Fridays Chip Shop in Peterborough

No es tan amable como el propietario original y no te sientes como en casa. He estado tres veces desde que se hicieron cargo y fue a peor cada vez. Soy un lugareño y probablemente no volveré a pedirles. Con suerte, conseguiremos otro propietario que se preocupa por la calidad de su comida! Porque estos tipos claramente no. Después de haber encontrado ambos restos de pub en el pueblo que no sirven comida cuando visita un evento local. El personal de un bar me recomienda este lugar. Bueno, yo estaba alegremente acomodado en una mesa con un regular encantador y me hicieron bienvenido. La cena asada fue genial, excelente relación calidad-precio e hice un nuevo amigo con mis compañeros comensales. Realmente recomiendo en el servicio cocina casera sabrosa comida de calidad y gran relación calidad-precio.

After driving 5 miles home I find that the order I've been given is someone elses, that, or the large piece of fish I ordered and paid for shrank on the journey. The quality of food has been variable for a while now, and I'm giving up using this place now.

Absolutely rubbish chips and wouldn’t recommend going, the lady and man behind the counter are out the back fagging it and then without washing their hands are coughing all over the food. The both of them you can tell have black teeth and are rude to sitting customers. You can tell they don’t get a lot of customers as the place is a dive and needs a full Make over.

These are the worst fish and chips we have ever eaten,the fish was over cooked and had obviously been reheated,the batter was too hard to eat ,the chips were hard and mainly small very hard chips.this was our first visit and will not be returning, Disgusting!! Saturday 10th Feb.

Just had fish and chips from Fridays (takeaway) and had to write about it..! Great chips, good sized fillet of fish in perfectly cooked batter and not at all greasy. The fish was boxed separately to the chips, so kept crispy and the fish was flaky and superb. The portion size was big and well worth the price. If you had a smaller appetite one portion would do two people. I would say this was the best fish and chips I have had in a long while.

We were looking for afternoon tea in Crowland, but none of the Cafes or Tea Shops were open. We just wanted a cup of tea and a light snack, it was a bit too early for a full meal. As a last resort we asked in Fryday's if they'd be happy to just serve us with Tea. They were happy to do so and offered us a range of freshly baked cakes too. We had a nice pot of tea and a bit of cake each; Eccles cake and a Viennese slice, which were both very good. Just what we were looking for, and very relaxing and refreshing. So, not just Fish and Chips!

We called in at 2pm in the way home from a hospital appointment so opted for takeaway. This was the best fish and chips we agreed that we had eaten for many years, superb quality fish and the chips were perfect.

disappointing. Can't say it's bad but its not the best either, the batter is often slightly overcooked for my liking. It's cash only, which is a pain as the cash machine in the town is often empty. They close early (7pm on saturday, 8.30pm weekdays) and closed on Sundays. More annoying is the use of polystyrene containers. Come on Fry days, up your game and get card machines and use paper wrapping. We tend to drive past and travel and extra 8 miles and use a chip shop in deeping.

I have lived locally for the last 20 years. This was when i first visited Frydays. I was not impressed then, never went again. I made a recent visit as we were moving out of the area/house and thought it was worth the risk. Total disappointment, i mean beyond total disappointment. My fish was not just over cooked, it was totally dry and brown at the thin end from sitting in the hood. Freshly cooked??? And I think the worst piece of fish I have ever had from a chip-shop. The chips were not any better. They were just a congealed lump of soggy chips. You could not pick up and individual chip with a fork. It isn’t cheap for the portion size either to be honest. Yes, I am the only negative reviewer but I can in no way see how it gets 5 stars with what we got served. As the only fish and chip shop in Crowland may be people or used to the standard of quality Check it if you want based on the other reviews. I would never go their again

Freshly cooked fish and chips for four people. Had to wait a while as shop was very busy but well worth the wait. Always friendly staff.

live in peterborough but travelled to crowland to try some fish and chips from fridays well worth the journey in my opinion these were the best fish and chips in this area including peterborough

Lunchtime cod and chips. Chunky cod, lovely batter and lovely chips. Always a friendly welcome. Fish always cooked fresh for you unlike most places. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

This place is in North Street, Crowland, not Peterbrough. It is a takeaway but -0 rare these days - has a nice little restaurant attached. The whole place is spotless, clean and bright. One of us had (an enormous) plaice and the other cod. Both were excellent. This place is worth a detour.

it also has an eat in cafe at lunch time and evening...the fish is huge and the chips are double cooked they also do good kids portions

Call for a meal most weeks,always freshly fried to order.not at all greasy.fully recommend.i always eat in the restaurant and have a pleasant chat with the owner

We had a nice piece of lincolnshire plum loaf with our morning coffees. Very popular with locals and visitors alike. Pleasant staff

Everything cooked fresh to order, spotlessly clean and fresh. Best of all there is a small cafe for dining there.

Had fish and chips for 2 was absolutely amazing. Probably the best fish and chips I've had for ages. Good size portions with curry sauce and pickled onions. Perfect. The owners couldn't have been nicer. I would highly recommend.

Reservamos una mesa para 19. 30 pero estaban corriendo unos minutos tarde, así que llamé y esto no fue un problema. Había 7 de nosotros y la orden fue tomada rápidamente. Nuestras bebidas salieron rápidamente seguido por la comida que estaba recién preparado. Las patatas fritas eran agradables y suaves por dentro y ligeramente crujientes en el exterior. El pescado era un buen espesor con pasta hermosas sábanas nuevas. Nuestra hija y su novio de Londres y dijo que eran las mejores que hemos probado en mucho tiempo.

Todos viven fuera de Peterborough, pero Crowland es el perfecto punto medio para nosotros para ponerse al día sobre un poco de comida. Siempre nos hemos ido a otro lado, pero esta vez, la escasez de plazas de aparcamiento significaba que no podía aparcar en la zona habitual. Resultó ser la mejor, ya que nos advirtió por primera vez el aroma y luego que había un pequeño restaurante en el interior. Todos estuvimos de acuerdo en darle una oportunidad.

Food is always freshly prepared using local ingredients and tastes amazing! Staff are always very welcoming and helpful.

This is a great chip shop excellent service and you get lots of scraps, the fish is cooked to perfection as are the chips set in the heart of crowland village.
