George's Cafe in Hammersmith and Fulham

Can believe it's still going strong, used to come here nearly every morning back in the early 90s,then do a shift in olympia. Fantastic, tasty breakfast then for no more than 3 or 4 quid. If you want well cooked and value grub come here! Really chuffed it's still going! They deserve it!

Proper traditional English cafe, best full English for miles around, good quality reasonably priced food.

Good breakfast. Decent price. Service is a bit on the low side though. I had asked for a coffee but the guy insisted me to take a latte instead since he made one for someone else mistakenly. When I said no then he told me that he might not be able to get me a coffee since he’s busy! Crap! He is taking everything for granted because the cafe seems busy with the contractors at the moment, it seems.

Great place to have breakfast. Walked 20mins from my hotel to go here. Far better than the reheated or warmed under heat lamps of a hotel. This was cooked to order and great value for money.

I have been working off and on in London for a couple of weeks. Found this gem of a place. Good coffee, Food great made even better served by the owner who has a nice word for everyone.

A place that offers authentic English breakfast. Their clientele consists mainly of local workers, so it is very representative. Clean. The dishes are delicious and at a good price.

Friendliest staff, relaxed atmosphere and big portions! Highly recommended!!! They speak English and Turkish which is very practical.

I was at a conference at Olympia...overpriced food and massive queues. I went for a walk and found this place. A brilliant 'old style' cafe. A massive menu and all freshly prepared. If you are at Olympia - get yourself to George's - support a local business not a chain and enjoy great food.

Roast dinner was disgusting veg was of over cooked bland .my sister was vomiting most of the day afterwards . Potatoes was lumpy not fresh tasteless. Chips tasted weird. Beans tasted like been sitting there for ages. Best thing was sausages. If u wanna be ill go to georges cafe. Even the tea was vile. Needs a clean. Cafe not same as shown online

Had a breakfast here today. Lovely staff with a good selection of freshly cooked food. I had scrambled egg on toast with a coffee and set me up for the day. Highly recommended.

Bit bizarre. The man running the place told me he wasn’t comfortable with me drinking some leftover tea from my thermos. I’d understand if I had pulled out food, but we’d ordered two large plated lunches and were waiting for them, so it’s not like we were skimping or cheating him out of money.

What more can be said. Lovely breakfast, great guy!

Having been to The Cat Show at Olympia we needed to refuel. George's Cafe is within staggering distance from the entrance. Massive menu choice. All the food and drinks arrived quickly. Delicious. Just what we needed. Definitely recommended if you want a traditional Cafe.

It is interesting to see how the reviews here range from 'best cafe in London' to 'awful service, terrible food and rude staff'. But I can only go by my own personal experience, which wasn't too bad. I was here for breakfast before a busy day on an exhibition stand. I usually go to the busier 'Shandeez' cafe around the corner, which is more of a kebab shop, but does a decent breakfast and seems to be popular with cabbies. On this occasion, I thought I would try Geoge's to see how it compares. The guy at the till was chatty, and perfectly polite. I asked for a full breakfast and was given the choice between chips and hash browns, which was nice. Tea/coffee is included with the full breakfast, but I didn't want a hot drink. I opted for orange juice, which was of course a bottled drink and not included in the price. That was not a problem for me, although the guy did say he would upgrade my breakfast with something else. I'm not sure what the upgrade was however, as the breakfast came with two slices of toast anyway. Coming in at a total of £14.80, with the orange juice, I did think it was slightly on the pricey side for a full breakfast, compared say to £9 at Shandeez, albeit without any drinks. On the plus side, the breakfast arrived fairly swiftly, and I was delighted to find that it came with quite a generous helping of beans, as opposed to the usual thimbleful, which was very welcome. The only downside was the sausage which I thought was poor quality and lacked flavour. But as breakfasts go, for this type of establishment, I don't expect gourmet cuisine. Overall, it was a decent breakfast and a good honest caff. As an occasional visitor, I probably would return. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

Feels like home! The best English breakfast in my life. The welcoming atmosphere and delicious food make you feel at home here. I highly recommend any tourist to visit this place and taste authentic English breakfast. Next time when I’m in London I will visit again!

