From one pizzaiolo to another you guys nailed it! Light and tasty AF… service was as slick as the head waiters vibes and the feel was just like being in Italy! Perfect Italian experience in the heart of Oxford, great menu great service and banging food! Cannot recommend more highly … definitely coming back 🫶🏻🍕

Strong contender for best restaurant in Oxford, certainly the best and cheapest Italian in the area. Service was extremely fast and friendly and the food was delicious. No complaints all round :)

The pizza was decent, staff very helpful and friendly, but the non alcoholic drink options were very limited unfortunately. Overall pleasant visit.

I had the most wonderful experience here in Gino’s with my family. The waiters were all exceedingly helpful and polite. I have never tasted such flavoursome and fresh food, and the price range was exceptional compared to other large branded restaurants. My family and I all agreed that anytime we would be in Oxford again this would be the place to go, and if I was ever to recommend somewhere to eat in Oxford it would be here.

Was not a huge fan, food was very average. Thoughts of the whole group were the same. Would say the garlic bread was tasty though. Service was okay, I feel the waiting staff could benefit from being in a branded uniform rather than t shirt and jeans. Just looked a bit unprofessional. Don't like providing negative feedback

One main course was forgotten and arrived 10 minutes after the others. There was fragments of shell and grit in the lobster ravioli dish. Disappointing given the price of £40pp excluding drinks

A lovely family-run Italian restaurant. We love coming here and it’s so rare to find places like this these days. A true authentic Italian restaurant with delicious risotto, pasta, pizza and daily specials. Always a friendly and welcoming atmosphere here. A hidden gem in Oxford. We will never stop returning!

We decided to try the chef’s special pizza and the carbonara pasta, but unfortunately, both turned out to be poor choices. The pizza was easily one of the worst we’ve had in Oxford—truly disappointing. While the carbonara pasta was decent, it was a bit too oily for our taste. Despite this, we might return to give another pasta dish a chance.

It was one of the best lasagnas I've ever eaten 🤤 The employees were very attentive and friendly. A place I will visit again if I come again.

Small Italian restaurant with freshly made pizzas, spaghetti, Ravioli, lasagna... just too many to mention. We were the only Belgians there and were served by great staff who gave us the time to read everything carefully and decide. We ate tagliatelle bolognese, my son lasagna and the daughter a pizza. Price-quality super and really tasty. Highly recommended!!!!

I gave 3 stars because the quality is very good. But we had to order more, because we were hungry. My 10 and 12 year old children ate a canzone each and ordered ravioli because they didn't have much filling. For the price they could put more food on the plate. I think they don't care because it's a tourist place...

Lovely restaurant. Food was absolutely amazing. The servers were all very nice and responsive. A very lovely local place with great atmosphere. Their lunch set is a great deal that covers almost all of the menu and their coffee was equally amazing.

We have been customers of Gino's for many years and have enjoyed many meals and family occasions at their Gloucester Green restaurant. On this occasion we were celebrating my wife's Birthday The food is always well prepared and tasty in this family run Italian eatery.

A great restaurant, delicious food and the service is great. Would recommend booking in advance, we walked in and managed to get a table which was reserved an hour later, which was enough time for us to eat.

This great little restaurant reminds me of a typical Italian restaurant in a typical Italian village the staff, atmosphere and the food it is just brilliant. The food was brilliant none of us left a crumb even though we were all full.

Supposedly the best pizzeria in Oxford. I have no idea, I'm really used to better things. And here you count 12-15 pounds for a pizza and it doesn't taste good. Dear tourists, eat at home. Maybe good food for locals, but not for me.

Great food and service. All of us were vegetarians and had great options. They added tomato base to our veggie pizza and the Spanish and ricotta ravioli was amazing! Especially the sauce. Will visit again!

A bustling Italian that does wonderful pizza... Crispy, chewy, thin but not measured in microns, not too much topping, and reasonably priced. The house wine is also perfectly drinkable!

