Golden Star Chinese Takeaway, Rastrick, Brighouse Don’t let the modest exterior fool you—Golden Star is a hidden gem! I recently tried their salt and pepper chicken with rice and barbecue spare ribs, and I was thoroughly impressed. The flavors were spot on, with the perfect balance of seasoning and freshness. The salt and pepper chicken was crispy yet tender, and the barbecue spare ribs were deliciously succulent. For me, this is the best Chinese takeaway in Brighouse. The quality of the food speaks for itself, making it a fantastic choice for anyone craving authentic and flavorful Chinese dishes. Highly recommend!

Chicken in ok sauce totally delightful. Never been disappointed with anything.

Rang the takeaway and gave my order, advised would be ready in 15-20 mins for collection. Food ready and on time very friendly staff. Food was fresh and hot, very tasty, crisp salt & pepper chicken, Special curry lots of meat and king Prawns, chips hot and lightly browned ( perfect for me). special fried rice was delicious with extra slices of meat and chicken on top. Sweet and sour sauce tangy and tasty, all round just delicious 😋😍

Very fussy eater when it comes to eating Chinese food as I have cooked it for many of years in multiple different takeaways and restaurants however this place is really good. I personally think their House Special Fried Rice & Singapore Vermicelli are by far the best for miles around here and I would highly recommend you try this.

First time ordering here and will no be returning! Ordered sweet and sour chicken got chicken balls which was still pink in the middle! Good job I cut my daughter up before giving them her as I wouldn't of noticed otherwise absolutely disgusting

Definitely the best in brighouse. The salt and pepper chicken is the by far the best I've ever tasted!! Chips are spot on. Bbq spare ribs are nice a meaty. Curry sauce tasted great! Also the special fried rice had plenty of meat! Collection is always 10 minutes. Very quick service. I will continue to order from here!!! Love it.

Absolutely terrible the first time I’ve ever had to return a takeaway

Best chinese around !!! Too many people have got used to the bland tastless offerings from other takeaways. This place is the dogs danglers and all served in large foil containers like the good old days not these tiny plastic ones. The special fried rice is excellent 👍

Got scammed by this restaurant I live in Ireland no where near this spot and they scammed my card. Avoid.

Would have been five but Kaine wanted more vegetables. Layout of box requires rethink, bad distribution of noodles. Overall the food left two happy customers who both agree the food was well worth the money paid.

My local Chinese takeaway and I'm never disappointed. Food is always freshly cooked and tasty; never had issues. Usually collect my order and am never left waiting long.

Great Chinese, always tastes gold, high quality and doesn't cost you the earth. Only one thing they could do to do better and that's to start doing seaweed!! Apart from that, fantastic everytime.

We ordered meals for 4 of us all 4 meals were awful, the worst being the chicken balls for sweet and sour chicken were completely raw in the middle. I called the takeaway and the owner just started randomly shouting at me in Chinese I'm guessing, awful food, awful customer service when I called and asked if I could order a collection he shouted what you want?! Absolutely awful first time using here and I'll make sure as many people as possible don't use them again. Feel physically sick!!!!

We have been going to this takeaway for 25 years now and the food is amazing. The couple who own it are really lovely and the food is seriously the best we have had anywhere!! Gorgeous spare ribs,spring rolls,fried rice dishes,beef cantonese!!We could go on!Very highly recommended!

Really good portion sizes had the duck fried rice which came with huge chunks of duck which was lovely. Highly recommend

Chen be whipping up the finest Chinese Quisine within the nine realms, the spring rolls got some mighty crunch and the duck has the bite. The great wall? more like the not so great wall if google could let me rate above 5 stars I would rate 2 0

Amazing food, good quality, very fresh, only downside for me personally was the chips which we ordered, they weren't the chunky Chinese style chips we loved

food was nice i would recommend the sea food king praw chow mien and spring rolls, service is excellent and the people there are polite and quick to serve.

Wont be going back here food was greasy and both me and my partner was severly sick and was vomiting all night

Asked for veg spring rolls and was given meat ones I'm vegetarian and only realised after i ate half of one so not impressed at all. Rest of food was really salty and dry. Duck was so dry even the cats wouldn't eat it. Won't be going there again.

Popped in for a chinese takeaway. I havn't been for a while but the food has always been good and tasty. Never been dissapointed. Very clean premises which is always a plus. Extensive menu which offers banquets. Reasonably priced. Quick service. Overall very good.

REAL CHINESE FOOD! Cooked in view of the customer, no pretence! Just a man and a WOK and a ladle spooning in things to make a MOST EXCELLENT MEAL! You could go a LONG way to find another REAL CHINESE food shop.

Raw chicken. Tasteless food. Requires urgent attention. I can't stress how bad this was. The only positive i can find is it took 10 minutes from phone call to pick up.

Ive had a couple of meals here, first not too impressed...seemed to get better...then both i and a friend got food poisoning, should have known...food was very salty ...to cover up off neat...i would NOT eat here ever again !

this is the best Chinese takeaway out of them all, and i have tried a lot. The hong kong sweet and sour chicken and salt and pepper chicken is heavenly. 10/10 recommend :)

Prompt service. Resonable price. Excellent food best sweet and sour I've had in a long while. Never used this take away before but definately will do from now on.
