General Havelock in Redbridge

Went here for drinks and food and the food was nasty, the chef couldn’t speak English so was a language barrier of what I asked for, the manager George is horrible to his staff, has seen to be open past opening times, doesn’t pay his staff on time or the right prices, wouldn’t recommend as the pub is always dead anyways

My kids and I just passed by this pub on Halloween night before 9pm. We got in and played some shooters and had a wonderful time in there. Their service was nice and the music was good not too loud. All customers in the pub were very friendly and so I did not have to worry about security. Its a very good vibes pub that you can pay a visit and enjoy your time when you are happening in that area.

I was a bit worried at first because the area is not necessarily the nicest but the staff was exceptionally kind and accommodating. We felt taken care of and will definitely come back! :) thank you!

Rude staff, owner who lets perverts back in as long as they are spending enough money. Bathroom was disgusting and the atmosphere was lifeless

A decent Juicer with decent selection on draught and cocktails. Pretty and friendly ladies usually working the bar. DJ music on Saturday nights.

Lovely place, good food and friendly staff. There are some tables to sit outside and there are pool tables too. Would recommend this place.

Revisited last week, has really gone downhill since last visit, didn't even finish first drink before leaving would definitely NOT RECOMMEND!!

Friendly pub good evenings entertainment

Gentle men's and very chilled place. Don't expect much noise but expect a peaceful evening here. The staffs are very friendly and attentive to their customers

Very RUDE barmade blonde colour white i just ask can i use your toilet nicely she said no-only when you bought something plus i sayd about the low she call to security which one must to come in 30 min but no one is show up she is put my healt on dangerius condition plus i see some pest in pub I think it is avery not good and no friendly place

Nice old pub in Ilford high street . Live music, live football with pool and nice couch gives you nice experience. Price are little bit higher but it’s worth it. Friday night pub is quite busy and you can see bouncer outside . If you want old authentic pub in Ilford then this is the pub for you

Never bought anything in here myself, yet, mind. Has changed its menu again in February 2019 I believe. Quite pricy food now compared with last makeover last year 2018. Too expensive for me.

Great place to be, staff are very friendly & helpful, I’ve been here on a weekend when they have a DJ really great music but it does get busy so my only bit of advice would be come early to book a table.The security are great as well

Having been going to this establishment for over 8 years recently walking in there was told im no longer welcome in there management there were not willing to give me a reason why but said they have their reasons... I respect that and will no longer go there. Recently I've not been there for 5 weeks due to reasons I don't need to explain to anyone but jokingly have always been told by the manager there that if I drink somewhere else ill be barred and I gather it finally happened. So if you drink in any other pub in Ilford try not to go to the general havelock as you might get barred from there too.

Disappointed by the security guard who demanded £ 5 to enter the pub. When I asked for the pub manager to be invited, he started yelling at us for no reason ... I also asked him to show up and he refused ... I don't recommend anyone because of the security guard ...

General Haverlock Ilford is a Pub that you see, look in and just keep on walking by. They started selling Caribbean food within the last few months (the meals looked interesting on the boards outside). I took the plunge and wasn’t disappointed by the good wholesome food provided by Peez & Sunshinez Bless Up Kitchen. They have a selection of foods from fried / jerk chicken, curry goat and fried fish with rice etc. from £5.50. The Pub on the other hand is pending a much needed upgrade to the entire place especially the grim toilets.

I went there for a quick drink with my partner. Enjoyed the cosy corner with cup of coffee whilst listening to the music. Loved the selection of songs and the DJ did a good job.

It was ok. Place needs a good clean. Drinks overpriced. Pool tables torn and in poor condition. Would not eat there. Not clean enough to trust the kitchen. Drinks fine.

The guy behind the bar just refused to let my 6 month pregnant fiancé use the toilet. Terrible customer service and a basic lack of empathy.
