Whatever you do - take sandwiches, eat your partner’s ear , starve but do not eat here .I am sure dog food tastes better than the ‘meat feast’ I was served as it was utterly foul.I was really hungry as was an early flight ,slept a little late , no breakfast so ordered here but could not eat more than 2 mouthfuls- utterly shocking!

Just had a yummy bowl of naked burrito and it was just right! Very clean and tidy, rapid food and pleasant staff. Would visit again. The bowls are just right for good lunch before flight. 2x lunches and two drinks for £24 very good value at airport.

Very expensive very small portions menu items not available AFTER paying and then a major Faff to get your money back. Food then delivered 30 minutes later (only a burger by the way) and it was stone cold. Manager either had serious trouble understanding me or was being deliberately difficult. Hard to tell which. Seriously disappointed with my worst ever giraffe experience. Avoid.

Had a drink and a snack at the you are having a Giraffe cafe at Southend airport before our flight. A reasonable selection of snacks at airport prices but the most off putting thing was seeing bacon and sausage baps waiting to be re-heated for consumption, most off putting. However the café was relaxed at the time(mid-morning) and there was no pressure to move you on.

After many years of amateur, incompetent and unfortunate landlords, crushed by a greedy and unbending national pub chain, this failed village pub has finally closed down. It's now shuttered-up, awaiting redevelopment.

84High stDidn't have food, hence no rating. Haven't been to Rayleigh for some time, but had the pleasure of spending just over an hour today there at lunch time. What a proper pub. All ages represented and a warm welcome from the excellent bar staff. Friendly atmosphere and enjoyed our Guinness and Bacardi / diet cokes sat where the 2 bar areas meet. Wish we lived nearer and best wishes. Cliff & Lauraine.

Churchend, Rochford, EssexLast night was my second visit to The Punch Bowl and on both occasions the meal, service and atmosphere have been bloody amazing. The drive out to the pub itself takes you through some of the more rural parts of Essex. It’s remote enough to make you wonder whether you’ll actually ever arrive but close enough to surrounding towns to make it well worth the visit (just 25 minutes from where we are in Leigh). You’re greeted by the friendliest staff you could hope to meet and are immediately made to feel at home before being taken to your table and looked after the entire time. If cosy, traditional country pub is your vibe you can’t get much better and after a couple of hours sat down with friends, eating amazing food and drinking great wine it’s incredibly hard to leave. It’s worth mentioning that The Punch Bowl do NOT automatically add a service charge to their bills and they also only accept tips in cash so take some with you because you’ll be kicking yourself if you leave without rewarding the service. The waiting staff are out of this world 😊

93 Southend RoadWe booked for Boxing Day and everything was all ready and waiting on arrival and was advised there had been a slight accident with a pudding but we were offered alternatives and this was sorted straight away. The staff were all very polite and helpful and all the food was brought out on time and no complaints. We do this every year with our family at the Anne Boylen and we are never disappointed
