I ordered a takeaway absolutely delicious my food was so tasty piping hot great delivery driver would definitely order again

Ordered a takeaway 21/12/24 from Green garden where we have ordered from for many years with no problems, and also rated it the best delivery Chinese in Halesowen. Recently we have been ordering our Chinese takeaways from Golden Fish Chinese in Lye as their food is far superior, however only disadvantage is we need to collect their food as our address is just outside their delivery area and on a cold Saturday night decided to order delivery from Green garden. However on this occasion we were missing an item from our order so called back to inform them of the missing item. On calling back their customer service was disgusting, they were not bothered at all they had missed an item from our order and despite admitting they made the mistake they refused to send the missing item, then also stated if we wanted them to bring the missing item we would need to pay delivery! The person on the phone was nothing but rude, patronising and clearly does not appreciate their regular customers nor wish to provide a good level of customer service. Do not order from here, and if you do be prepared if you are missing any items they will not be replaced! Not only has their food deteriorated over the last few months, but their customer service is appalling and from now on even on cold dark nights I will drive to Golden Fish in Lye to collect our takeaway, if you have not tried it I’d definitely recommend!!! Avoid green garden at all costs!!!

I've never had a bad experience with this takeaway, fast delivery, hot tasty food, my favourite chinese by far.

Food always used to be lovely from here, but sadly it’s now really poor. I had a special curry - the pork was most definitely off, I had to spit it out. The fried rice had almost no egg, and it was almost black with the amount of soy sauce. This is the second bad experience in a month. I will be looking for somewhere else to eat.

Hi I've been using green garden for a few yrs. Today I just ordered spring rolls and small tub curry my partner had beef curry and rice. I really Enjoyed it thank you veryuch

Order from here for years. Its my fiancé's favourite Chinese but not anymore. Had one in January and it the curries were watery and tastless. Ordered again this month to find its still watery but just added extra spices (probablyto hide the fact). Taste aweful🤢, very disappointed, will not return.

Went on just eat and literally clicked on the first Chinese I saw which was this one ordered a chicken curry, I then had a look at the reviews afterwards and wasn’t sure what to expect. Food arrived within ten minutes and was piping hot. Also normally wherever I go I find the sauce abit sickly after abit but that was not the case with this place and will deffo order it again

The food was cold the delivery was 2 hrs late the customer service was absolutely atrocious I also didn’t receive a couple of items on my order they told me that I never asked for them when it’s on my receipt this is really frustrating and appalling that this food establishment should be allowed to sell food

Felt compelled to write a review having seen the poor ones of late. Pleasantly surprised! Excellent chow mein, rice and curry sauces. Served on time, hot and tasty. Cannot fault service or food. Will definitely use again as we regard Green Garden as the best in area.

First off free prawn crackers were stale,you could fold them without them braking,chicken omelette, omelette was cooked plain then diced chicken added then folded up,not good,the peas that are normally in the omelette were in the tray with the chips omg,the chip were like bricks,ribs were just gristle and fatty with hardly any meat,the wife said crispy chicken was ok,I ordered on just eat but won't let me leave written review so it ended up with 4/ an half star review cuz I gave 5 for early delivery,it goes without saying will not be ordering again from there.

I use to always have brilliant food from here but it must of changed hands in the last 6 to 12 months the last take aways from here have been totally rubbish I will never use this again. Rest in peace the old green garden 🙏 your be missed

Been ordering from here since 2009 consistently good food and service is exceptional. Ordered tonight for a first time in a long while tbh, don’t know what’s gone on but the food was average and that’s being polite. Delivery was fast, driver was polite. Food, terrible. Don’t bother you shall be disappointed.

Not as good as the last owners. Chips were rock hard. More onions than meat in a mixed meat curry. Tasted nice, it wasn’t bad but the owners before were better. No more free prawn crackers either.

Used this Chinese for over 5 years now ànd food back then was amazing qnd 1 last nite and something changed tasted different

I'm not sure what's happened to green garden, I have been ordering from them for ten years but now their food tastes 💯 different and the fried rice tastes like plastic with no flavour whatsoever!! If they have been taken over then this is the reason as I and all my family loved their food and rice!!! Will most certainly not be ordering from them again,.... Very sad customer 😔

We were concerned about all of the recent reviews, but we needn’t have worried - it was just as good as usual - don’t get scared off!!

Well, we've been using Green Garden for around 5years now. It used to be great, but honestly, the one we had tonight was terrible, cost £29, some of our order was incorrect (asked for a portion of mini spring rolls, got 2 large instead). Everything about this Chinese has changed and not for the good, the curry sauce is different, the chicken is different, the Singapore curry is completely different and the veg doesn't seem to be cooked enough. I think we can safely say we'll be finding somewhere else in future.

