Where do I start? The food? Was just awful. Everything was bone dry to the kebab. The chicken kebab the chips will not be ordering again. Waste of money.

Ordered chips and some chicken nuggets on kids menu… chips under cooked and hard and nuggets not even cooked! Disgusting honestly don’t waste your money here!

Chips were like cardboard, refried from previous day, fish was cold. Things missing from order. Reordered on JustEat a few weeks later as I used to love this place, but they cancelled the order after 40 mins of order being placed, with no reason. Rang the restaurant, rude on the phone, refused to answer questions, then stated “I will ring you back”, hung up and never did. Will not be ordering from here again. Disappointed.

Chips were like cardboard, as if they had been standing for a long time. Parts of order was missing. Did not read notes. The chips was horrible like cardboard like they was yesterday’s chips re heated the chicken and donner meat in the wrap was awfully dry took ages to chew, threw half the wraps away and well all the chips won’t be using here again

Disgusting..chips were re -fried from leftovers..donner meat was tough and dry..there wasn't any cooking on the spit so god knows where he got it from . Overall terrible...never again.

0 for service and atmosphere. He never changes the oil, he says “you don’t have to, if you look after it” after cooking battered chips. You’re having a laugh!! Wont be going again. Got offended because I asked him a few questions, such as when do you close! 😅😂😂 absolute idiot,

Chips were absolutely disgusting either the oil desperately needs changing or they have been re-cooked from left over chips. I’ve never tasted chips so awful. Having worked and ran a chip shop I can safely say that this place needs to book up before it’s closed down.

Had masala fish and chips with curry sauce the fish wasn’t even a full piece no taste to it at all the chips looked like they was cooked in old oil very grease and the chips was sticky also had normal fish and chips the normal fish was full of water and the whole meal was put in the bin never will I use these again avoid at all cost

Kebab meat dry like leather, chips not the best worst had in awhile. Battered sausage over cooked coated in salt. Meal never came with can of pop. Worst meal had in ages had to throw away waste of £30

For what we ordered it wasn't worth it feel scammed ordered two large trays of donner meat and chips for £13 EACH thinking last time was in a pizza boxes came in a small trays absolutely fuming not worth it at all very disappointed won't order from there again absolutely ridiculous

The chips was stale there wasn’t even battered chips as stated and the burgers come with chilli on which was not burger sauce and that it did not state that the burgers come with any sauce the attitude of the owner was disrespectful

Chips were awful not battered chips the batter on fish and roe was pale and soggy the fish cake tasted funny and was over cooked it all went in the bin.......this is the second time I have tried this chip shop wasn't very happy then but been a while so I thought I'll give them a second chance wish I hadn't bothered waste of money not happy....

Compared to many other places we have ordered from, the price of the fish compared to Size was extortionate. Delivery was fast, food was hot.

Stone cold hard food with the skin of the kebab which was burnt and overcooked and dry and decided to exchange the food over a dual carriageway I would like a refund. It takes another minute to drive around to the right side of the road you put both of our lives in danger

Avoid Avoid Avoid, ordered for delivery, the fish had a very dicombobulating texture, like how can something be rubbery and mushy at the same time whilst also having the batter be so hard it feels like it's gonna break my teeth when biting into it, the only redeeming item of quality was the potato scallop but even then it tasted more like a puck of wallpaper paste

God this place is awful. Not only do they take ages to serve you even though the place is dead. The food was also terrible and a couple quid over priced!!!

There's few places on Earth quite as amazing as Gary's - Between a stellar food and ordering experience and a wonderful front staff, you really can't go wrong here!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Definitely not enjoyable. Tried to cancel order but wasn’t allowed unless I lost the payment. I don’t know how someone could go wrong with salad and pita, but it’s possible. Everything was horrid. Should be shut down tbh. Don’t waste your money on this place🤮

Delivery woman was great, the food was disgusting, chips were dry and tasteless, sausage was too crispy and burnt, the curry sauce was watery. Overall very disappointed.

Sausage was burnt (easiest think to cook) but I have a feeling it was fried again because it had been sitting idle, based on the texture.. chips were old and not battered chips. Only thing that was edible was the roe. It seemed to be cooked recently. Come on guys, it’s a simple process!? Either put your heart into it or drop it, is my advice.