🍳 Great cafe for breakfast and lunch. Loads of options to choose from. Good tea as well☕ The lunch menu of grilled chicken with salad was filling 🧆. Quick service from staff. Soft drinks are priced 💲💲 closer to what you will pay in a pub. During my visit a lot of local regular patrons are seen which is a good sign for a business.

This is the worst breakfast restaurant in the UK!! The latte charges five pounds, but it's actually instant coffee that tastes like dishwashing water. The service attitude is particularly poor, they do not provide tableware and there are many hidden expenses. Something is ' free 'on the menu is deceptive. Bill cannot be provided during checkout

Smartly decorated, friendly and efficient service, GREAT food with an eclectic menu mixing the traditional with modern that is ideal for breakfast, lunch or pre-theatre tea with the kids. I used to live around the corner so have known this place for a long time. It’s locally run by the same team for over 20 years. I just visited for the first time since COVID and found everything as it always had been - tip top at great value! My US cousins love to visit this place every time they come to London and are never disappointed. For the uninitiated, the understated exterior conceals a modern, well decorated venue with a menu selection that combines the best of traditional London cafe fare, with modern options for all tastes and dietary requirements. You can also pick and choose from this broad selection to build your own meal, any time of day. I just finished up two eggs, two sausages, two hash browns and two rashers of bacon, with tea and toast on the side for £13. DELICIOUS and great value when a burger and fries in a pub seems to cost nearly £20 these days..

Decent breakfast at a reasonable price. Great hash browns and tasty bacon. I recommend a visit to this cafe as it supports local businesses and not chain coffee shops.

Classic family owned cafe with a proper breakfast and good variety

My family and I we really love this place. They have the best service and THE BEST HASHBROWNS: They always let us feel welcomed, and they adjust to any extra asks. Kadir and Nuray are really taking care of every customer with dedication and warm-hearted. The portions are really good and you'll have great value for money. Secret tip: They have the one and only Karam chocolate bars from Turkey. Those are delicious!!! I am pretty sure that you can not find them anywhere else in London, maybe the UK as they are only to be found in Turkey. What I also like about this place is that it is really a London original. You can tell that they have a really authentic vibe, perfect for down to earth people like me. They prepare the food incredibly quickly, which makes it easy to have a quick bite before or during work. Perfect for people that work from home, for example. There is a table outside as well if you like to sit in the sun. The view is of the Blythe Road Archive.

Lovely proper cafe a few minutes from Olympia exhibition centre staff friendly and fun food good and plentiful we highly recommend this for breakfast or lunch.

This is a typical English breakfast cafe with very average coffee. If you are looking for a healthy food, this is not your place. They don’t even serve salads. It’s more of a lunch break spot for construction workers. Although the food is prepared fresh and they make sandwiches for you on the spot. If you have to pick a bread go with a big brown bun. Staff is also friendly and accommodating.

Expensive, very low quality and the order was wrong in an empty cafe. Avoid.

Won't be going back to this cafe after the gentleman who took my order decided that how I had requested my jacket potato to be prepared "didn't matter" when it was not presented to me as requested. Also received my drink in a leaky plastic cup whilst the 2 other [non-Black diners] received theirs in a glass container. Such a shame, as previous meals had been enjoyable.

