Homey vegetarian food and friendly service. My husband got The Govinda Thai but then wished he had gotten The Large like me because mine came with larger portions of vegetables. The seating area is small and busy (we went around 13:00 in December). They don't take bookings but since it's designed to be a place where you eat and head out (no lingering), the waits aren't long. The Hare Krishna temple is located next door.

Always beautiful food here, could easily become a vegetarian if all vegetarian food was this good!

What a gem of a place. Busy and popular, but still quick and efficient. Vegans, vegetarians and the gluten intolerant will enjoy their limited but tasty value for money menu.

The reason why I give it a one star for service is because there is an Indian lady that usually serves the food who is astonishingly rude!! She serves the food with no love, shouts at you when you are trying to decide what to eat. I have been coming to eat here over 10 years and come at least once a week and bring with me at least 4-6 people. This only happens with this particular lady and may I say only that I noticed it is only with the Indian customers . No one else behaves in this manner! I understand you have to serve fast but there is absolutely no need to be rude and unpleasant. I have held my tongue every time as I don’t want to upset myself before my meal but I think she needs to be aware this kind of rudeness to devotees and others is absolutely not acceptable when you are serving food at a place of worship. I’m sure everyone that has been to Govinda’s will know exactly who I’m taking about. Please adjust your tone and attitude. Thank you

Jay Shree Krishna 🙏🏻 I recently visited Govinda's, a restaurant run by ISKCON devotees, but I must say it didn’t meet the expectations of Indian food lovers who enjoy spicy and flavorful dishes. We ordered the Deluxe Thali, priced at £13.95 each, but the portions were surprisingly small. For this price, many Indian restaurants offer unlimited buffet options with a variety of dishes. The food was decent but far from exceptional. What shocked me the most was that the thali included only one puri! I understand the respect people have for Krishna Bhagwan, but this should not prevent us from speaking the truth. Krishna teaches us to value honesty, and in my opinion, the pricing and quantity at Govinda's are overrated. It’s important to maintain a balance between spiritual devotion and fair value for money.

Amazing and delicious food! I had the veggie option which had the best curry I’ve ever tasted. The vegetable samoas were so flavourful too. The service was fast and friendly. Cheap prices and good portion sizes. Would recommend to anybody!

HareKrishna🙏🏽😇 I don't think there is a comparison for food served at ISKON, its always with a mixture of love, care and affection. Food is very tasty, fresh and scrumptious; like divine Prasadam of Lord Krishna, and restuarant staffs are very sweet and caring; asking politely for any allergies or spice level before serving the food. Thank you Govinda's. Its a must visit for a Satvik food to taste in London.

I live in Dublin, and I often go to the Dublin Govinda's. According to me, London Govinda's is far more better than the Dublin one. Its because, it has way more options than in Dublin. Anyways, I loved the place and the ambience.

The quantity of food does not justify the price I paid for the food however it is one of the better Indian restaurants I have visited. I did enjoy a simple meal after a long time but I felt the quantity was lesser than expected.

Food prepared and served by spiritually conscious people makes a difference. Plus, it is all vegetarian with vegan options. You need to queue and pay before sitting, and there are two staff members guiding people to available tables. The atmosphere is good but always packed.
