientes dos platos salados - un Tagliatelle con trufas frescas seguido de un risotto de confit de pato cocinado en vino Barolo fueron SOBRESALIENTES, especialmente las astillas de piel de pato confit utilizadas como guarnición. El plato de postre también fue bueno, un ratón de chocolate acompañado de un macaron y tierra de almendras tostadas - encantador! De nuevo la geografía les decepcionó un poco con la carta de vinos - el Primitivo Apulia se obtiene a cientos de kilómetros de distancia del Piamonte, pero la falta de autenticidad valió la pena. ¡Un vino noble a precio de ganga! Gracias Fletchers. Estoy siendo muy exigente en mi crítica de hoy, así que tengo que hacer hincapié en que esta fue una excelente comida y a £ 29 para 5 platos asombrosamente buenos - un robo absoluto. ¿Por qué no más residentes de Nottingham exploran este maravilloso restaurante?

Decidimos probar Fletchers en la universidad para el almuerzo y nos quedamos muy gratamente sorprendidos. La comida era de buena calidad servida maravillosamente y el servicio excelente a pesar de los nervios. Vino un poco caro para el lugar, pero no desmereció de un almuerzo por lo demás excelente!

Visited Fletchers tonight for one of their themed evenings designed (according to my menu) by a senior student Arianna Barbaccia to reflect her Umbrian heritage. The delicate quail terrine starter was accompanied by zesty spiced pear chutney and the fabulous pudding of a lemon and lavender cannoli had notes of cherry amaro gel and candied lemon peel. But for me it was the main course that just zinged Italy. In fact the porchetta with apricot and cognac stuffing and flavoursome Puy lentils cooked in a red wine jus was SO delicious that it was only with great difficulty that I stopped myself licking the plate. A stunningly authentic trip to Bella Italia! Thank you Fletchers - and Arianna. You did your country proud.

Had a wonderful Burgundian themed meal at this terrific catering college restaurant recently. All the courses were wonderful but I particularly liked the main course Chicken Gaston Gerard - a fantastic melange of chicken, mushrooms, garlic and cream. One of the many starters Ouefs Murette was also spectacular. I lived in France for a number of years and know this recipe is tricky to pull off. The student’s excelled themselves - wonderfully soft poached eggs in wine with a spicy tomato and wine sauce. Superb! I’m going again next week and can’t quite understand why this isn’t the hottest ticket in town. The themed evenings are less than £30 for 5 or 6 courses and the wine is cheap too. What’s not to like?

A Burgundy 5 course food night for £26 on Wednesday was amazing from its Gougeres Emmental starter to Poire au vin Burgundy dessert - truly exceptional food including a wonderful vegetarian menu. Thank you Fletchers' Nottingham College Hospitality and Catering students for your wonderful cooking and friendly service. We look forward to next week's 007 themed menu "From Italy with Love" and St Patrick's Day menu. If anyone in Nottingham has not yet discovered lunch and dinner at Fletchers, opposite Broad Marsh bus station, you are missing out on the very best of Nottingham.

Another great evening. The menu was imaginative and interesting. The vegetarian menu did not disappoint.. Such a treat to have 5 courses. I couldn't wait to see what taste sensation came out next! It feels good to support the college and the students, and get great value, quality food at the same time!

Very nice and friendly service and atmosphere. Lovely and delicious food. Students are very polite and have a briliant service. Need improvement on desserts:)

This hidden gem is a must if you're in Nottingham and like fine food. Fletcher's Dining is at Nottingham College, staffed by students. We were recommended we visit here by a local friend, and our first time certainly won't be our last. You book the date you want, but be warned, they book up fast, and choose the meat or vegetarian menu, and then sit back and relax! The team met us at the door and although they were clearly nervous, they were friendly throughout. We had five different courses of delicious food, and in no way would you say this food was from someone in training, it was amazing. From braised pigs cheeks, to polenta cake, it was a taste sensation. Highly recommended, but do book early!

I have recently been to a few meals at Fletchers, the most recent being the Notts and Derby Wine School evening and a level 3 student takeover menu 14th June 'British coastline Menu'. The wine school evening was a first..... who knew wine has legs! This evening was pricer than normal but you get fabulous food paired with a different wine for each course. While you are waiting each course to come out you are given a great rundown of the wine, where it's produced and how to develop your appreciation of the flavour. Very interesting and will be booking another of these evenings. The British Coastline menu was excellent out of the five courses I could not pick a favourite..... praise indeed. The standard of food was excellent, service was good and staff as helpful as ever...... Chris will happily recommend a wine if you are stuck for choice. Taking of wine..... there's a new wine list.... win, win! I will be back in a couple of weeks for the Gala menu, just a shame it closes for Summer!

