Wonderful food and a very nice service. There was also set menu incl. Starter main and desserts at a very reasonable price. There were many items to choose from. I particularly liked scallops delicately seared, turkey slices handcarved and my husband had delicious lamb fillet with a very good sauce. Was a bit noisy but it's Christmas. There is parking nearby.

Uche was very helpful and polite, but i had the burger which wasn’t up to my standards. Recommend the prawn linguine and apple tart.

I've been a regular at this place and decided to book a table for my birthday on Saturday, December 14th. Although we were seated in a conservatory-style area rather than the main dining room, which was fine, the experience didn't meet my expectations. The waiter, recognizing me, offered birthday wishes and his services for the day, which was a nice touch. I ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir, but it was served at a surprisingly cold temperature, straight from the fridge. Ideally, red wine should be served between 14 and 18 degrees Celsius. Despite this, I chose not to make a fuss and simply continued with my meal. Communication was almost impossible due to the excessively loud music. The establishment features a bar area, and unfortunately, the bar's music spilled over into the dining section, which is not suitable for restaurant diners. I requested that the waitress ask the manager to lower the volume, but the response was a firm "no." When I asked to speak with the manager myself, he dismissed my request. A second manager approached, and I explained my background as a director of six restaurants and a hotel in London. I tried to convey the importance of appropriate dining music, but his response was dismissive. He stated that I was entitled to my opinion, but they wouldn't adjust the music. I was genuinely shocked by this attitude and have decided not to return to this venue.

Brilliant food and service. Particularly enjoyed the battered halloumi and chips.

I visited with friends for Sunday lunch and had checked the vegan options on the menu ahead of time to make sure there would be something that I could eat. However on looking through the menu when we were at our table, I noticed that the one vegan roast option (butternut squash and celeriac wellington) was listed as vegan on the Christmas menu but vegetarian on the Sunday menu. On clarification with the kitchen, our server confirmed that it was vegetarian, and not vegan, and didn't seem concerned at all that it was incorrectly listed on the Christmas menu (which is especially a concern for any allergy sufferers). I ordered the banana blossom stew instead, but the portion was so small (barely starter sized, yet listed and priced as a main) that I was left starving. I would have appreciated even some bread or something on the side to bulk out the meal, if not more of the stew. And not even the chips are vegan here, somehow, despite being vegetarian. My friends (both meat eaters) had roast dinners and were very satisfied with their meals, and I would say the selection of sodas was nice. The staff also seemed very friendly and happy to advise. I just would not recommend anyone who is vegan to visit here, no matter what it may say on the menu. *EDIT*: as to the reply from the Freemasons' Arms regarding having two different items on the overall menu with the same name but one being vegan, the other vegetarian, I'm baffled as to why a) the Sunday menu version cannot also be vegan, and b) why they have the same name as that can lead to so much confusion both for the customer and surely also a risk of confusion for the kitchen. I have no issues with the information given to me, but when I'm handed both menus as options to order from as a customer and I have to personally ask for clarification because even the waitress is confused as to why they're listed differently, this seems like a truly bizarre choice of management in putting together the menus. I would also like to note that our waitress simply said that the roast was overall vegetarian and not vegan, and mentioned nothing about the Christmas menu version being vegan. She seemed to believe that both options were vegetarian, which is what she was told by the kitchen. If this was a case of not being able to order from the Christmas menu, why were we given it?

Service was incredibly slow. Arrived on time at 12.30 and weren't served our mains until 13.50, which isn't ideal with two very young children. We asked for a high chair when booking online and again on arrival. 5 minutes later, still stood holding our boy with no high chair, so had to go back and ask again. Once the main courses were cleared, we waited 20-25 minutes before having to go and request dessert menus. Aside from the turkey the food itself was pretty average; the sprouts were rock solid, only one small pig in blanket, stuffing was overcooked on the outside and undercooked/gooey on the inside. No pigs in blankets for the kids. We generally visit the Freemasons every Xmas with the family, but this will be the last one unfortunately.

