A spectacular pizza, very Neapolitan, very delicious

4.5/5 On my recent trip to London, I ended up dining at this amazing pizza place in Aldwych. I was a bit apprehensive at first, since my experience at their Canterbury branch was beyond high praises and wondered how Aldwych would fare in comparison. I ordered the same kind of pizza (with same request for some amendment) and they happily complied. While the pizza at Aldwych did not taste as heavenly, but the service was just as unparalleled or better! Klejla was absolutely patient while interacting with me and other customers as well. She regularly checked to see if things were alright and came across as a wonderful front-of-house staff. A special shout out to Naiara, the chef: She was sure to flash a genuine smile at her customers whenever they caught her busy at the craft. She even managed to interact with a toddler and tended to the child's curiosity about everything they could see in the open kitchen space. Overall, a good experience as always! I wish there was a Franco Manca in York as well.

Really poor service, forgot half our food and drinks

The service was very bad. We had to ask multiple times to order, then we had to ask multiple times for our drinks, to get our bill and to pay our bill. We told the waiter about the delays and how unhappy we were and we got ignored. Don’t come to this place unless you want to wait and remind the waiters for everything you need.

DONT order the chocolate cake trust me

We went there with our kids and service + attention was excellent. Staff members were friendly and patient with the boys, thanks team. Food excellent too.

1 star because they said there was no cheesecake so I had to choose affogato and 2 minutes later another waiter came and said there was cheesecake..

Franco manca is always a safe bet for food, but special mention to lovely Abbey and the manager for being very patient with us and our various vouchers/stamps! Made our meal very pleasant

Pizza was good but not great. Decent price. Near the theaters, so good option if you're attending a show. Just, like so many place in the UK and Europe, if you ask for tap water they think you're crazy and then they never bring it.

A good option if you want to make some time before going to the Mamma Mía musical. We have eaten in many better Italians, but the food was acceptable.

Stopped here for food pre theatre , we were quickly fitted in by gentleman who was front of house, he was great! Very cheerful and helpful despite a very very busy time on Thursday (? Talin) Great restaurant, fresh pizza, freshly made, best I've tasted, great price and so large we had to take a doggie bag ( theatre fortunately kept and returned post performance) . Thanks and please open one in Portsmouth

Really nice pizza place. A few unusual items but freshly made dough and quality ingredients shined here. Service was great. Shubham was attentive and kind throughout.

Came here for dinner before going to the theatre, I’d recommend going a little earlier than planned as it packs out quickly despite being huge! Had lovely service from Shubham, and the food came out really quickly which works well for having a quick bite before the show.

Visité con parientes de la India. Un sábado a la hora de comer el restaurante estaba muy ocupado, y sin reserva tuvimos la suerte de conseguir una mesa en el sótano. La habitación era bastante sencilla pero bastante agradable. Franco Manca no es una cadena de restaurantes de lujo. El énfasis está en la pizza excelente no en la decoración. Éramos cuatro, uno de los cuales come como un gorrión. Hay un montón de opciones para todos los gustos. Tomé una pizza de salami picante, mi sobrino amante de la carne una amitriciana con panceta y cerdo, y su madre vegetariana una margherita con hongos extra salvajes. Los pizzes son de estilo napolitano, una base fina y crujiente pero de corteza gruesa. Ofrecen una variedad de sumergir la corteza. Una gran idea, nueva para mí, pero deliciosa. Y todos disfrutamos de nuestro pizze. A menudo me cuesta comer una pizza entera, pero felizmente me las arreglé para esta, tan sabrosa pero no demasiado pesada. Compartimos solo un tiramisú bastante grande, también delicioso. Entre nosotros tomamos un refresco, limonada casera, un spritz (que me encantó ) y dos copas de vino. La elección de vinos es buena y en su mayoría italianos. El precio de una pizza es de alrededor de £ 12 - 13 , y nuestra factura total incl. un cargo razonable por servicio de 10 pc fue de £ 87 , no demasiado, especialmente en el centro de Londres. El servicio de nuestro camarero italiano fue espléndido. El hombre es una joya, con un gran sentido del humor, y manejaba toda la habitación por sí mismo. Bravo! Volveremos.

La comida era fantástica como siempre y Félix era increíble. Ayudó a nuestro hijo a aprender a hacer su propia pizza espontáneamente y fue un placer. Lo recomendaría a cualquiera con un niño curioso.

We went to FM Aldwych for my son’s 15th birthday. We had dinner before watching mama Mia. Such a lovely restaurant, excellent location, great service. Our waiter was Leon and he was amazing, always coming to us for decisions around the birthday boy. Would defo recommend!

The food is always great at Franco Manca. This is one of my go to places for Neopolitan pizza. The Aldwych outlet is great, fast service and good ambience.

We ordered the new Franco's favourite pizza with amatriciana sauce, it was delicious! The music was also very cool and the service fantastic, thank you Shubham!

My partner and I had a dinner there last Sunday. It was a great pizza and the atmosphere was very nice as well. Our server, Leon, was also very attentive and helpful. Thanks :)

Yesterday, 29 Oct 2024, was the first time I have ever visited a Franco Manca. Never again. We went pre theatre. We waited over 30 mins to be served. In the end my friend had to go to the front of the store to ask if it was okay for our order to be taken? During that 30 min wait where we waited, we wasn’t even asked if we would like a drink! Beyond embarrassing, customer service non existent, what a waste of time it was. Honestly, the food wasn’t up to much either.

Not that good, and they are not behaving well with asians as well.

I’ve been to several Franco Manca branches, always my go to despite generally not being a big fan of chain restaurants because of the top notch service and child friendliness. However this branch customer service was non-existent. No kids menu offered nor any kids colouring despite dining with kids. I was minded to take off the service charge but didn’t as Id ratter give them the benefit of doubt. The restaurant was also practically empty so no excuses. Really really dissapointed.