Four of us came aling for a lovely Christmas meal- we all chose differently but thoroughly enjoyed all of our food. We all had the Christmas pud which we lived and would have loved to have bought one for our home Christmas tables. Maybe Fletchers could consider selling these? Many thanks

A great night out with friends. We came for the taster menu A taste of Provence. The food & wine was excellent . The young staff are so friendly & do a superb job of looking after their guests. We will certainly visit again.

Excellent value for money. The food was fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection, table service was very good from start to finish. This new restaurant is more modern than the old building, light and tastefully furnished. Looking forward to returning.

Having dined many times at the Adams Restaurant, we wondered how Fletchers would compare. We were not disappointed. The students looked after us from the moment we walked through the door. Smartly turned out, they were friendly, polite and suitably attentive. The restaurant is stylish and modern with an excellent atmosphere. Last, but certainly not least, was the food. It was absolutely delicious and our three course lunch was tremendous value. We will be coming back soon.

We have been many, many times to Fletchers........Never been disappointed, all food cooked by students overseen by top grade chefs, just a shame only open during term time! The set menus makes you try food that you wouldn't normally order but prices are incredible for the quality, staff are friendly and attentive, wine list is good (ask for a recommendation if needed). Modern surroundings in a new building but nice atmosphere, close to Broadmarsh car park and train station. Make no mistake this is 5 STAR dining at pub prices. Each course is presented to the highest standard, menu's are imaginative don't be put off by what seemingly is an ordinary menu..... all come with a Fletcher's twist! You need to book in advance (but its always worth checking for a cancellation), check menus and book reservation on website. ....... Never had a bad experience in excess of 20 trips and have more booked...... oh and they do lunch menus as well...... LOVE IT ......praise indeed from a self-confessed fussy eater.

Food and service were both excellent. The young girls serving our table were extremely attentive and we felt very looked after from the moment we arrived with the girls on the desk to the moment we left. The food was delicious and the fish I ordered was cooked to perfection. What amazing students you have there…. We will be back.

We went for the vegetarian week 5 course meal and all the dishes were very lovely and well thought out. I went to the college and cooked at the old Adam’s restaurant and we used to visit it a lot for dinner. I’m glad to see that the move hasn’t affected the food at all as the chef is still the same as before (though different students!) the service is always very good and I just love to see the students practicing and learning all these new cooking techniques. Will definitely be going again before the school year ends as it’s the best place to get some fine dining without spending ridiculous amounts of money.

All food cooked by students, top class food, hot and fresh and imaginitive. We did the 5 course meal, small portions but perfectly formed. Only thing I would say is about the lacked vegetables, so a side order of veg with the main course would be great. You can watch the chefs cook through a big window which is nice. We are going again for the Indian night menu later this month.

Great concept to help students on their career path. We went on Wed night again for the St Davids Day menu, all 5 courses were wonderfully cooked, big shout out to the Haddock over Risotto, and the Lamb was to die for, cooked to perfection. Wonderful service again with a lovely shy smile from students who are clearly enjoying the experience. See you soon. One very minor critique to aid old folk like the wife, steak knives would compliment the fantastically cooked meat.

Very welcoming, and a beautiful meal and experience. Service exceptional, and food was lovely. Definitely fitted the bill for a family treat. We will be back.

Top rated food and service from relatively new students. Will certainly be back with friends to see how they develop over the year.

All i will say is immediately having thoroughly enjoyed the quality of food and service, i immediately booked the Tuscany themed night in November. People of Nottingham, support this venture, and give invaluable experience to the future of foodies, having previuosly been an Afams customer,...

First time at the new building and its a lovely venue. The lunch was delicious beautiful food.The students are very new but well supported.I'm sure it will be just as succesful as the Adams restaurant was. Will be booking for christmas dinner.

A fantastic meal. The food was perfectly cooked. The staff although a little nervous were brilliant ( expected as they are students) overall the whole experience was wonderful. Very, very good value for money. We have booked again for sept which speaks volumes. Keep up...

The college students were superb and very attentitive. The food was top class with amazing flavours. Really is five star dining with excellent prices.

Considering the students have had very little physical lessons due to COVID the experience was great. Attentive service and excellent tasting food!!! Cannot wait to visit again when open fully.
