Green Ginger in Torbay

Didn't eat there as we were staying in a hotel near there we sat outside as the sun was shining and quite warm 👍 great service 👍👍

Love this place can get busy but otherwise good value for money

The pub was busy, we ordered using the app and were served drinks quickly, food took a little longer , the food arrived hot and was good even pleased my 16 year old grandson, overall very pleased.

Was a busy Saturday afternoon, but food and drink arrived fast

Extremely busy, food reasonably priced although slightly cold. Clearing the tables were the issue several times asking for other people's glasses to be removed from our table. Didn't appear to be enough staff. Bits of the ceiling fell off while we were eating.

Good food, nice ale, rammed. Toilets weren't as clean as they might have been.

Christmas service but ales were great

Good value food and free refill hot drinks and a pleasant enough environment. A not infrequent visitor.

Sadly can't give no stars as I would if I could This is the worst pub in Torquay and the so called security are still like school leavers

Popped in for a quiet drink and a lite bite.. It's a Weatherspoons pub.. so you know what your getting

Had two meals here in November. Both were well cooked and hot. Service very quick. The other 3 members of our group had good meals too. We were on holiday.

Scramin kids and drunk. Mom's, and tables not cleaned, go to the harbour instead it's cleaner

Steak was sensational! Had to pass on compliments to the chef as it was more fine dining restaurant than pub grub. Can't wait to go back there again!!!

Wetherspoons Pub. Its changed. In a Poor state of repair. Even the tables don't have number on them. Food was a little cremated ..... and so was the replacement. Still has good beer.

Got there and it was closed for building work. Travelled there especially for a breakfast. Wether spoons, you need toet people know on your website if places are closed.

It was a winter's Monday night, so this is probably why it was dead. Korean chicken meal with coconut rice was great though.

Surprisingly very busy given I visited mid week lunchtime in November.

The quality of the food is very very poor.tastless, bland whatever words you chose to use. The products before cooking are definitely substandard or the cooks are useless . had better at the soup kitchen. Will not be visiting again

Awesome chicken wings, even better then the previous suppliers. Manager Richards customer service was great, nothing was to much trouble when I popped in. Excellent hot chilli garlic sauce too, annoying the bottles are always sticky but it's worth it for the taste

It's a Wetherspoon. Does what it says on the tin. Tasty simple food served politely and efficiently. Ideally located for a break when doing the shopping. Recomnended. 👍

Sadly the kitchen was having work done so no food available. Otherwise a good spoons on the whole.

Great place to have breakfast. Good prices, the only thing I can fault is that we had to clear our own table before sitting down. There were a lot of tables that needed clearing.

Just a typical spoons, you get what you pay for. Cheap food, but cooked as you ask. Beer is always good, service is typical of a spoons, but still better than other pubs in the area.

Very large pub , curry I had was good, quite a lot of chicken in curry,nice flavour. Lager was too cold !!

Nearest Coffee machine not working had to used one in middle of pub which was a very hazardous walk,many steps,with hot drinks and families with children allowed to walk around.accident waiting to happen

A lovely tea with the kids after the circus. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg for a dining out treat in a Weatherspoons pub. You know what you are getting, there is room for the family to spread out, kiddies don't get tutted at and there is no washing up afterwards. It's the Weatherspoons win! Great value always

It was very good and the Staff were very helpful

We cwere there for the day in Torquay for our Wedding Anniversary and we had a celebratory drink to mark the day. As always good food, nice friendly staff, atmosphere and location

Food a bit cold but cheap and cheerful

A typical English location! Very cute, you order in the application and it arrives at the table in 5 minutes! I ate breakfast, the classic English breakfast and Eggs Benedict, very good! It's not very crowded, but with a classic English atmosphere!

