Great food, big portions and friendly staff, we go regularly and have never had a bad experience. Highly recommended!

A friend and I had fish chips and mushy peas's here a few weeks ago. The food was well cooked and really nice. Can't fault it. Recommeded if you pass along the Newport and you can park opposite to eat your food. Coming from Stafford it's on the left towards the end of the village. Paul

Really rude older lady behind the counter. Extremely sarcastic about my order and made me feel really uncomfortable in the shop in front of other customers. I walked away feeling I was being talked about after I left. I’ve since read the reviews about the maggots and will no longer eat there. Wish I had known before.

This used to be a great chippy, one of the best. Now positively one of the worst. Last three times have been awful. The last time was particularly inedible hence this review.

My wife and I had had a really busy day and hadn't found the time to cook or eat all day, so we called here for food at 7pm, I had fish and chips and my wife had pie and chips. The chips didn't taste quite right. Two hours later the awful stomach cramps started and 24 hours later we've still got them. Used to be a great chippy, won't go ever again.

Picked up fish and chips for a group of 6 after playing golf. We were all hungry so the huge portions did not disappoint. Fish and chips were both delicious. Would go again if I was in the area.

First time ive been here in over 10 years, not sure whats so different than any other chippy but these chips tasted so supreme to any other chippy chip! Will be coming back for sure

Decided to try this chippy again after a disappointing last visit, and wish we hadn't bothered! Cold, badly cooked chips and very runny tasteless curry sauce. The gentleman behind the counter looked very unkempt and was in need of a good shave. Will not be using it again.

Portion size is massive . We couldn't eat the large size . Approx £13 for 2 . The batter is light and tasty. Chips are the best ever. Very friendly staff . Big queue on friday teatime

Gnosall Fish Bar is a great chippy, Fish is always good with crispy batter; good service and they're always happy to help. My wife life a Kebab, but cannot have the white cabbage...which is NEVER an issue here...great customer service.

Lovely fresh food, good portions, great service. We came in for 5 meals, had a few requests ie small portion for a child, split portion of chips to share and the lady serving was very accomodating. Made a delicious meal for all the family.

We are staying down the road at Haughton, called in on Friday tea time. They were lovely fish and chips, the portions were large. The fish was very tasty and fresh. We also had a “Yorkshire “ fish cake, it was lovely and the fish inside was a lot better than most in Yorkshire

A good Fish and Chips shop serving a wide range of take away foods. Open lunchtime 12:00 till 14:00hrs and generally from 17:00 until 22:00hrs

Super service, great food, good fun....and a friendly warm reception on each and every occasion plenty of parking at the rear.

Group order 20+ phoned in order. Fantastic Communication everything was individually priced making it easy to sort out. Piping hot and very good portions and very good tasty food. Everyone in our group was very satisfied and happy with their meals. Very impressed and we shall be using the fish and chip shop again when our group visits the area again

What can I say really as most chip shops are similar - never had an issue here and fish fresh and good sized - had better chips though

We went on a canal trip from Norbury wharf a 3 hour trip on the Shropshire star. Beautiful scenery .when passing through gnosall someone from gnosall chippy was waiting with fish n chips for the 42 people on board. They were some of the best fish n chips we have tasted . And they were steaming hot.I would recomend gnosall chip shop for anyone passing through whether by canal boat or car .

I've been in a few times and can't fault it. The food is consistently good and it does what it needs to do which is to fill your belly for not a lot of cash. The staff are very friendly and good fun. What more do you want from a chippy?

Our son bought us a day on Norbury canal, included in this were fish and chips that were picked up along the way brought to barge and eaten on board. They were yummy. Enjoyed by all and although transported to barge from shop were red hot. Everybody enjoyed them. The shop is on the main Newport to Stafford road. Will stop next time we pass.

Arrived Moreton late after horrendous journey. Hungry so called into Gnosall fish bar. Very busy but staff efficient and friendly. Lovely fish and chips.

Had take away numerous times and the quality has been consistent. Cooked well and not too greasy. Careful about the portion size though; only go for the large chip portion if you have a small country to feed.

Wanted two fish and had to wait for one to be cooked. At home my wife had to dump the one that had been cooked for some time, it was dry as a bone. The freshly cooked one was good.

Potions are a good size here, but the quality is inconsistent and average at best. The chips are often undercooked/soggy and the fish is usually overcooked!I think it benefits from lack of competition in the village and thus becomes a bit complacent.

The owner and his staff are delightful. The fish and chips are excellent, especially the mini fish and chips - standard size fish are enormous!

The Staff need to be more presentable and food needs cooking properly had a fish which wasn't cooked thoroughly

The best chip shop in Gnosall, it is actually the only chip shop but it would be tough to beat. The fish and chips are always cooked well and the staff are always friendly. Very much recommended.

Gnosall Fish bar has the most delicious mixed kebabs around! We have tried other places locally and they just do not compare. Delicious meat and lovely chips. What more could you ask for?

Arriving in Gnosall after a long drive on Christmas eve to find the pub food service ended we went to the chippy and thoroughly enjoyed a decent serving of fish, chips and mushy peas. There was a queue but they worked through it fast and with a smile

Lovely chips cooked perfect. Good service and very good portion sizes. Looked clean and faultless really. Well worth popping in if passing for some grub.
