Golden Kitchen in Weymouth and Portland

Use to go here 15 years ago and the staff was so rude and the food went downhill. Now under new management, lovely clean open kitchen and food was amazing. Will be back for sure. Food was hottest I ever got a Chinese home, sign of a good chef. Highly recommended

Food was excellent: had a lovely roast pork dish and mushroom curry. Delivery arrived on time. Can't fault it, will definitely order from here again.

We thought that we would have a Chinese takeaway last night, Thursday 4th of August, and chose Golden Kitchen on Abbotsbury Road. It is under new management now so we didn't know what to expect, from using it previously under the old management. So, we had some reservations, but we continued to place our order. How delighted we wee with our meal. We had NO need to worry because the meal was delicious. Not ONLY was it delicious but it was the BEST Chinese that we have EVER had. The King Prawns were the freshest that we have EVER tasted the Pancake Roll was perfect in fact EVERTHING that we ordered WAS perfect. What we had was: King Prawn Curry, King Prawn Chow Mein, Egg fried Rice, A Pancake Roll, A Portion of Chips and a Bag of Prawn Crackers (Free) The delivery was free as well. I STRONGLY recommend that if you fancy a Chinese Takeaway that you use The Golden Kitchen on Abbotsbury Road here at Weymouth Dorset. You will NOT be disappointed I assure you. Alan

Food was good and priced reasonably. I particularly liked my shredded chilli beef and everyone else enjoyed their food too. Cash only when we went so better take some if you go. Lady who served us was really nice and we would definitely go back again!

Fantastic food . Friendly staff . Very reasonably priced and out off town so no hassle parking . Definitely recommend The Golden Kitchen .

It was our final night away on holiday and me and the family all love our Chinese takeaways so we decided to leave the best until the last night, as we drove around during the day we spotted the golden kitchen not too far from where we were staying either, ordered our food for 6pm and it was ready the moment we pulled up. The lady was lovely who greeted me and had a great sense of humour, very bubbly and chatty, made me feel very welcome. The place was clean and tidy, easy to park, and covid measures are in place very well. The food on a scale of 1-10 would be a solid 10 from us, finished the whole lot! we even got fortune cookies! I can't remember the last time I received one from a Chinese take away and that added an extra little smile to us all. Thank you for a great experience and amazing food!

We have paid several visits to Weymouth before and based on our last meal we had from The Golden Kitchen we had no hesitation in going there again but sadly there will be no future purchases . My wife ordered a chicken curry , this was very much squared shaped and definitely processed as well extremely bland . My chicken Szechuan was requested as extra hot , having had this dish many times before I know good one from a poor one , sadly this was very the latter , certainly no tomato while not being exactly spicy. The chicken balls and egg fried rice were the only saving graces and to really ensure we will never return they gave us stale prawn crackers !

A special visit and a little further down the road from where I live...but well worth the visit... Jenny was a happy conversationalist while Benson (her patner cooks the food in front of you...I had a king prawn curry and egg fried rice...bloody lovely...cheers guys.

My partner and I never eat takeaway so were looking forward to this treat after a couple of early evening tipples in the sun. Mine was awful. Chicken and mushrooms and vegetables chop suey. Really great chunky veg and chicken was cooked perfectly.....however it was all overwhelmingly ruined by the taste of 'old oil' that needed changing which left an awful bitter taste in my throat and unable to eat it. My partner had chicken and mushroom omelette and chips. Omelette was very nice but chips had been cooked far too many times :(

Had my favourite special fried rice and my son had chow mein. Husband had chicken balls and sweet and sour sauce. However the special fried rice was unbelievably salty and unpalatable and I couldn't eat it. Usually lovely and delicious but this time very disappointing.

we swung by here to grab a quick meal for me and they hubby whilst we were holidaying here, the lady was very sweet and friendly chatting away. The place was clean and tidy. upon arriving home to dive into it, we discovered it was nothing like chinese food we were used to. infact it was very cheap and tasteless. wont visit here again

This has to be the worst takeaway in Weymouth,,,spare ribs, more like spare gristle,, the chow Mein tasted burnt, and the chicken fried rice,,luke warm,,never again,,

I love Chinese food and consider this to be the best in Weymouth.Run by a lovely family,free delivery,hot and sour soup to die for,worth trying.

We visited this takeaway for the first time last week on recommendation and were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, the food was cooked in view, was reasonably priced and proved to be excellent.
