Disappointed use to be a good cafe was passing thought I pop in been awhile Disgusting 🤮 bacon sandwich worst I’ve ever had bacon was all ready cooked than put on the grill to be cooked again over done and not fresh only 2 slices of bacon it went straight in the bin avoid 👎👎👎👎👎

Lovely café in Egham. I had one of the set breakfast and it was delicious. Staff r friendly too.

The food is fresh and very good. I normally create my own omelette, and it comes hot, tasty, and non greasy. The service is great here, very friendly staff and owners. Cafe is clean and we visit often.

The staff was not very friendly and didn’t respond to customers politely. The food was terrible—I had a lamb shish wrap that was half-cooked and tasted bad. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

As an American traveling to England for the first time, this place was amazing to get a nice classic English breakfast. Easy to order and nice staff. Prices aren’t crazy. Loved the waffle dessert!

Disgusting place, the staff is rude and aggressive. Made me payed more that was listed for a veggie sandwich with no veggies sausage but a mash with pease carrots and sweetcorn, when I asked to see the allergens , I got asked to leave. Quick reminder that this is against heath and safety law to refuse to show the allergens and also against the law to threaten to assault customers! I am reporting this person to the council today.

I’m answering to your rude comment on my review (jeangollo). I am attaching the picture of your impolite and obnoxious comment for people to see what an horrible place you are running. I am not acting like a “health and safety agent” and I don’t appreciate being insulted in your cafe of online because you have no much vocabulary to express yourself and that you aren’t aware of the legislation (the council will remind you with a proper health and safety agent, let’s see how that goes) But here are some legal clarifications from a health and safety trained professional: There is 14 allergens and Food businesses need to tell customers if any food they provide contain any of the listed allergens as an ingredient. Specifically if they ask you to see the allergens listed for a payed order after you refuse to list orally the allergens. Consumers may be allergic or have intolerance to other ingredients, but only the 14 allergens are required to be declared as allergens by food law. Refusing me to look at the allergens, I have left my order that I had payed for! This is a scam and your attitude is unlawful in so many points. You’ll hear from the authorities and I have your comment to prove how rude you were. Good like for explaining your aggressive behaviour and stealing from honest customers while putting them at risks of violent allergy. Good like with your health and safety agent.

Other than the food being the only decent thing in the cafe, the staff are the biggest let down of it all. If you are working in a customer based environment where you are working front of house, you should really have a “nicer” attitude towards customers. This is the only local cafe that genuinely like the food in, it’s just a shame the staff members let it down :-(

very friendly staff that create a quite pleasant ambiance

This place only accepted cash when I visited, which is fine by me 'cus I'm not broke. Sitting in here gave me the vibes of a diner in a gangster flick, which was cool for a bit until my natural deranged paranoia set in and I was worried the mob was gonna' whack me at any given second.

Great little place, but if they are uncomfortable with dogs, be easier just to put a sign up on the door, not be a complete prick about it… Owner looked like dictator 🤦‍♀️

The food is pretty good staff are friendly and helpful the place is clean the portions are very good. It is just a shame the tables and sign boards spill over to the pavement. I have seen women’s with kids and prays struggle to get past. For that reason alone I left 3 stars.

Great food ,short waiting time and quality service

First visit here today with my partner, father in law, and son... Was very impressed. A great selection of food, very generous portion sizes, lovely salads and tasty kebabs. Couldn't fault the place and will definitely return to try more. One of the better cafe style kebab restaurants. Staff are very friendly too. Highly recommended.

Great jacket potatoes, good portions for hungry cyclists. Would have like an egg mayo sandwich or a fafal wrap but waitress didn't understand but hopefully she will get to grips with the menu. Generally a good experience and seemed popular with locals which is always good.

A great little Cafè popped in and grabbed a full English the other day and then ordered one via deliveroo for a colleague a few days later.

Came to take our son Scott for brunch he is at Royal Holloway and he recommended this family owed diner. Staff were very attentive, big smiles and the full English with bubble and squeak absolutly fantastic and very well priced. Great cafe and we will be back!

Took the Mrs for brekkie on Sunday . Once sitting down and comfy I couldn't get over what a lovely clean cafe . All the staff had uniform shirts and was made welcome with menu . I had brekkie and she had small brekkie . Tea and coffe came with good toast and brekkie came shortly after . Food was delicious and not greasy at all . Cooked to order . Highly recommend a visit . 10/10

This is one of the best all-day breakfast cafes I have ever visited. The service was very fast, the cafe was clean, bright and presentable, Staff were all friendly and attentive, the menu variety was broad, pricing was fair and food was tasty and well-cooked. There were plenty of staff working when I visited and I felt the team working here were busy but not overworked, which is the right balance. Other breakfast cafes should take note of how Golden Cafe runs.

It was the best breakfast I've ever had in my life, while drinking coffee, I felt like I had taken a sweet stroll in the amazon forests. It was absolutely magnificent. The service was very professional and they are 200% successful in hygiene. Those who don't try lose a lot. The staff is friendly and warm-blooded. The decor of the place takes you on a little time travel, it is a very nostalgic place. It's amazing, I'm mesmerized.

Cheap ingredients , over priced food , you will need a minimum of £10 per person to get properly fed , avoid , you will not leave there feeling un satisfied, and the fact they only want cash says some tax issues , avoid !!!!

I have eaten breakfast at the Golden Cafe twice recently. Each time food has arrived quickly and was well cooked and presented. In addition to the set breakfast options, I like the way the customer can make up their own with a number of items - and the breakfast also includes a hot drink and toast or fried bread, so is very good value. Coffee is pretty decent too
