Greggs in Manchester

I work nights at the airport you will always get cold food here .THE HOT FOOD IS ALWAYS COLD. The staff are nice and tell the truth.

I was staying over at the airport for an early flight so went to Gregg's at 3pm to check their opening times. I was told they are 24 hours. I checked if they had the steak bakes going all night and she said yeah. Went at 6pm to get some tea. Everything apart from sausages rolls were stone cold. I asked if there would be some more coming out later. The two girls on duty were totally disinterested and said no. I asked what was in the ovens as all 4 were full. They said emmmmm veg bakes. I checked if they had a microwave to warm the steak bake but no. I reluctantly took the 2 steak bakes and when she handed them over the were absolutely done cold with not an ounce of warmth. Absolutely disgusting service and disgusting steak bakes as they were so cold the day had congealled. The 2 servers were absolutely useless and didn't seem to have any idea what was going on and didn't seem to care. I won't ever use that Greggs again which is a shame cause it used to be good

Disgusting. The animals that leave the equivalent of fecal matter on the tables in terms of their waste food and spilled drinks clogged together with tissues I should have taken a photo of the state. I would have alerted your staff but it was so understaffed I don't think they would have cared have someone constantly cleaning tables, a third world country does that!!!!! the state of this Greggs made me feel like I'd arrived into a a third world country. *Hint* it was the table that was closes to the public area. What a welcome to Manchester guys

Have the breakfast deal regular fortunately I always open a sandwich before eating it. There on one side in the middle of muffin was a huge blob of marg as though it had been squeezed out of a bottle , fortunately I had a knife to scrape it of enough to spread on 3 muffins, had a latte like tar undrinkable. As a regular at Greggs we have never had food as bad. It wasn’t so much the food it was the human who made it with no thought or care. If you are fed up leave your job . Because the way you put a sandwich together was shameful. And what ever you did to the coffee machine goodness knows . No pride in your work .

Greggs at the arrival is the first place to have some coffee and sandwiches when arriving in the UK via Manchester airport.

Expensive, of course, as it's a premium location. Food was 'ok', service was 'ok' There is quite a lot of floor space adjacent to the counter and display area of the store, but sparsely tabled. They Could easily add 50% more tables and chairs and probably double, for more customer comfort The floor under my table was quite dirty with crumbs, which would be fresh. But there was also a more heavy, longer-term brown substance which hadn't been removed for a very long time. Not good - see zoom pic Overall the store serves a purpose, is expensive but food and service are OK. Needs a good floor clean and double the number of tables and chairs

Few times been in store . Omelette most of the time is dry and bit hard , recent two visits got cold cheese and onion pastry. Food quality huge difference between t1 store and cargo terminal store.

The thing about Greggs is inconsistent quality. The other week I had chocolate. Lovely and chocolatey but got to the bottom of the cup and so much undesolved chocolate mix my stick stirrer stood up in it but hey it was nice fast forward to today and it’s weak as water and un drinkable. Also the choice is limited. Never seem to have enough available. Yes it’s a fast moving outlet but I’m sure they can have a better choice available at peak times.

The two staff that are on shift now at 00:36 on 14th November 2023 have the worst attitudes going, little road men wannabes. If you are going to get a job in customer service, might want to get some of that… customer service. Council estate trash bags

Recently arrived at Manchester Airport terminal. It's go get it place to grab coffee, snacks, sweets and freshly make confectionery. You can fetch a coffee or your own choice or any bakery item. They got sandwiches, salad, drinks and multiple option to fulfill appreciate at airport terminal. I have been to their outlets at terminal 1. I loved their freshly baked items on menu. Overall a satisfied customer from services and food point of view.

Friendly quick service and really clean

Another great Greggs spot with delicious food! The tables and floor nearby can sometimes be a bit dirty. It's true that the prices are higher but it's worth for a good bite. Notice that some items run out quicklier because it's an airport spot.

You can't go wrong with Greggs. Will always satisfy your appetite for a quick bite.

So I was at greggs and I fell over as I am unsteady on my feet but a lovely girl called Kirstyn helped me up. She also shown me what food I could get as I am blind. Definitely deserves a pay rise :)

We called in at Greggs before going to our hotel as we wanted just a snack before our evening meal,this is the second time we have used this Greggs and as it was last time the service was quick and the staff polite and the food was great,we will be calling again next year.

Cold pastries, limited meal deal not to mention expensive for the quality. I would perhaps expect a cold cheese & onion pastry at 2pm but at 8 o'clock in the morning? That's just plain wrong. Greg's wont warm it up for you either. What's up with that? I work at the airport and I'll be having my breakfast elsewhere.