Genuinely the worst breakfast ive ever had, the mushrooms were disgusting, one sausage and it tasted like it was off, the bacon was burnt, only one slice of bread served with a full english, and the prices are extortionate, left their actually feeling sick and had to use the toilet instantly after, what came out of me can only be described as revolting, the guy behind the till is also very rude, please don't come here, waste of money for a terrible breakfast

Your black pudding is cut so thin it's almost transparent and cooked to a crisp. Your price for a full in English is way beyond price of what it should be. I cannot emphasise enough your prices are unrealistically too high. Even in the depths of winter your prices are too high. Going to a cafe for a hot meal is a treat for me, no one should have to remortgage to pay for it. If you wish to be served by the male equivalent of a Karen, Go ahead and spend your hard-earned cash here. Don't expect a smile or any kind of courtesy whatsoever, You will have to pay extra for that

Unpretentious café - does what it says on the tin; perfect!

Really a great stop for a solid English breakfast , our a piping hot coffee. Right around the corner from the Olympia conference center makes this a handy stop. Kind service and big portions . Definitly coming again

I specifically joined TripAdvisor to leave this review. I have never felt more aggrieved. Arrived in London and wanted to have a coffee before moving on. WISHED I HADN’T ORDERED! I was tired and this guy behind the till thinks he is king of London. I have worked with customers and disgusted. Felt I was intruding for god sake. He said we were taking up “too much space”. Really? Couldn’t tell we were tourists? If the coffee wasn’t scalding I would have downed it and moved on. Oh and taking up too much space? The place was EMPTY! I guess the place was only big enough for the owners ego. Based on talk to “locals” it appears the man who was behind the till was called George. Need I say more. I am at an event and will be advising people to go elsewhere. A nice alternative with a lovely atmosphere? A short walk down from Olympia to Various café’s. They’re also a lot cheaper. I have never felt so aggrieved and angered by such shoddy customer service. I read the negative reviews and I am not the slightest bit surprised. Conclusion? Avoid avoid avoid.

Petty little owner/customer service. They refused to give tap water to a toddler in order to make the mother buy bottled. Said they ‘weren’t required by law’ to serve tap water. Appalling.

Incredibly rude Cafe owner. He was disrespectful, refused to take a card because we didn't have enough cash, and then just unilaterally decided to cancel a part of our order. Also made comments about how we were visiting London in spite of the pandemic, completely uncalled for

We ordered breakfast one morning to our hotel from here. Loved it. Very good food British breakfast and a lot of it. We asked for some sauce and they were so kind to give some in a little tub for free since we couldn't add it in the app. Lovely place! Very good food for a good price.

Around the corner from Olympia exhibition centre is Georges cafe , which was handy . The place was clean and the full English breakfast was beautifully cooked . Portion size was good . Service was prompt and friendly . The menu was extensive . Would recommend and would certainly use again .

Shocking. Had a few things here. Mayonnasie is cheap and the colour & texture of white paint. Sausages near inedible. Burgers you wouldn't feed to your dog. This is proper rock bottom food, the cheapest of the cheap. They have gone to lenghts to only source the cheapest low meat content ingredients.

The most expensive disappointing food ever! £7/8 for a sandwich and tea? The sausages are grim. Literally the most dissatisfied experience ever. Honestly go else where, Pret is cheaper than this! The bloke was even talking about putting his prices up!

Ordered a large bap with bacon, sausage and egg. Bottle of Oasis drink. Cost just under £8. The bap wasn’t so large, the egg was over cooked and the portion was a bare minimum. Wouldn’t recommend.

Basic cafe behind Olympia. Relatively cheap meals. Both had large baps with egg,bacon & sausage but disappointing contents. 2 bits of bacon,egg and very poor sausage. Not worth the money.

A small and neat Cafe near Olympia. George is one of a kind. A lovely innkeeper always ready for a witty conversation. Paired with typical British breakfast a total recommendation for hungry tourists!

English Breakfast all'ennesima potenza. Localino senza pretese, frequentato anche da operai e "locali". Il menu esposto è dettagliatissimo e consente di creare una colazione su misura. Se siete pigri, scegliete il Set 1, la classica english breakfast e non rimarrete delusi. E da bere in abbinamento? Un cappuccino, così vi sentirete dei veri inglesi!