I went there on Saturday and the place seemed nice and cleaned. I was served by Ignas and the food, as well as being good, has arrived quite quickly. I’d definitely recommend it!

We came here for Christmas dinner so ordered off the festive menu(3 courses). Our server Susie was so lovely, often checking up on us and giving us menu recommendations. Service speed started fairly quickly, but then wait times got progressively longer towards the end of the night. The four of us all got the turkey roast for our main, we found it a bit strange that a lot of the food items were in separate little bowls, our veg was put in a sharing plate between two. At least for our group, we just would’ve preferred to have everything plated together. We also realised we were missing the stuffing and pigs in blankets, but they were quick to rectify that (although a couple of them were edging on burnt) and our roast potatoes were missing that crispy finish to them… Atmosphere was nice and cosy though, very festive!

The food and atmosphere were fantastic and Camila’s dedication to making us feel welcome was fantastic. It’s rare to find someone so passionate and skilled in hospitality. Thank you the team for making our Christmas party so special – we’ll definitely be back soon!

We had our work Christmas meal at the Freemasons and it was absolutely delicious. The food was amazing, the value was incredible, and the staff were delightful. A big thank you to Susie who looked after us so well, and couldn’t be more accommodating.

Our server Mimi at the Freemasons was superb in every sense. She was attentive, smiley and went above and beyond to make our booking so enjoyable. The festive menu is delicious and great value for money. Just remember to maybe skip breakfast as the lunch was wholesome and filling.

Ate here on a trip to UK to visit on of our sons. Lovely evening, great service, my linguini, prawn and chorizo was delicious, our sons lamb was good, husbands pie not so great. All in all a success.

My all time favourite pub and restaurant. Great setting and interiors. Staff were so considerate and accommodating especially with my toddler and brought his small portion first. Believe it or not this could have been the difference between a great meal and a meltdown. Excellent Sunday roast as always but can get very busy so book in advance !!

The food took a long time to arrive but we were offered a vegetable dish on the house to keep us going, The food was good, and the waitress helpful. No complaint on either matters. When I booked the table I was notified it was for a maximum of two hours. However, I was pissed off when a senior staff members told us someone was waiting for our table after one and a half hours, This was poor management and sheer greed. You heard the axiom - when a customer experience is good, he tells one person. When it’s bad - he tells ten.

I came here with high hopes. The atmosphere was nice, though a bit too noisy and too stuffy. The service was alright, however we waited a full hour between ordering and receiving the roasts. The sad aspect was the actual roast. The potatoes were rock hard, partly boiled but clearly not roasted. The pork belly was bland, the Yorkshire pudding burnt and the pork crackling tasted very rancid (?!). Yes, the parsnips were delicious, but that’s not why I trekked there to pay £20 for. Such a shame..

Location: 5/5 - Food: 1/5 - Service: 0/5 - Price: just no/5. I genuinely believe the only thing keeping this place afloat is the nice location and gorgeous building. Such a sad Sunday Roasts, surrounded by unprofessional service. Between the 1st and last dish to arrive at the table, almost 15min had passed (5 people). 2 dishes were wrong. What shocked me the most was seeing our server as he cleared the extra cutlery on the table, that he put it back in the same drawer it came from. That's some cross-contamination right there. A refresher on how not to poison people would be appreciated.

Although we arrived late, and the stuff was tired, they were very welcoming and properly and kindly looked after us until the we left. The food was excellent and the atmospere was very relaxing. Both me and my son had a great time.

Me and my partner were found a table despite it being busy and we were treated wonderfully by Ola and Johe. The cocktails and wine were delicious and the food made by Bugra was sensational, if you’re in the area and looking for quality service, food, drinks and a gorgeous atmosphere then you can’t look further than The Freemason Arms.