I was there with my wife for dinner this evening. As a chef, I wanted to write a review. The welcome was very friendly and the floor staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was very simple and nice. The Italian map detail on the ceiling was beautiful We chose house red wine as drink. It wasn't a full-bodied wine, but it was well above my expectations. I ordered another glass. As a starter, we chose an appetizer prepared with roasted eggplant. It went perfectly with the olive oil on the table! This olive oil was truly excellent and you will feel like you are in Italy! We wanted to buy it for our home too. We chose lasagna and penne for the main course. Lasagna was the best I've had recently (the fat content of the minced meat was really excellent) penne👍🏻 Andante 👌🏽 We chose affagato for dessert, it is a perfect balancer and especially the double espresso in affagato was incredible! I understand that you choose your coffee beans well 👏🏼 In a restaurant, especially an Italian restaurant, the quality of your ingredients is very important. I think all the ingredients used in these dishes tonight were chosen of really high quality. and I would especially like to thank the chef and the kitchen team. I will come back

All up Ginos is a very good italian restaurant. Really enjoyed my meal, had vegetarian options to choose from. Service was very good and they accommodated me without a booking. Filled up quickly it seemed a very popular place to eat with locals and tourists alike.

Very nice food overall had every at your hands salt vinegar and olive oil as well.

We stopped in with a large crew, and they were friendly and accommodating. We didn't see any other kiddos dining, but our little was welcomed with smiles. Thank you, Europe, for lovin' the kids. They readily accommodated her creamy tomato sauce spaghetti request (wasn't on the menu). I wasn't super impressed with the pastas or pizzas, but the salads damn near broke my mauf. Fresh and simple, and quite honestly BANGIN'. Italians make the best salads. Don't you ever forget it. I enjoyed a slice of tiramisu for dessert and let me tell you, someone stole grandma's recipe. It was packed with espresso, cocoa, creamy whipped cream, just all things EPIC to put it simply. I'd recommend dropping in for vino, the salads, and tiramisu or the chocolate cake, which my husband enjoyed.

What a 5-star experience we had! We wanted to surprise our Mum on her birthday with real Italian food, not from a chain, but I had no idea it would be this amazing. The food, the service, the attention to detail - not to mention a surprise candle on her dessert - Gino's crosses the Ts and dots the Is. Lovely place, can only recommend 👌

As far as Italian goes, the food was pretty middling and uninspired, and the service while quite uneven was friendly and genuine. We tried both pizzas and pastas here and they were completely forgettable, but the salads were fresh and delicious, and the meal was redeemed somewhat by one of the desserts, particularly the chocolate cake. Compared to the Italian places we have tried in west London, it wasn't even in the same universe but if you need a place to pop in and have a quick bite with friends, I think you could do worse.

We had such a nice meal at Gino's. We booked a table for 2 on a Friday night and even though it was packed out the service didn't feel like a busy restaurant. Meals were brought out promptly and hot and at no point did we feel like we were just waiting! Staff were lovely and the food was amazing! Recommend the Lasagna and Tagliatelle Bolognese! The price is also really reasonable, even more so when you consider the quality of the meal! We had 3 courses and drinks for around £35 per person. Faultless meal, we really enjoyed it!

Booked a table to take my cousin. As we're from Essex and just visiting we thought we would try Ginos. Whilst eating our food, which was very nice, our conversation was continuously interrupted by moving of tables, waiters shouting over our table, and chairs being lifted over us to accommodate guests coming in. When our bill arrived, we paid and left. When we got back to Essex I noticed we had been charged for cheese on garlic bread, which I agree is minimal, and service charge of 10% which is optional. They don't point this out. I wrote an email to give Ginos the option to respond. I haven't received an answer over a month later. I shall not be returning.

A family Italian restaurant which offers exceptional service. Pasta is perhaps more on the average side (by which I mean unimpressive), but I highly recommend the prosciutto and melon.

Very good Family run restaurant. We enjoyed our meal here while coming from LD to visit. The pasta and pizza is good and exceptional service. We complimented the sundried tomatoes and they give us an extra plate!! 💖 That was a plus for the service!

It is a lovely resturant in Oxford not far from the station. Love Spagetti Annamaria. The staff is really friendly.