Lived in Halesowen for 3 years and tried many Chinese takeaways that have all been disgusting and have all gone in the bin until tonight! I placed a small order with Green Garden to try for first time as was yet again expecting another order to throw in the bin…but at last the food was lovely!! Great portions, delivered hot and on time, and very tasty! Have finally found a lovely Chinese and will definitely order again! 25/2/23 unfortunately due to new management I would not recommend as the last few orders we have placed have been bland food (definitely changed the recipes), cold, smaller portions but more expensive therefore will not order again. Back on the hunt for a new Chinese.

Sadly after taking years to find a decent Chinese takeaway in Halesowen and using this Chinese takeaway for the last year where the food was always delicious and great portions…it has drastically changed. I believe it has new management and the food now in our last 3 orders has been bland, half the portion size but more expensive. Last night is the last order I will place as I’m sure the chicken and pork was also off, the smell when we opened the containers was awful and it went straight in the bin. Back on the hunt for a new Chinese.

Ok today's date. 25/02/2023 Below standard. What's going on. Has the Cook gone. What can I say. Not a Chinese takeaway experience for me now. Used it for years.. Need to find a good ...feel good Chinese takeaway now.. again...to make up for low quality food.

Don’t know if they have had a new chef but the food used to be lovely had tea from there tonight asked for two steak dinners well done both came.almost still alive some of the order missing you should not see red meat if you have asked for well done we shall never eat from there again

Don’t no where to start with this place we have been ordering from here for well over 12 years got numerous people to start ordering from here because of how good it was! It’s gone down hill so bad with this new management! They have started charging delivery free £4, the meat was raw the sauce is bland I’m so disappointed to see this place go as we haven’t found one that has matched how good this place was AWFUL!!!!

I've been going to this Chinese for over a decade. 99% of the time the food and service were genuinely amazing. Now they have new owners and chefs, the last 3 orders have been terrible. Smaller portions, lower quality food, food that's been cooked and then clearly reheated in a microwave, half cooked (rushed) chips and there doesn't seem to be ANY seasoning on the food... It's so strange! Sad to see this place go, but Green Garden is dead. I won't be returning.

Been buying from here regularly for many years. Food has changed, tonight Chinese tasted like last weeks warm ups, Prawn crackers was stale. Don’t waste your money people

For the last 4 years was the Loveliest fresh tasting food and was the best Chinese food we have had for a while. Sadly new management are not achieving the 5 Stars we gave before. Food no longer enjoyable.

Went in ordered 2 sausages and chips the new owner said we haven't got any sausages so I said cancel the second sausages and chips then he said chicken and mushroom curry i was like huh so went back home the gravy was sweet very awful I was disappointed because they put a chicken and mushroom curry in which I didn't ask for the curry sauce was also awful they messed up my order very disappointing because I always enjoyed this place the new owners don't know what they are doing Do not Recommend

Management changed. Sorry to see the old Management go. Have been ordering from here for a few years now and never been disappointed, until now, the last 3 times of ordering, portion & quality definitely gone down hill with very little taste, sorry won't be ordering again. ☹

Been using this Chinese takeaway delivery since the pandemic started in march 2020. In all that time they have never dropped the ball. First class. Regularly spend £25 for three meals each Friday. One gripe, telephone ordering is a bit hit and miss on some Fridays and Saturdays. Sometimes you don't get an answer as phone is always engaged. So plan B is always to order from Sing Fung. Similar same quality as green garden

So last week ordered food took 2 hrs to arrive well I thought it Friday people are treating them self’s so tonight I rang up for a yuk sung and some chips 15 mins they well after an hr rang them back not even started cooking said another 20 min took me ages to get through the second time to see where the food was ended up cancelling food

Wow is all I can say. I've tried a few Chineses but this is best Chinese I have ever had this will be my go too from now on I'd 100% recommend them food was absolutely delicious

Just had tastiest mixed meat curry ever, good portion size, proper Chinese chips, absolutely delicious

Food is the best around, but the delivery service is shocking, everytime I order it takes around 2 hours and that's with me chasing delivery after 1hour and 30min

Foods not up to standard because chips was over cooked and the rest of the food was badly cooked could be a lot better because years the was excellent and now itsi rubbish never order from you again

Been using green garden for years. There portion sizes are 2 meals in one for meals that get choice of sides like rice to go with curry. Great value for money and good taste.

Food always Delivered quick and hot. Great taste to the food, portion sizes are fantastic as i can never believe how much they get into a container. Friendly staff and delivery drivers, would highly recommend this Chinese to anybody living local.

Just tried the Green Garden for the first time. Not disappointed at all. Ample portions, fresh ingredients, served hot. Maybe towards the upper end on price but still excellent value. Now we have a menu to peruse we will certainly try again compare on our regular choices.

Ridiculous, ordered at 7.30 and at 9.15 I phoned them to be told it's still in the kitchen being prepped!! Disgusting!!

Amazing Special Fried Rice and the barbecue sauce is to die for! Great fresh food, cheap compared to other Chinese takeaways in the area. Recommended.
