We visited on Weds (4 Sept) at 1230pm and the shop was closed without any notice on their Facebook. Very disappointed as we went there out of our way and totally wasted our time. Edit: Well, the owner said he had updated Google and Instagram. I actually did check on Google before coming over, which stated the shop was opened at 12pm, and there is no notice on their Instagram as well.

The lunch deal and today’s special are amazing! The food feels fresh and has a homely vibe to it. Would definitely recommend:)

I had the chicken satay rice box with egg fried rice and it was terrible. In my experience chicken satay is grilled or at least marinated, whereas this was plain flavourless chicken breast accompanied by a thick gooey coagulated sauce which was very unappetising. The egg fried rice was also disappointing , I struggled to find a single bit of egg in the entire portion. I feel bad writing such a scathing review considering the staff was so friendly and I only tried one dish, but that was honestly the worst £7.50 I have spent in a long time.

Ordered rice, noodles and sweet and sour tofu for delivery. Rice and noodles were delicious. However, I was sent sweet and sour chicken instead of tofu (it looked great but I don’t eat meat so had to give it a miss). If you are vegetarian check what you’ve been given. Will be back to try again :)

The food here is brilliant, chefs are nice, the only thing is that there are not many seats to dine in but it is worth it.

Awesome Cantonese BBQ. Had the char siu and crackling pork. Came to visit Bristol from Southampton for a trip but would make the journey just for this food.

Honestly can’t remember the taste due to jet lagged, but I remembered that portion was huge and as one with small appetite, I finished 3/4 of it so it must be delicious

Popped in here for Friday Treat lunch - I'd walked past earlier in the week and had thought oo the lunch deal sounds good. So today I went in and was delighted I did. I picked up a lunch special of Szechuan Chicken with egg fried rice (large). It was delicious, really good portion, good value for money and service was speedy too. Staff very friendly. Nothing worse than spending a lunch time in a queue! Will definitely be back to try the roast meats & for lunch another Friday. If you are around Kingsdown & fancy a super tasty lunch, then I'd recommend.

Greatest food in all of Bristol, very authentic keep coming back for more especially the duck, highly recommend for anyone and everyone. Craving it as I'm writing this. The customer service is beyond incredible the staff are so friendly and will cater to your needs, needed the board cleaned and knife as I can't have my food mix with pork, and there was no fuss about doing it, they were more than happy to do it. Great mix of food and customer service.

this place has been on my mind for nearly 2 years, finally managed to get there today and I was not disappointed!! Absolutely beautiful, the pork with crackling is next level!! Cannot wait to go back, may even go again tomorrow 😂♥️

I came twice, but I didn't get anything. Google Maps said it was open, but the store was closed. Bad mood, and really tired to climb up from below. Can stores update their status in real time on Google Maps?

Their lunch deals are super worth it. Got this roast meat (crackling pork) + rice for £6. You also get chili oil if you ask! They’ve also got a different lunch special that I must go back to try. Pork was tasty and cooked perfectly. The only thing I’d love is if the rice was boiled in chicken stock rather than plain rice (but that’s just me being nit picky). They do have an option for you to change the rice to fried rice for 50p. Might try that option next time.

Fresh roast is a gold mine of tasty food! I go as much as I can and I'm never let down by it! The food always tastes amazing and the chicken wings are so good I get four bags.... I don't share them. The guys who run it are legends and are always super friendly! Make this your spot for a quick bite for lunch or a big night in with friends and family! 10/10 🙌

OMG - I love this place. Every time I go to the Chiropractors I pop in for lunch. I'm assuming it's family run, with a young friendly man out front with the experience and wisdom on the flames. Simple and so good. Best in Bristol - Crackling Pork Rice Box is off the chart - upgrade to fried rice and say yes to the chilli sauce. Hot on no plastic and great value.

Delicious and great value, for the lunchtime £5 rice box. A huge portion which i shouldn't finish, but i always do. Tastes pretty similar to the food i grew up with, so even an emotional experience for me.

Love this place and have been coming here for lunch for years but unfortunately with everything in Bristol, they have increased their prices and decreased their portions! Still really tasty but a decent portion that used to cost £5 now cost £7.50, quite an increase...oh well 😔

As a Chinese students, I'd say this is the best Cantonese fast food in Bristol. It tastes the most authentic though it's a takeaway restaurant. It's always been my first choice among all Chinese restaurants here. Compared to other Chinese restaurants(I have tried all of them), Fresh gives you the most amount with the lowest price. Trust me, it's the only authentic restaurant here in Bristol I''ll give that to them.

As a Chinese student, I think the only advantage of this restaurant should be attributed to their good location, which is just 2 minutes walk to the library and campus. However, the price is somewhat high, and the food is not so tasty. Do not recommend unless you are extremely hungry after the lectures.

Pretty good, slightly over-salted depending on the dish, but good value for money. Seems to have sporadic opening hours so have stopped trying.

Fantastic Chinese food, took me back to when I lived in Beijing! The daily meal deal is always filling and at a very good price too. It's a shame they close when the university is on hoiliday though. I wanted to take some friends there over the summer but they were closed until September.