Weird. Starters were excellent - calamari crisp and tasty, capresi good too. Wine excelleny. However, my wife's pizza was delivered without toppings...when challenged they took it back and remade it...but then was rather wet and lacking taste. My calzone was not taken back, so I was left eating whilst she waited...and it was pretty tasteless too. Waiter was good. Waitress was awful. End of meal we both felt rushed and ended up leaving rather disappointed.

I can see why this place is popular, but it doesn't rate the full five 5 stars IMHO. For example, my pizza was fine, but with rather a wide crust; the house wine was OK, but overpriced at £22. The White Rabbit, nearby, has more intersting pizzas and the beer (at around £5 a pint) is much better value than Gino's wine (at around £4 a glass if you buy a whole bottle). Update, 17 Feb. 2024: I went again last night. Another good experience, but the wine -- this time the Chianti -- again seemed very overpriced: £30 for a very mediocre bottle.

One of the best Italian food I’ve had in Oxford yet, the service, the vibe and ambiance and the staff everything is excellent. The place is small and cozy with very humble staff serving amazing food. If you are looking for vegetarian options go for it, you will have multiple options to choose from and I bet all of them would be amazing. Bonus is- you can ask as much cheese you want on your pasta and it’s free. All in all great place, would visit again soon.

Firstly. Food and restaurant aesthetics were amazing, but the way our waiter made us feel was shocking, me and my friend were having a conversation and joke between ourselves and when our waiter came over to us, he said he would get us kicked out if we carried on. After ordering our food me and my friend were looking around the restaurant as it was a very cute and nice restaurant and our wait came over to us and said “You’re garlic bread is coming” in a very embarrassing and belittling way over other tables, and then made remarks about where we were from. We were just made to feel so embarrassed to be there and wanted to eat the food and leave.

Looked like a lovely authentic Italian but me and my partner both got the carbonara and the sauce was white so they can’t have used egg yolks, tasted just like a sauce from a supermarket jar and nothing like an authentic carbonara, we were really disappointed.

We went there one evening for a quick meal before going to the theater and they seated, fed us and we were out in half an hour. So we returned today for a late lunch and take our time and enjoy the food. We had the Garlic pizza bread with cheese and Calamari fritti for starters which was fresh and very tasty. Then we followed up by Tagliatelle gamblers & pesto and I had Napoletana pizza. I asked for them to add some prawns to my pizza which they did. This wasn't a problem for them and the put loads of prawns on, at no extra cost. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We can't wait to return. Many thanks for a lovely meal.

Have been wanting to go for a while and it did not disappoint! We got the lunch sets for under £15 and you can choose for it to come with the house white wine which is very refreshing and pairs well with the pasta :) Lasagna was a bit singed but it tasted AMAZING! We also got the tagliatelle della casa which was yummy too! Service was just a bit rushed/food took a while to come out when we were there, perhaps as it was busy lunch hour.

Great food and service. We were a group of 5 arriving with no booking at 2045. We felt part of the family. Well worth visiting. A rather hidden gem.

Cozy, rustic feel with all-wood decor. It's a bit hidden and out of the way, so not too busy even during peak times. I thoroughly enjoyed the aubergine parmigiana I had for my starter and it was easily my favorite dish, although a tad oily. The spinach ravioli for my main was also good, although I couldn't really taste the filling at all due to all the sauce (which was quite tasty in its own right, so the ravioli wasn't a bad dish - this is just something to keep in mind). The lemon curd dessert was unfortunately not enjoyable for me at all. The crust was too thick and there was far too much powdered sugar on top. Service was good, though - fast and friendly, although I had trouble getting a water refill. Overall, I'd say this place is fine for a quick lunch if you bring your own water bottle.

Eggplant parm, baked penne, grilled veggies, all tasty, al dente, and brought to the table hot. Standard southern Italian menu, a cozy, no frills restaurant with attentive svc. All was enjoyable and efficient.

Little gem of a place tucked round the corner. I had a great pizza and daughter demolished almost the entire bowl of parmesan on her carbonara to the bemusement of the staff! Decent portions and really well priced. Would happily go back again.

Had a lovely lunch at Gino's on our visit to Oxford. Sat outside in the sun, my wife had a pizza and I had pasta followed by a delicious home made tiramisu. Authentic Italian restaurant run by an Italian family, I would definitely go there again if I was to visit Oxford.