We all had roasts! The pub was very busy and had a buzzing atmosphere. Our server Camilla was nice and friendly with us. We’ll definitely be back.

I visited this place on the off chance after hearing some great things from some friends, and I must say I was not disappointed at all! I had, I must say the best espresso martini made by Camila I believe her name was. She was very friendly, very attentive and made my drink to perfection! Evite a menos que tenga 2 horas libres para esperar entre cursos. El personal era grosero y lleno de mierda. Esperó 60 minutos entre el arranque y el arranque. Unusual experience- waitress listed to us charmlessly, almost with an element of pride that most of the options on menu had “run out” (at 7pm dinner). My friends drink tasted toxic and of petrol. The linguine was kind of hard - definitely too al dente. Strange post pandemic/bank holiday/apocalyptic/ mayhem but expensive and pasta in a neighbours garden probably would have been served with more smiles and probably tastier. I've just unfortunately returned here forgetting my last review, above which was terrible, three years ago! Well, in November 2024 I have now just had the worst pizza I've ever had the misfortune to encounter and actually ingest ultimately, out of hunger, in my life. It had NO TOMATO SAUCE to start with, which was horrible- and there was no warning of this horrible omission. I sent the first one back (which is not something I normally do) as it tasted like something from the freezer at Iceland sold in a box of 6. It tasted actually of pure nothing. Like eating pizza base. They had promised basil, but it had no basil. "Basil!" I started to wonder if I had Covid it was so very very bland. Maybe it's early onset dementia? If the food is making you ask yourself these sort of questions you have to wonder. The replacement pizza was the horror that had no tomato and was basically just a cloying mass of cheese melted on bread with a. few posh mushrooms thrown on top (just hope they weren't poisoned after my grumbling). I started to wonder if I was actually turning into Gordon Ramsay, or just hitting my middle-age hard, but I also found the fact we need to order digitally so depressing. And when they do come over to talk to you, they look at you like some terrible alien that has landed unannounced in their restaurant. The manager seemed preoccupied told me rather rudely I thought, that 'other people like the cheese pizza' and wasn't much interested in my disgust. Maybe they just 'suck it up' I suggested. Not everyone is happy to kick up a stink. First world problems and all. Still, I had been looking forward to that treat with my toddler.

The atmosphere was cozy, the drinks were top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. But the real highlight of the night was our server, James. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel welcome and taken care of!!

Great food and atmosphere. The Beef Pie was smashing. Anna and Noah and the rest of the team were great. Lovely caramel sauce on the Sticky Toffee Pudding. We had two drinks each, a main meal and shared a dessert.

Come back to Hampstead to walk around in the woods with my sister who is visiting from abroad and have a great lunch and drinks at The Freemasons Arms Again! Very nice food and service. Thanks to Javier and Susie! Make sure to try the Tommys margarita!

Fantastic welcoming atmosphere but a bit dark. (- too dark to read the menu. We needed our phone torches) Food was good. Service was excellent. Staff were extemely friendly and helpful. Two of us had 1 starter, 2 mains, 1 hot drink and a dessert. We drank water. Our total was £80. Perfect place for a date night.

We had a table booked for 2:45pm for Sunday lunch and upon arriving were made to stand and wait for 15 minutes, the table wasn’t ready until 3pm. The food then took an hour and a half to come. They were so slow that I had a low blood sugar turn and when the food did arrive it wasn’t worth the price - the potatoes were so tough. The service was terrible, no communication and when we asked staff things they forgot and wouldn’t do it. At the end, the girl who took our payment asked us to leave a review if it was positive and not to bother if it was negative. A very disappointing experience that ruined my Sunday.

Terrible place. We were immediately made to feel unwelcome, and then had to wait for over 45 minutes for our food - fish and chips, a salad and a curry. The manager, Javier, was arrogant and condescending and trying to gaslight us, saying it was "only" 27 minutes. We shall not be back.
