Gregson Lane Chippy in Chorley

Fabulous fish & chips. Cooked beautifully and served in the little restaurant in front of the cooking range. We've been a few times now, and usually call in on our visits to Preston. Hoghton is about 3 miles South of said city. The food is always piping hot, the fish fried to perfection and the chips delicious with no evidence of fat or oil. Even the mushy peas beat all others. I've eaten F&C all over this land, even in such celebrated places as Whitby's "Magpie", and have never tasted any like Gregson Lane's. It's run by a brother and sister, who are the most pleasant chippy owners I've ever encountered. Oh, and their prices are VERY reasonable!

Had lunch here today for the second time. Our visit was the same as the first... excellent. Fresh fish, cooked to the customer's liking, crisp chips and delicious mushy peas. The chippy is located a couple of miles south east of Preston and is readily accessible. It's very busy and is popular with locals and visitors alike, being run by a very pleasant brother and sister team. Try it... it's a little gem!
