Edison is the best. Great service, the best meat in London

The food was very good but the management is a disaster. So please just focus on the food. In our opinion, the waiting time for the starter was 45 minutes at lunchtime. Too long. Water was only given upon request. So the service isn't overwhelming either. You always had to call the waitress. It never came on its own, but the food was delicious.

Didn’t think too much as I went in as i was just craving steak and Google map suggest it is around my area. Ordered a two-course lunch meal and turned out to be some of the best food I had. The prawn starter is phenomenal literally brighten my depressed January cold and rainy days. The steak is just perfect as I expected as the review and reputation said. Service is pretty decent. I will definitely come back and try more stuff when I have more chill time!

Food was ok for the price as we ordered a set menu. However the atmosphere was not great, quite noisy and tables were relatively close together in a small environment. This made the restaurant feel cheap. Service was ok - expect the waiter to come over with nice cuts of raw meat to try to upsell you before you order food.

My most recent experience at Gaucho was one to remember... We were lucky enough to win one of their free lunch-time deals, in which I had the Beef Tartare Taco and the Cuadril Al Diablo. Both dishes were absolutely exceptional. The flavour explosion from the spices combined with the softness of the meat was absoltely exceptional. I strongly recommend these dishes from their Winter Set Lunch menu. Overall this was an amazing experience, made even better by the incredible service from Guilherme who took fantastic care of us. Thank you Guilherme for everything you did to make the four of us comfortable, you exemplify proper customer service!

Quality meet, perfect prepared. Impressed. Had a 400g argentinian Rumpsteak. No tendons and a perfect medium rare cooking level. No words, no criticism. Very good address for meet in piccadilly in london.

I found the place pleasant and the presence of Chiara at the bureau qualifying. Unfortunately, the big limitation is the lack of accessibility with wheelchairs or other means for disabled people

I went here for my birthday meal with friends and was very surprised with the quality of food, we all had a blast and couldn’t recommend them enough. The customer service was second to none!

Poor vegetarian options. Wasn't my choice, was a corporate lunch, there's one choice that was suitable.

Where do I start? Well when we arrived a little early it was made clear we were too early and we could wait at the bar and we were being held strictly to 1.5hr policy. I jokingly said well you’d best make sure the service is that good and I was assured it would be. Well it seems that was not to be! Josephine was our server and well what can I say? She was appallingly bad. She screwed the order up for the food completely had no advice about the what was good and how to pair things etc. The food came and we had fries delivered which we hadn’t ordered and the mac and cheese didn’t arrive. The fries even though we hadn’t requested were cold and so was the rest of the food. Whilst I appreciate that steak has to rest the other food delivered was cold. The steak wasn’t even of good quality and had an odd taste. One of the managers did come when fries arrived and she said she wouldn’t include on the bill (erm duh we didn’t order!) but then considering the issues we had no one came back to the table to check and see how things were. Josephine knew there were issues and did everything to avoid coming back to our table. Eventually Giovani came and saw how everything had gone wrong and as we hadn’t eaten took the food off the bill. The previous manager was like a praying mantis waiting for us to pay. Just wrong on so many levels. Gaucho - your service and food has dropped massively considering the price you charge and yes if you want to speak to me then drop me a message because I will happily provide appropriate feedback!

Pretentious atmosphere and dated decor: Most of the clientele were male in stags or office parties, it felt more like a seedy gentlemen club. Food was good. Staff were arrogant and looked down at you if expensive items weren’t ordered, far too pushy the upselling. Witnessed two staff arguing loudly in front of customers about cash tips left on a table, very embarrassing to see.

Been coming to Gaucho for many years but this restaurant has really gone backwards. Too many tables for staff and kitchen to handle. Reheated bread, cold chips and overcooked steaks. Much better alternatives nearby

I've been to Gaucho many times in the past and have always had a first rate experience. This visit was a little disappointing. It was a birthday celebration and I booked the table for 8 people almost 6 months prior. Despite this we were sat at the top of the restaurant which is very noisy, with music playing that makes conversation difficult and generally a poor ambience for a family celebratory gathering. Our waiter got our order so wrong that we had to ask for multiple things after the food was delivered (sauces, fries, other sides). The steaks and burgers were excellent, so no faulting Gaucho on that front, but everything else was not to the standard I'd expect from a premium central London restaurant. There are plenty of other options for a good steak in town, I think I'll be frequenting them in the future.

