Giddy Up Coffee is a hidden gem in the heart of Barbican. It's tucked away in a quaint park which often fills up with mums and their strollers in the morning. The coffee is decent and is one of the better ones you'll find in the area. It's a tad exxy but well worth it if it means avoiding Pret or the free Waitrose coffee you'd otherwise queue for. The lads that work here are friendly and are genuinely passionate about their coffee so you know it's going to be a decent drop. They have a small selection of home baked goods which is always tempting (Nutella and banana muffin anyone?). Oh, it's more of a kiosk so you won't find indoor seating so I'd recommend swinging by mid morning or after lunch to soak up the elusive London sunshine.

Very good fayre, breakfasts were cooked in a timely manner and piping hot throughout, served with substantial bread lovingly toasted and lashings of butter. Lots of menu options throughout the day. Charming and cosy-with a personal touch. Will come again for elevenses!

We had a lovely lunch there! The chit chat platter and naan platter were great with gobi Manchurian chana masala. The attention from the waiting staff member was also lovely.

Here we don't just try to imitate fancy dishes. It really tastes like something here too. The best breakfast of my entire stay. Absolutely recommended! Special requests are no problem at all. Gluten-free is also available on the menu. Oat milk in a cappuccino? No problem.
