Golden Fishbar in Dartford

Ordered 2 chicken breast and chips. Was like warm if that and Also gave me a drumstick and breast meat rang then said only 1 breast I said then should have cancelled order as I said on order make sure my request is done. So very rude and shouting at me over phone 2 grown men abusing me disgusting behaviour I asked for some sort of refund told to contact uber I said they did not provide food you did so your error more abuse my way

Best Fish & Chip shop in stone.

£6.50 for a stale pie that they reheated in the microwave. Uneatable. Chips undercooked. Not nice.

I have lived in Dartford all my life. I have eaten recently from: Captains fish bar, Sutton at Home, The Chippy Hawley Road, Sole Plaice, The chippy Mead Road, J Coxedge, Swanscombe fish bar, John's Perry Street, Summerhouse Drive Chippy, Chastiliain road, Time and Plaice, Golden Fish Bar is better than them all. Massive servings, Haddock is Superb, they are consistent and well priced, everything cooked to order. Chippy's in this area seem to be declining in quality and portion size, that's why I make the 2 mile drive to Golden Fish Bar.

If you want the best fish and chips, then this is my most recommended chippy in the whole area. The staff are very friendly. The food is always hot and tasty. The chips are exactly how I like them and the cod is pure white, just like it is fresh from the sea side. Amazing 👏

They give a GREAT size portion of chips for Medium at £3. The man serving me was friendly

I've gone to the place regularly for the past 6 years and its never failed. Prices are veryy good as the portions are enormous and very appreciated. The workers serve with a smile and are friendly. Very happy everytime I go. Love that they upgraded a little with the screen on the front!

Best fish and chips takeaway in Dartford. I like the fact they cook it fresh and it's not been left sitting cooked for ages. I didn't realise because I am a pensioner I was due a discount. The kind man serving told me. The men running the shop are very pleasant. You don't wait long for it to be cooked fresh which I prefer. I hope they keep on doing it this way. I have absolutely no complaints.

- Overcooked fish which was chewy - Saveloy was the same but with added bonus of being watery and flavourless - Chips were fine

Just ate here moments ago. I had picked up a rather large package and was faced with the task of a half hour walk back home. I was very hungry. I got a small cod n chips. A steal at £6. Now I'm a connoisseur of the fish n chip a perfectionist! Now this my friends was quite simply the best fish n chips probably ever. Fresh and cooked too perfection. I was so hungry and tired. The gentleman allowed me to eat in. Thank you sir! Sat at bus stop on the London rd writing this review reminiscing. I got 10 minutes to go. What a day. Sadly my friend doesn't seem to ever be there anymore. He used to give me some almighty portions. With that being said I'm going to a star of this review! Come back my friend all will be forgiven. The prices have gone up. But the quality is still the same.

Have been going here for years chicken chips lovely cod chips could do with more chips had chicken kebab what a let down used to be loads of salad put prices up cut back on salad be definitely going somewhere else. For they prices you expect more

£9,90 for large cod with chips (normal price and portion - maybe even on the higher side considering there is no seating and location) - normal taste also. Probably didn’t help walking back to place 15 min by that time chips and batter were soft even though the fish was freshly cooked …

Food is nice, but the owner of the shop is very rude men, today I saw he was being angry to a staff because he was friendly to a customer.. I think the owner have to learn from his staff or get training from them about customer service.. fish and chicken taste good, but that doesn't mean everyone will come to buy food.. the owner should learn atleast some decency and service.......

Rather poor, maybe because it was 21.30 on a Wednesday? Nether the less I ordered 2 pieces of chicken and asked for "No legs" which was ignored. Also no napkins or freshen up wipes. Chips were old, and poor quality. I ate outside, where there was no rubbish bin. Overall, I won't be returning fir sure!

Been using this shop regularly for last 2-3 years but today was and is my last time there not only has the prices gone up a while ago at the same time the portions got smaller and smaller, today orders large cod and chips got about 20 chips and the smallest cod you can think of, gave them the benefit of the doubt over the past few weeks but the portions remained rather small. Will NEVER use them again. Should look after their loyal customers,

Nice but crikey, the prices have gone up! Cod & chips twice, 17 quid. What happened to the good old staple diet?? 17 quid, I ask you!

First time trying and never again vile! I called them to say that there is something wrong with the meat I took one bite and heaved I advised them to throw it out!

Bought via Uber eats but wow the portions are incredible and the meat options like chicken burger and the wings are nice and big and juicy. Highly recommend it.

The fish and chips from the Golden Fish Bar are of excellent quality, but I had a strange experience there last Friday. I was the fourth person into the shop and was unable to see where I should queue or how many people were allowed in at once. I went and stood as far away from the other three as possible. A fifth person entered, he was served before me, strange in itself. Then four children entered the shop, none wearing masks, when they were also served before me, I left and bought Chinese next door. Come on guys, what's up! Nine people in the shop was obviously far too many! Why are there no proper signs? Why was nothing said? People die from this virus and I can't patronize an establishment that treats the current pandemic so lightly. Disappointing at best, dangerous at worst.

The owner is clueless about good customer service. Very rude fella! I was placing an order and he kept shouting his head off, had to leave without the food. Learn to respect your customers or close down. You ain't doing us any favours, you get paid for what you sell.

Rude, rude ,rudest ever! That was my local until today. Never again! It’s not the first time that I go there, and the owner is yelling at the employees. His behaviour it is despicable. I went to buy a couple of drinks, and I wanted to pay by card. A polite “minimum of 5 pounds needs to be spent “ would be fine. He started making fussy movements and speaking really loud to me. You have lost 2 regulars .

Food tastes loverly good value for money I would recommend this to anyone two chicking Currys 2 egg fried rice free prawn crackers 2 x fortune cookies all for £14.60 if you went to mead road Dartford it will cost you £19 without prawn crackers and fortune cookies

I have brought fish & chips and some sausages here as that's what we enjoy mostly. The fish & chips have always been cooked beautifully and sausages too. Very friendly staff and good value for money. We have been buying from here for a few years now and would recommend the Golden Fishbar.

Absolutely discussing dry chicken clearly has sat there for hours , kebab was full of gristle nasty and cheap meat and chips were under cooked clearly this chip shop has no pride and no desire to serve quality food wish I could give minus stars this shop needs to be inspected asap

Fantastic fish and chips as always best chips in town

Ordered a veggie burger for last night's dinner, opened it up and took a bite before realising it was actually a fish burger. Being a vegetarian for 10 years, this has not only disgusted me, upset me and angered me but also made me physically sick to the point of throwing up. After ringing up and complaining all I got was an apology and the offer of free food (yeah like I want to come back).. If you're a vegetarian... Do not eat here, they clearly don't practice quality control or actually give a damn about your beliefs/ dietary preference.