This particular wetherspoons is a lovely place but because it's in Torquay it's very busy and just trying to get a seat is your first challenge,if you can get a window seat then you're doing well but if not there is seating internally but I thought it was a bit darkish If they get to take over the pavilion across the road what a gold mine

The place could with brightening up as the decor is very dull and dark. It looks like it has never been redecorated since it was opened. Beer was very good, food quite good.

Me, Mum and Dad had left at 2am in the morning from our home for our holiday. We arrived in Torquay, and we needed breakfast. We went looking for decent cafes. A local chap informed us off a Wetherspoons (The Green Ginger) for a cooked breakfast We found the pub where the chap said it was, and my mum saw a lift, but it was all locked up, and we went into enquire about it. My mum asked the miserable looking lady behind the bar saying we need help in regards to my dad's mobility scooter cuz there was a lift and we got a reply with "the lift is not suitable for mobility scooters so you have to follow the building all the way round to the right where there is a lift" so we went around and found a lift but it led us to a shopping centre which is like a maze which was poorly signed so I went back in the pub and asked the staff member and he guided me and showed me there is a bridge so I went and followed the path where it was flat and easy for my dad so I signalled my mum and dad where I am and lead them to it. My mum helped him to cross the busy road safely without a pedestrian crossing. There was a dropped kerb at the beginning of the pavement, but when dad got into the middle and waited for traffic again. My mum noticed no dropped kerb but further down. My dad had to stay on the road for the dropped kerb further down to get back on the pavement with traffic started coming again from the busy junction. As soon as we got into the pub, there was no room to park the mobility scooter, and we found a table. The woman at the bar (was the one my mum had spoken to first about the lift) but she was polite when taking our order. The service for our food was quick and the lady was pleasant with a smile but I ordered a mocha and my drink did not taste like a mocha at all so we won't go there again. On our way out of the pub. We noticed the way back through the shopping centre. It was very badly signed posted for a shopping centre in which door for lifts/toilets and for the pub.

It's ok It's just a wetherspoons. Same thing in all of them

Great place for a meal and drink

Gotta be the worst spoons i've ever been in, rubbish all over the floor, tables not cleaned, full of noisy drunks, queers and oddballs. Wont be going again.

We called in for food and drink in the evening as on holiday service was great didn't take long to get served and would say within 10 mins of ordering our food arrived Food hot and cooked to how it was ordered Very busy Spoons and good vibe too would recommend and would visit again

A lovely positioned Whetherspoons. Great views over the harbour and town. Food and drinks standard fare, tasty and affordable.

Great food, great prices. What can I say? It's a standard spoons, although quite big but really nice. Good garden with a great view of the town.

When we arrived the table was full of dirty dishes and glasses. Other waitresses came by and went, and table still full for about an hour. When Pandora was asked if she could clear the table, no problem!! Leaving us with a spotless table, she was so friendly and very confident in her work and towards us. We ordered Cod fish and chips - absolutely beautiful, everything was perfectly cooked ( or warmed, not sure if it’s dinged, but beautiful) Beer good and lager, lovely buss about the place. Couldn’t have asked for more. Say a big thank you to Mr Martin his staff are brilliant and a pleasure to eat in the Green Ginger Torquay.

Just nipped to minehead for the day it started to rain as we passed by the Green Ginger so we just had to nip in just to get out of the rain. Nice pub good layout the staff were friendly and attentive and no hiking of prices because of it being at the coast the, only thing with it is it was quite a way from the seafront.

From ordering the food the Green Ginger is the only Wetherspoons I know that have brought the meals out so quickly. Dont know how they did it but was piping hot, no complaints. Well done

Dirty. It’s really hard to get someone to clean your table. Food is basic, burger wasn’t great. Atmosphere wasn’t very nice.

You're usual good pub grub. Hot well presented quick decent food. Good price.

The worst bar staff ever! They all seem to have bad attitudes but, the girl with the red streaks in her hair is clueless and extremely rude. Have they had training? Does not seem like it. We left after one drink. Give the job to someone who deserves it!