Gregg's was hit badly by the hot food tax. Their sausage roll and pasty range is really only worth eating when hot. They refuse to take the tax hit so now you have to time it right to get food fresh from the oven. Some branches will be honest when food it still hot but not the airport stores. Given up buying as they lie frequently when asked. Premium prices too at the airport branches. Sausage rolls have jumped from 42p to nearly 3 times the cost in about 10 years. Also, regional variations in Gregg's mean they are not even consistently bad, some areas are even worse than others. Absolute last resort food option there days.

We always go to Greggs at Manchester Airport before checking in our luggage, T1 and T 2 both have Greggs pre checkin or buy when you arrive from your flight home.great choice of sandwiches we always take the cheese and ham logs also the tuna crunch logs with us on the aircraft. There’s a large choice of logs and sandwiches with lots if different fillings hot pasties and sausage rolls, cakes, pasta dishes hot drinks. it’s always service with a smile the staff are lovely and efficient

My first order of business on arrival at Manchester Airport is always to visit Greggs.There is an excellent selection of sandwiches, pastries and drinks but I only have eyes for the breakfast deals.I ordered a bacon roll and coffee. The roll is served with or without butter and with your choice of red or brown sauce and three rashers of bacon and was very good. The coffe was a generous size and also good. All this for just 2 pounds 80 pence, with an upgrade to a baguette also available for a small amount extra.What’s not to like?!

Greggs seems like a popular spot for people arriving at Manchester Airport Terminal 1. The offerings are pretty plain. I had a couple of sausage rolls, which seemed typical but unexciting. I also got a cinnamon bun, which was a bit stiff and dry. The fare at Greggs is pretty ordinary and certainly nothing special, but it seems to fulfill a need for a variety of people. Staff are friendly. Prices are fairly low.

Cheapest place if you work in the airport

Always call in for coffee, toastie and a biscuit. Hygienic, clean tidy, well stocked..mostly very busy but staff amble along in a proficient way and wait is minimal. Always found Gregg's food/ snacks fairly priced, good quality and appetizing in all the shops visited.

Sausage beans and cheese pasty outstanding

Decided on a greggs breakfast meal deal. Price is good value, Tasty but the omelette slightly on the burned side, tables need attention to detail and cleaned regular. staff friendly and polite.

Catch up time, when we visited the UK in December this was the first port of call when we came through terminal 1 arrivals. Greggs sausage roll 😋 😋 after 8 month's without a tasty sausage roll or pie, all I could think about was biting into one. Like every other Greggs, this hits the mark perfectly. Quick service, piping hot, delicious. What more could you want when you arrive on a miserable wet and cold day in Manchester. 👍👍👍👍👍

Pay a lot of money for rubbish food,no customer manners

Sat waiting for my cab and treating myself to a festive bake. The young man who is working today is a real credit to Greggs, Lewis. He is so polite and helpful, very organised and always got a friendly smile (this is not my first trip to Greggs at Manchester Airport). Keep up the good work.

Cold pasty very disappointed... after a long flight and no breakfast really looked forward to a good old meat and potato pasty it was stone cold! Make sure you ask if they are warm. 3 stars because it’s Greggs.

Greggs food is always reliable for quality but on a recent trip to Manchester Airport, the company was let down by the staff. The shop was on the busy side but staff seemed just unable to cope with simple things like taking the money. Most of the items for sale were off the shelf leaving just hot drinks to be made but this seemed to much. The main concern was rather than serve the queue of people voice discontent over the one that hasn't turned up for the shift and relay that no one could stay to cover. All of the tables were uncleared and dirty and one poor lad who looked new to the job had just lost the plot and was receiving no support. Rather than just clear the queue then decide on the best course of action, the decision was to just shut shop leaving the whole place in chaos and in true Manchester Airport style prices were at least double of the normal Greggs shops. This shop is sorely short of some professional supervision.

I visited Cafe Greggs Terminal 1 Manchester Airport on 12/09/2018 at 05.30 am The male at the counter did not give me the receipt and charged wrong and when I questioned him he dinied as i did not have proof as he never gave receipt 0 Customer service Bad attitude and nor respect the customer This individual needs to go on a Customer training course

So fresh that they don't have to put sell by dates on anything! Stock up before you fly,if not you will regret it,as you will then be paying nearly treble the price for something that maybe two days old!

Came off the 4.00am arrival hungry and decided on a bacon bap. Food was decent enough, but only one member of staff serving so there was along wait. Eventually another staff appeared to help out. Price reasonable, but won't go back.

