Superb anniversary surprise. Every tiny detail of this evening has been excellent. The food, drink and service all 5 stars. I would say Furna deserves the best in Brighton and possibly Sussex accolade. The team couldn’t do more to make our evening memorable. Can’t wait to return.

Was our third visit last night and this place never disappoints. Absolutely amazing food, very knowledgable and friendly chefs and waiting staff. It’s hands down my favourite restaurant ever, we have tried other fine dining restaurants and this one blows it away!

An unexpectedly uneven experience at this fine dining restaurant. I can recommend sitting at the bar as it provides a great interactive dining experience in seeing the chefs at work. However, my partner found the atmosphere pretentious. The wine list was certainly OTT on price. I had a limited choice of food because of an allergy (the menu is quite short), but they were responsive to those requirements. The aged beef tartare was great, but I thought it was too salty, especially served with crisps. Unfortunately that over-salting was repeated in other dishes I tried. The lamb belly was also very fatty. However, the presentation of the food was excellent. The drinks were expensive and I do object to being presented with a Gin and a tonic (ordered separately) with no choice about the amount of tonic added. It swamped the gin so that it was undetectable. £8 for a double espresso!

We were two couples. We had a wonderful meal and all agreed it was one of our best meals ever. Will definitely be returning. The chef and waiting staff were friendly and attentive.

Having no booking for the evening we stumbled upon this little gem. We managed to get a table which was lucky considering how busy the restaurant was and the limited tables. We decided on the tapas direction and were not disappointed. In particular the cod goujons and the stuffed peppers were delightful and went down very well with a bottle of Alberino. This was all further enhanced by the relaxed and highly profficient service

The food is top class from this family run restaraunt. Singapore noodles are my favourite and have just the right amount of spice. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic, tasty Chinese food.

97 North RoadEdit: Maybe we came on a busy day because although there is a small wait of about 10 minutes, it's very fast for a small business with many customers. Thanks for the reply, 100% coming back to this absolute gem. Burgers so good it's not even on the scale. Service relatively slow and time approximations incorrect. Definitely worth it for world's greatest burgers and it's hard to be cross as decently popular.

19 North StreetI ate here at the weekend, and it was really lovely. The food was SUPERB - well presented and very filling. I had the Garden breakfast with salmon - I will be recreating this at home - and my niece had the avocado on toast with cherry tomatoes and mushrooms. The service was very good - polite, smiley and very welcoming. I loved that when we sat down at a table, a member of staff turned on the heater. The atmosphere was intimate, and the interaction with some of the other customers was fantastic. I absolutely loved the decor and the plants, and the very cool playlist was a bonus. I will definitely visit again when the weather gets warmer.
