Golden Valley in Wiltshire

Well where do I start. The crispy shredded beef was more like slips of batter with nothing in it. Sauce was very runny and about as spicy as a tomato. The chicken curry was very bland with 6 pieces of chicken in and half of those pieces were like chewing rubber and had to be spat out and the egg fried rice had burnt but in. On the plus side, their chips weren't to bad. Overall, I would rather eat my own earwax instead of having another takeaway from this place. STAY AWAY PEOPLE. You have been warned

Absolutely appalling food, will never use or recommend to anyone!!! Ordered 4 dishes, all poor, sauces watery with no taste, meats barely cooked and chewy!!!!🤮🤮🤮

I just do not know what to say, I have never had such awful food! Spare ribs and a Chinese curry that tasted like nothing I have ever had before.

We use the chinese takeaway frequently. Food is always great and a good value for money. It's so useful having the takeaway in the village :)

My wife was away so i thought i'd trea myself to a take away curry. It was awful. I could not chew the beef at all and just ate the sauce and rice. This place used to be good but not anymore.I will never go again!

We use this Chinese about 3 times a month, they are always very friendly, food is always good and always hot when we get home.

Usual Chinese menu which you would expect to find. Service good and friendly and you can phone ahead for your meal so it is ready to collect when you arrive.

Be very careful if this Chinese. Their containers are very small even though their prices don't reflect this! Slow service and premises are dirty looking. Sauces on the meals overpower any other flavors. Avoid and go to other nearby places !

Always reliable quick service and decent takeaway food at a reasonable price, and only a couple of minutes off the A303. Recommended.

Open again and so happy, their food is worth the money, and would definitely choose to travel a little further to this take away as opposed to alternatives nearby. Great service and me and my friends just love it!

Only used once! The food was greasy and overcooked and was the worst chinese food I have ever experienced. Avoid at all costs!

My wife and I use this takeaway on a regular basis and we have never had a bad meal. The food is always piping hot and ready when you are told so no waiting around. Well worth using!

Not sure what has been happening over the last 6 months but the three times we have tried to order food there was an answer machine message stating the were closed (for unknown reasons). Very disappointing as its the best Chinese in the area

I love this little Chinese, never had a bad meal, the chicken balls are lovely and the shredded chilli beef is delicious. Well priced and very polite service.

This appears to be the only Chinese takeaway in Mere. Just to note, it's cash only.

Wow what a non-starter the 'mushrooms' were clearly not fresh and had zero taste in a mushroom curry, all chewy and watery (defrosted ?). Rice was more plain boiled than egg fried, not worth the money paid, note to self........cook it yourself!

i don't use it all that often but when i do, nothing has changed, its a chip shop, foods ok nothing bad but not that great either

We had to throw it away, it was flouting in oil, it smelt awful and the carton were dirty. Please do not eat from this place.

A good choice menu that covers most of the flavours of Chinese cuisine.Can be very good,but some times a bit hit and miss.Do they have different cooks some nights.

Opens nice and early at 5 p.m. Usually takeaway ready in 20 mins. Recommend the chicken and cashew with bamboo and water chestnuts , beef chow mein, sweet and sour Hong Kong style - that's what we usually get!

Another place with a good location in the middle of Mere , has a bit of a stranglehold on the town as it's the only Chinese in it . Not bad food as a rule with average prices . Reasonable menu

Ordered a takeaway which was ready when they said it would be and really nice and hot. No delivery so you have to collect. Started with a lovely spring roll that was enormous but after that the food was basic and reminded me of the takeaways that I used to eat as a child back in the 70s.