Well I placed an order at Gary’s fish bar £34.10 when I got home I realised I didn’t have x2 steak & kidney pies, I only had x1 which I paid for x2 pies. I rang up they said I had x2 steak and kidney pies and it’s not possible that they have missed it 🤬

Gave me plain chips instead of the battered chips I ordered, the 2 curry sauce was like wallpaper paste too thick and where was the chicken on the chicken kebab burger there was more bun than meat plain and dry first time ordering here never again

No salad on 3 meals even though states comes with salad no sauce on one meal burnt chips £10.99 box meal came in 6 to 8 inch pizza box more meat on a large for half the money really not impressed

No sauce or salad on cold chicken kebab as advertised. Was over 20 mins late but they are literally 5 mins drive away. Not good

The service was good, arrived earlier than predicted and the order was correct. However, the quality of the food delivered was a disappointment, as having had order from here previously I was shocked. Normally the chips and food are lovely, but this time, the chips and spring roll were over cooked and did not look appetising at all and ended up mostly in the bin. I'm hoping this is a one off and would be willing to order again if I can be compensated for the poor quality of food for this particular order.

Food quality was awful. You could tell the food had been sitting under a heater for ages as the curry sauce had dried up on the chips. And the burger was like charcoal. The order was late by 2 hours and 15 minutes. I wouldn't recommend this service to any one. Customers deserve better

Very polite service and lovely food

Ordered at 4pm said delivery was 5.25pm-5.45pm by 6.30pm my order came, stone cold, looks like chips was cooked the day before, 2/3 of my kids including myself refused to eat it, i asked for salad on all but only got a few strands of lettuce in all of them nothing else, wrap was stingy paid nearly £30 for the bin waste of money 👍

I hate to leave a bad review but unfortunately the food from here wasn't good. The kebab meat was very very dry and hard and didnt taste good either. The naan bread was small thin and dry, more like a crusty roti. The texture of the masala fish wasn't very pleasant and the coating tasted horrible and extremely salty! Even the chips where dry and not enjoyable at all. I was expecting a good chippy meal so it was really disappointing 😞 maybe we just got them on a bad day.

Would have given 0 stars if it was a option, ordered a doner kebab which it says comes with salad and sauce. Received pitta bread with meat in, no salad or sauce, drier than ghandis flip flops. Chips were also awful and cold, had to microwave everything. Rang the restaurant who claimed i needed to put in the notes i wanted salad and sauce, i would have if the description didnt already me tion it came with it. Won't use again

I ordered through Just Eat and restaurant accepted my order, took my money and then cancelled the order- keeping my money! This happened on 16th January and even with complaints through Just Eat, I'm now having to get my bank involved to try get my money back. AVOID!

0.4 miles away a 2 minute drive took over 1.5 hours to come, + delayed the time and was still late, didn’t deliver the drink with the meal the portion sizes are absolute joke also, smallest “large” I’ve ever seen in my life, and the chicken was pink had to throw it away awful awful place, first time trying it never again

I visited here earlier on today ( 27th October 22 ) around 5pm, with my 2 daughters and my Dad. I arrived at the chip shop and was greeted by a lady, the lady then asked what we would want to order (( there was only me in the shop and was no queue etc and nobody else in there ) I placed my order and the lady said there would be a “ short “ wait. I agreed and said that’s okay no problem… still waiting in there with my 2 children now getting restless and crying.. 40 minutes later the food was ready but the food was wrong after waiting 40 minutes and then told us to wait again. No way was we was waiting even longer for something we had just waited 40 minutes for! We then got home and the chips was all burnt and crispy and black. There was no apologies of how long we had been waiting.

I placed a £23 order ...got home 2 portions of chips missing 2 fritters missing .he told me it will take 10 minute's. 40 minute's later still not ready ....chips were old old old.... ...avoid this place

I had fish,curry, chips wasnt too bad 2bh however my partner had Donna meat n chips n he didn't like it,the sauce was more on the chips rather than the meat.Not as bad as the ratings tho I wouldnt say.

Food was cold when got here literally no sauce or salad on anything and the 6 pieces of southern fried chicken I paid £10 for came with 1 piece and 6 tiny fillets. Wasn't even enough to feed what I'd brought it for.

Chip shop closed at 9 I ordered around 7.45 pm the food came at 10pm stone cold from a delivery driver who said he doesn’t work for them he’s doing it as a favour. Terrible I sent the food back with the driver and had a nice drive out to McDonald’s . Honestly don’t bother
