Visit here once a week with work staff are always polite and friendly and the food is always good

Great pizzas, good chips and kebab. The lads always have a smile on their face and happy to help. Great takeaway, glad the village has this place.

Lovely staff. Phoned to see if they took payment cards (they do) & they offered to prepare our fish & chips so we could just collect. Fish were massive & really quite meaty (in a fish sense). Really enjoyed them & would highly recommend.

Make sure your hungry portions are lion sized

Lovely customer service and the cod and chips were so very fresh and delicious. Mushy peas to die for! Hubby loved the scampi. Chips delicious. We will definitely be back.

Always lovely food, and great people, always hard working and friendly. Would recommend the pizzas and tikka kabab.

People seem to rave about this place but I am not so sure. Had to wait ages to get served as they had nothing ready. Fish was nice, big and tasty but the chips were all little bits, hard over cooked and went cold quickly.

Still probably the best fish and chips in the area. Called in at lunchtime and surprisingly busy. Food was excellent, pmentyful and very hot .

Gone to cash only, i wont be forced to pay with dirty cash. To busy talking they covered the whole meal with gravy and chips were drenched in oil.

Sorry to say did not enjoy my fish and chips fish over cooked and very dry, meal not worth the money.

Just had the best meal ever. Ordered when i went in, super fast service, friendly as anything, great staff and huge portions.Can Highly recommend Fryers Plaice good old fashioned food proper chips proper fish A++++++

Best chip shop in the area, staff are very polite and helpful. Manager/owner is always accommodating for requirements. Nice sized portions and good value for money. Definitely worth trying this place.

Found this place last year having lived here 5 years. I’ve ate at some top chippys, namely Colemans and Harbour View and Pantrinis, and this one tops all! Huge portions, fish is outstanding quality, and it comes with a slice of lemon. You know it’s posh when it comes with a lemon slice! Excellent value too! A great find and worth travelling just to try!

Best fish and chips we've had for a long time, been back quite a few times even tho we live a few miles away, great value too.

Usually love this place but just stood in the queue for 10 minutes to get to a sign that said cash preferred. £5 minimum spend on a card. I didn't have cash and my order wouldn't have come to £5. I now have 2 disappointed kids but what concerns me more is the fact that cash is being requested. In the current climate, contactless payment should be encouraged.

Popped in for lunch wow, kids had chicken nuggets and chips they were proper chunks of chicken and the batter was lovely and crisp, for kids meals portions were huge and a great price. My food was just as good and Staff were friendly and chatty i will definitely recommend this chip shop and will travel the extra 10 minutes to get here over my local one

Fantastic fish and chips! Great value

We've been here a few times and called in last thing lunchtime yesterday. It's always been good and it made me realise just how good it is after a previous trip for fish and chips in Rowlands Gill when Fryers Place was closed. It's not cheap but is excellent quality and portions. The fish was beautifully cooked and the chips fresh and plentiful. Service was quick and friendly. Its definitely the best fish and chips in the area.

Great chippy.steve the owner is always in high spirits.we normaly get the kebab special on a friday.fantastic.but beware you will want a lie down when you have ate it.

I pop in here every Wednesday evening for food for me and the kids and it's without doubt the best chippy in this area. Fantastic food and good portions.The chips are not greasy and the prices are fair. The owner and his staff are all pleasant. I've honestly tried all the chippies around now and it's worth travelling an extra few miles to come here in my opinion!

Very nice fish and chips, not greasy and dripping in oil a good dry batter on the fish nice chunky chips, award winning chippy but quite a few years ago, has a good range of product, doesn't seem to open very late on a night not sure of hours suggest you check the website should you want late fry up, a small amount of off-road parking infont available

Fish and chips are very nice, but a long wait.

Great portions but they rarely seem to have anything ready so can be a bit greasy. On the flip side, it's freshly cooked and hot. Still the best chip shop in the area.

I'm not a huge fan of fish and chips but I do like them from here. Not overly greasy, with good flavour and cooked well.

Dreadful, simply dreadful. Chips were just the leftovers and bits of batter, already wrapped up and under the lights. Who knows how long they'd been there but they were rank. No idea how the place is still in business. Maybe I just picked the wrong time to go. I'll not be giving it a second chance though.

Delicious food recommend the sauages, fish and chicken nuggets!! Chips are delicious and freshly home made. Best fish and chips around closest thing you will find to seaside fish and chips!

The kebab meat from here is microwaved, you just wouldn’t? Had to take it back after taking one look at it!
