I've been ordering from here over 6 years me and my whole family love this place..delivery drivers are always so friendly food is always hot and beautiful

Excellent quality & value Chinese takeaway. Used Fortune house many times which speaks for itself.

put the order in before it opened in the hope of getting it early, and was delighted when it came half hour earlier than delivery start time. Super food. great value for money.

Food was vile, weirdest chicken fried rice I have had, chicken was drier than the sahara, would save your money and go elsewhere

food was 20 minutes late, on arrival 2 times of our order were incorrect and one completely missing, food was full of oil and had no flavour. used to be our favourite place for a curry, won't be ordering from here again.

good as always, ample meat chicken and prawns, the unmistakable chinese special curry flavour, no mushrooms but I didn't miss them too much, nice and spicy but I add hot sauce anyway, tasty

Was told delivery would be at 5:40 then it had been delivered, when i questioned it was told there was a delay but my order would be with me at 6:10. Turned up just before obviously been out in delivery car for an hour as everything was stone cold. Went straight in bin and when i complained was told i cant get a refund based on the temperature of the food so £40 down the drain. Lesson learnt avoid this place like the plague

just curry was cold rice was hard and the 🫛 are like bullets

Usually fortune house are good bit my food was delivered cold, they should be using thermsal bags to keep the food hot, this was not the case, eating cold food is not nice, so i am requesting a full refund

The last few orders we’ve had, the curry’s have been watery and do not taste like they used to. Not sure if they have changed the recipe or the chef but it’s definitely not as good which is a shame

brilliant food at exceptional price

Estimated delivery was 50 minutes, it was one and half hours. The same happened last time we ordered from them it was late we had to phone 3 times said short staffed due to weather, but we gave them another chance but happened again, food not hot and batter on sweet n sour balls was rock hard, shan’t be using them again.

very late despite ordering well in advance. Arrived lukewarm by a rude driver. Yuk Sung amazing, rice was mushy and overcooked, chow mein mushy and lacking flavour.

Food was cold. Packages was not sealed. Duck was undercooked. And sweat and sour crispy balls was like rubber. Was not happy through most in the bin. Not ordering from there again.

We were looking forward to our food, chicken balls were quite hard and the batter felt like it had been refried to heat them up, the chips were the same. Not nice!! Really disappointed as had food from fortune house before and was not like this. If this is now the standard of food, will not order from them again.

I don't like to leave reviews especially bad ones but this experience was poor. The delivery was fast, very fast but they had missed a item off the order a fried rice, but the time this was sorted the rest of the food was cold. Prawn crackers stale 2

I always describe food on time even if it was early or late, I'm not clock watching anyway, I'm not sure early or on time matters I think late's the only bad option but anyway, I ordered the usual as it's my favourite and it didn't disappoint, tasty

Before this was taken over, I would of avoided it like the plague, but since the new owners have taken over it is so much better its worth having as a backup to your favourite Chinese takeaway like I do when the one I use is closed. Update October 23: Giving this place a 1 star due to really bad food poisoning will never order again

I never leave reviews, but please don’t be fooled like I was by the reviews on here. Check the Google reviews - much more accurate. Salt and pepper chips were nice, other than that everything was barely edible.

super hot and early! excellent as usual

The food arrived on time and piping hot. The egg fried rice has a special irreplicable flavour to it, and the sauce was excellent as usual. I noticed the beef was sliced thinner than usual but it wasn't a big deal, I do like the chunky beef though

Ordered food at 6:40pm for it to be delivered between 8-8:30pm, I had phoned the restaurant at 8:45pm as no update had been given in regards to delivery, it was clear that they had forgot about my order as the guy I spoke with on the phoned couldn't find my order, I was then advised it'd be delivered "now" I the recieved a phone call from the driver saying he would deliver it in 5/10 minutes, 20 minutes had past and still nothing, tried to complain to uber eats however they couldn't get through to the restaurant either, overall I'm eating my dinner an hour late, the food was cold, chips were soggy, money wasted, if you're going to order from this place I would highly recommend collecting it or going somewhere else!!!

the meat in the curry was stringy with fat and made me throw up

10/10, plenty of meat on the ribs which I’ve found is rare now with other Chinese restaurants. Everything was hot & delicious & was delivered really quickly. Really friendly driver too so not 1 complaint, very happy with my experience from here will now be my go-to Chinese 👍

Ordered via Uber Eats as my usual Chinese takeaway is closed for a few weeks. The food was really bad. Very dry chow mein, hoisin cause which was incredibly salty. I ended up throwing most of it away 😔 Salt and pepper chips were good though!

the food was good, I had the special curry, chunks of king prawn, chicken and beef in a tasty curry sauce. Unfortunately just before I opened the door the delivery driver said 'they're recording you laughing', which is a strange thing to say, especially since I had actually been laughing five or so minutes before he arrived but there was no way he could have known. I didn't bother to ask about it but it was weird. On opening the door I instead asked when they open till, he told me, and left

The food was good, I had special curry which has generous amounts of chicken, beef, king prawn, onion and mushroom, all in equal measure. The base sauce is delicious too, and the egg fried rice was fresh, soft and fluffy, I like to add a bit of hot sauce to it but other than that it's perfect, doesn't even need salt, delicious

Ordered a set meal for 2, more than enough to feed 3 of us , really enjoyed the food

Your chips were awful, you scraped the barrel with these. They were literally just crisp, no chips!

I love coming here, we have been using fortune house for at least 6 years now and we keep coming back even close to midnight🤣. The food is also so delicious. Thank you fortune house, I will keep coming !

By far the worst Chinese takeaway I've ever ordered from . Food arrived cold and inedible. Took one bite of a spring roll and spat it out . Tried to force myself to eat the chicken chow mein but nope couldn't it was tasteless and the chicken was horrible like rubber . All gone in the bin . The chilli salt chips were horrible all I could taste was sesame oil .