Never eat in greggs but as you don't have much choice in terminal One this was the best there my sandwich was made fresh as they didn't have any left the young girl on the counter was so helpful so will try greggs again

Arrived back from Tenerife with over an hour to wait for our train from Manchester Airport. Looked for somewhere for a coffee and hot snack and saw Greggs. The same good food and coffee at reasonable prices as you get on the High Street.

The cheapest place to get something to eat in terminal 1 but still dearer than Greggs on the high street. There are some tables to sit and eat your pasty but no one goes round clearing or cleaning them so they are full of empty sandwich/ drink cartons and the floor is littered, people should also put their stuff in bins but they are not obvious, with crumbs.

I appreciate that this is a busy location and it is just a Greggs but I nipped in for a coffee the other evening and the floor was filthy with trodden in food, crumbs and spillages. There was only one other person in there and yet every single one of the tables was covered in spilt drinks, crumbs and paper bags too. Absolutely filthy. Greggs need to employ someone to keep on top of the cleaning here, absolutely shocking and not the first thing you want to see when arriving at an international airport.

Just what you need when come back without a decent breakfast. Just called again got wait a while for a train. Sit and watch the world go by.

I visited here one morning. There where 4 staff on duty, 2 were serving and 1 other was busy loading the oven up with products the bake, the 4th seemed to be doing nothing apart from walk around. Hence the queue was terrible. I was served by Michael who seemed pleasant enough and the sausage sandwiches where lovely.

There was a girl called Ellie served us was lovely very helpful but was sad sad to see an older lady manager rude to her staff

I work at the airport and have been to Greggs at T2 arrivals twice. Although the food is bearable, I have been completely put off by the rude staff who work there. Their attitude is obnoxious and they are more interested in discussing their personal social lives than serving their customers with decent manners or at least a smile. I am appalled that Greggs have allowed such poor quality of staff to be operating at these customer-critcal outlets - is this what passengers have to put up with upon arrival at T2? Suffice to say, I will not be coming back to this outlet any time soon and will be advising my fellow colleagues to go elsewhere.

Shocking today ! I ask for a full breakfast baguette this morning to get told i had wait for the baguettes to cool before cutting them when they bin sat on the side for a good 10 mins why i waiting in the que anyway, i ask the women i like my food warm so il have my baguette warm and she looked at me like i had a 3rd head to say she cant cut them its not safe to.... i just walked out at that point ! How can you not cut a baguette coz it tiny bit warm

Stopped of for a pasty and a sausage roll decided to takeaway as we had to catch another flight which was just as well because the food was look warm and not very appetising, also the seating area tables and floors were disgustingly dirty and the whole needed a deep clean not a good advert for any tourists.

Really poor quality latte, even for Gregg's which from my local branch is not bad. I think they were trying to cut down on costs because I got a cup of hot milk! I don't think it went anywhere near the coffee beans!

On a 40 min dinner that took 10 mins to get served I met pat who looked like he was on the back end of an 18 hr shift even though they had just opened went for the rip off £3 baguette asked for a tiny bit of brown sauce it was like brown sauce soup when I started eating it held in between 2 cremated bacon and one grizzly fatty bit that was Luke warm but no choice had to force it down I thought binned it no lunch sick of this place and the Luke warm food ques half way to check in boots meal deal for me from know on or eat my show withought the sauce

Dropped in for a chicken bake yesterday it was luke warm!!!!!! and the cashier almost threw my change into my hand. I know it;s a busy shop and I don't expect a hearty hello when I call . But I do expect a little better than luke warm

It's a Greggs, what do you expect? Well, I expect the server to not look like they hate the world and everyone in it. Maybe they're just annoyed that everyone else is going on holiday but them. Anyway, a smile wouldn't harm.

I use this Greggs a fair bit, pleasant service and nice food well prepared, usually busy but it is in an international airport so expect it but they do serve you quickly

A handy place for both passengers and staff of the airport. The early morning breakfast barms and coffee are a welcome sight in the early morning. Have used Greggs many times for breakfast, lunch or even dinner when working. The prices are fairly reasonable, not the most expensive and not the cheapest either but overall it's pretty reasonable. It's also a welcome sight when travelling back from the holidays and you just want that quick snack to keep you going.

Arrived at airport early, so popped down to Greggs to get a coffee and a snack. Prices where reasonable, and had a lovely coffee and sit down to pass half an hour until we could check in for our flight. Would visit again.

Arrived off a flight this morning, and popped into Greggs for a bacon bap and latte. To my surprise it was only about £3 for both, I've paid twice that amount at other places and it hasn't been as good.