I was visiting my friend for only 2 days in London and I can tell you without any doubt that Edison was the best server in London. Actually in all honestly he was the best part of London (other than seeing my friend obviously)

The sirloin steak was very good, but the steak salad was too dry, with no oil or dressing. The service was always slow, and they didn’t properly clean the table. The interior design wasn’t very nice. The staff were helpful and friendly, but they brought the service very late, which might be due to the kitchen. My rating is 3.

I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant and I can say that it was an unforgettable experience. The food was of excellent quality, with dishes with attention to detail and flavors that exceeded my expectations. The service was impeccable and very fast, but what made everything even more special was the waitress Silvia. Not only was she extremely professional and kind, but she also revealed herself to be an authentic mental coach, making the evening unique with her availability and attention towards clients.

I took my son for late lunch here on Sunday. The vibe from this place is so lovely and what I expect from a steak restaurant. The food was late arriving at our table but it was so worth the wait as the food was delicious. The manager very kindly gave us a discount for the wait - ever so grateful. The server was also very attentive.

We enjoyed their burger with truffle mayonnaise: a real treat 😍

steak was good, chips were not hot enough tbh,however very pricey considering the size of the steak, wine lovely but hard to find anything under 50 a bottle , wouldn't rush back

So many fake single reviews… if only I’d scrutinised these more (Edison is onto a proper racket given the number of times he’s mentioned!). Initially sat upstairs in an otherwise empty room where the staff were bickering just inches from us, making the vibe very awkward. Moved downstairs to a table by the window. Much nicer and a buzzy atmosphere. Immediately asked if we wanted “sparkling or still water”. This is such a racket, and with 13% service charge added, it’s no surprise. After a cocktail (we weren’t rushed into ordering) we began to make our choices and asked for a 400g ribeye… before we’d got the words out the waiter jumped in with “that’ll be too small”. Of course, had she waited, we’d have told her the several other dishes we wanted. It was a constant upsell, and awkwardly so. I swear she tutted when we asked for one of the cheaper bottles of wine. The food was pretty decent; succulent steak (and there was more than enough), tasty morcilla, a fresh salad and a solid (in a good way) macaroni. The chips, however, were a let-down, as was the basque cheesecake. I can’t help think Gaucho has had its day. The uber-masculine surroundings, dated decor and pushy service are all just a bit 90s. Wouldn’t rush back (unless on some else’s expense account).

🤯 Bog standard food, crap service, and charged a premium for the privilege. Won’t be back here anytime soon. I’ve had steak prepared and served twice as good at half the price locally. Service was shocking, and unbelievably slow. Would have been quicker watching paint dry on a wall. Waiter brought my side dish out after I had finished eating my steak. Starter salad was a joke… the proverbial sniff of a lettuce leaving you wondering where the rest of it had vanished? Poncy words on menu make you think you are getting something of substance… but no, it’s a couple of leaves of lettuce. Ordered a drink and when waiter brought it out eventually he stood there forcing it onto the table next to me… eventually the frustrated customer from that next table picked up the drink themselves and brought it over to me knowing it was me who had ordered the drink. Too many staff swanning around looking important with others not having a scooby doo about what customer service is. If you like the pretentious then you’ll fit right in… if you want decent food and a half decent customer experience… go somewhere else. Waste of a good night.

A superb evening. Big work do (early Christmas party) wonderful service if I could give the serving staff 6 stars for our table I would. Oh and the steak. How do they do it. So good it was gone in seconds. Totally recommend.

Possibly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had, especially disappointing for what was supposed to be a reputable restaurant. The staff all seemed too busy or too important to pay attention to customers—even raised hands went unnoticed. After several attempts to place our order, one of the starters came out as a third portion, then was taken away and brought back as a full. Before we even finished our starters, runners were lining up to serve the mains, making us feel rushed without a chance to order a second drink. With all of the waiting, we were out the door within an hour. While the food itself was okay, the experience was overall terrible. The toilets were absolutely disgusting, adding to the disappointment. To make matters worse, the receptionist acknowledged the poor experience and promised to call me and follow up to address the issues, but it’s now been five days, and no one has reached out. At this point, I’m honestly hoping they don’t.
