Grato in Kensington and Chelsea

Después de haber cancelado la reserva en Il Portico. Tenemos una reserva de última hora en Grato. Fue realmente una de las mejores comidas italianas que hemos tenido, el cangrejo y la pasta de chile era excelente. Vale la pena visitarlo.

Nos gustó encontrar este encantador restaurante en un rincón tranquilo y bonito de Kensington. Hay un delicioso algo para todos en el menú y el servicio es cálido y atento. Maravillosa comida fresca en un entorno encantador.

Fui aquí para el cumpleaños de mi hija, comida italiana sencilla, buen ambiente y buen restaurante local para la zona de Kensington. Tuvimos un buen tiempo y tratado muy bien por el personal / sin duda vale la pena ir si estás en la zona con un buen precio también.

Absolutamente encantador pequeño restaurante italiano en el área de Kensington. Mi marido y yo partimos una ensalada de tomate reliquia que era muy sabrosa. Mi marido pidió el plato Tagliolini Brixham Crab mientras que yo pido el especial de cordero Ragu de la noche y ambos platos eran excepcionales. Seguimos nuestra cena con una rodaja de Tarta de Polenta de Naranja Sangrienta y una copa de Limoncello para terminar la noche. El servicio era tan amable y acogedor que nos hizo sentir como si estuviéramos visitando a viejos amigos. Estamos de visita desde los Estados Unidos y estaremos en Londres una semana más. Esperamos volver a visitar antes de salir, pero sin duda recomendaremos a otros en nuestro grupo de viaje. Tuvimos un tiempo maravilloso!

Este es nuestro restaurante favorito en Londres. Auténtica cocina italiana que se sirve con amor. Nuestro hijo y familia viven a solo unas cuadras de distancia en Kensington y este lugar siempre está en nuestro itinerario para visitar. Increíble pasta casera , gran servicio y te sientes como un miembro de la familia . No puedo esperar a volver ❤️

My husband and I booked a table for dinner prior to attending a concert in the Royal Albert Hall. The restaurant itself is not big so booking is recommended. The menu choice not huge but the food cooked is simple delicious Italian food. My husband had warmed prawns to start whilst I chose pumpkin ravioli, with a side dish of bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. My husband then chose ragout bolognese pasta whilst I had veal served in a beautiful lemon sauce with artichokes, and a side dish of broccoli. We then shared a vanilla Pana cotta with cherry sauce. All the dishes we had were delicious and the portion sizes just right. My husband also enjoyed the house wine of the month, from Sicily, which was served by the glass, whilst I had tasty freshly made lemonade. Grato is a lovely find and we will be back when next in that part of London.

After a vista to Trailfinders we wanted some lunch and walked away from the high street and found this restaurant. Great find lovely chatty staff and delicious food the panda cotta and Tiramisu wonderful

Stopped here for lunch after wandering around the shops. Warm, chatty service and a calm atmosphere. My truffle pasta was incredible and our dessert was so good. Can heartily recommend this great restaurant.

This place is a nice escape from the busy main streets of London. It is beautifully situated at the kensington square in a quiet and residential area. We had a fantastic evening here. The staff was charming, the wine was good and the truffle pasta were some of the best that I have had in my life. Keep up the good work and we will definitely come again!

A return visit during a short stay in Kensington. The atmosphere is intimate, the staff welcoming and the food is excellent. My baked cod with a shellfish bisque was delicious and my wife’s ravioli dish was equally good. We shared a tiramisu. We enjoyed a glass of the wine of the month one red and one white which were well chosen and good value. We will be back next time we’re in the area.

The most perfect spot for a cosy dinner with my husband with a great atmosphere, attentive service and most importantly delicious food. The burrata and pumpkin ravioli were particular highlights. The ravioli is a smaller size portion but if having a starter/appetisers first, it doesn’t seem inadequate. The prices are very fair for the quality of food. Will look forward to visiting again!

The place is not value for money and the manager is somewhat rude as on entering at around 17.36 he told me that he can give me a table only until 18.30. I ordered a large portion of ravioli for 18 pounds and on bringing the dish there were only 8 small pieces of ravioli spreaded all over the plate. Noticing other people’s dishes portions seemed just normal but I left the place still hungry even having paid 34 pounds for a ravioli dish a coffee and a tiramisu. The place itself is compacted like a container does not bring pleasure to eat inside. I found the place a rip off.

I found this great little restaurant through reviews on Trip Advisor. We booked for 6pm which was a really good idea as it got really busy. The service was great with friendly and helpful staff. The menu is quite small but the dishes we had were really good and the hot food was really hot. Rigatoni Classic Bolognese san marzano, pork, beef, kale, pecorino, basil Handmade Tagliolini Brixham Crab garlic, parsley, fresh chilli, amalfi lemon zest.This dish was amazing the smell of the crab rising from the dish told me I was in for something special. This dish was recommended by both waiters how looked after us. Towards the end of our meal it did get very busy and the service became slightly rushed but don't let that put you off.

I found this little gem of a restaurant for part of my daughter's 25th birthday treat and we had the most amazing lunch. Ok, the menu isn't vast, but there's something for everyone and the dishes we had were superb! My daughter had the prawns followed by the pasta beef ragu and I had the whipped goat's cheese with beetroot followed by the pumpkin tortellini, all was amazing. Peter helped with our red wine choice which was also delicious (similar to Barolo) and he and his team couldn't have done more to make our dining experience extra special! Thank you so much and we'll definitely be visiting again very soon.

Grato is a quite outstanding Italian restaurant. In a city full of mediocre Italian restaurants, Grato stands out head and shoulders above the competition. It’s small, intimate, cosy, welcoming and quite difficult to find. Last night we ate here early before heading off to the Royal Albert Hall for the Cirque du Soleil. We were the first customers of the night, and largely had the place to ourselves. But even so could not have asked for a warmer welcome on a cold evening, for better wines to go with the meal, or for more scrummy food. Honestly. We have lived in Italy for 2 years, and even so we are hard pushed to remember eating at an Italian restaurant that was so pleasant and enjoyable. It’s not a huge menu - thank goodness - but the dishes that they offer are delicious to the point of being memorable. This may all sound like hyperbole, but that was the experience that we had last night on our first, chance visit. We will certainly be back. If you get a chance, eat here. I doubt if you will regret it.

Fantastic family meal to celebrate wife’s birthday at this hidden gem. Great ambience, excellent friendly service, authentic dishes made with an emphasis on fresh ingredients. Highly recommend.

It really does not get much better than this. Amazing food, lovey service and quiet room. Grato is a small, family style Italian restaurant just of Kensington High Street (near Whole Foods). We are staying close by and decided to try this restaurant. The menu looked very good to us. Well, we were delightfully surprised by the quality of the food. Our only regret was not going there earlier in our trip. We will surely make up for that in the few weeks we still have in London.

Fabulous meal, we were a group of 7. Very well looked after. Great food. Good wine. Good service. My wife and I had been once before, for a quick lunch, and we recommended to our wider group of family and friends, hence this pre Royal Albert Hall visit. No one was dissapointed !

Fabulous Italian in Kensington. Delicious food, very authentic and well sourced seasonal ingredients. The Black Truffle spaghetti was a treat, the tortellini divine, the antipasti board as a starter one of the best. Service was excellent, Pietro friendly and helpful. Highly recommended..

Cosy little restaurant in a lovely square offering an authentic Italian menu. Everything we had was delicious - really flavoursome. I had the mint lemonade and the ravioli and both were faultless. We also shared some sourdough which was really tasty with good quality olive oil drizzled on top. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.

This was our first time at Grato and I'm sure it won't be our last . We were in Kensigton and I was persuaded by the reviews I had read about Grato . The ambience is welcoming and intimate. The food was delicious - fresh and beautifully prepared and cooked. We really enjoyed our lunch here.

This small, family-run restaurant is a real gem in the Kensington area. I went here for dinner several years ago, and the experience this time around was every bit as good. Certainly one of the best small restaurants in this area, if not the best.

The food was very plain. Nothing special. For some reason the wine glasses did not smell good. We ate quickly and left. Very expensive place for average food and service.
