I visited Grilled Cheese Cafe in Andover recently and noticed some concerning hygiene practices. A staff member petted a customer's dog and wiped her hands on her apron before returning to the kitchen. Even though I didn't see if she washed her hands later, the fact that she wiped them on her clothing before potentially handling food was unsettling. Shortly after, another staff member repeated the same action. Ensuring proper hygiene practices would make customers feel more confident and comfortable dining there.

Walked past this place many times and always been tempted but never been in. Took my son (15) in today and was very impressed. Grilled cheese toasties and chips were amazing! Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Would definitely come again.

Epic sandwiches. Ingredients is fresh, cooked and prepared well. Service is polite and fast. Once you have a grilled sandwich from this place you will miss it until the next one. Keep on killing it guys 💪

First visit to this place. Although the toastied sandwich was nice with a good amount of filling there was more of one filling than the other; particularly lacking in bacon, for a bacon sandwich. Fairly comfy sofa but didn't work with the high table. Would have been better with a coffe table. Wasn't the quickest service between ordering and food being unceremoniously dumped on table.

Me and partner just passed by Andover and we saw this cafe. We had both grilled cheese toasties and chips and for the price it was worth it! The chips were big portion and we both just got the large size grilled cheese sandwiches (The castro grilled cheese and Hollywood grilled cheese) and it was very nice! Didnt manage to take photos cause we were straight on eating lol! Cheese was gooey the fillings were good. If you just want a quick lunch and an affordable one might as well try it! They do also english breakfast and teas and coffee but the grilled cheese sandwiches is what i can recommend

I been here many time. Today we came here, as it is my birthday. I'm vegan. They have vegan options on the menu. Today after eating here many time before they told us that the vegan and vegetarian sandwiches are cooked on the same grill with the meat. So it's not vegan or vegetarian...... I'm fuming. Why we haven't been told before and why you offer vegan or vegetarian options on the menu if they are not vegan or vegetarian at all. I don't want my vegan sandwich to soak up meat juices...

We are regularl visitors to this excellent restaurant. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The food is freshly prepared and cooked to order, and tastes delicious.

Large portions and lots of vegan options. Very popular spot. Often the seating inside gets full up but the are about 4 tables outside too.

Tried the all-day breakfast and it was dire! Soggy toast, underdone egg and RAW mushrooms! I have never had such a horrible breakfast and never had raw mushrooms served with one either. Even the so-called hot chocolate was weak and watery and the staff seemed disinterested. Never again.

Was missing the extra bacon. Otherwise excellent.

This grilled cheese sandwich took all of the good things about a burger: perfectly seasoned freshly ground beef, ridiculously flavourful and perfectly melted cheese, smoked and salty bacon, crunchy and powerful flavour of onion tempered by the creaminess of homemade mayo, and got rid of all the bad things like being too big to bite. The bread was grilled to perfection with a tasty crust; no sign of greasiness or oiliness. The XL was a club style sandwich that was just the right size for my massive mouth and belly. All of this at just £7 is simply amazing value for money too! This really is the epitome of keeping it simple but doing it really, really well.

A small friendly cafe that serve super good cheese sandwiches 🥪 the burgers are amazing too. Very Fresh ingredients The serving is generous. Add on the chips and side salad it’s totally worth it. Will we come back again? Yes yes yes! A must. Highly recommend this place to anyone near this area! Especially those on the way to/from Stonehenge. Do a little detour. It worth it.

Missing item, bread was soggy, scrambled egg was weirdly dark brown

The bread was soggy & the cheese was cold & congealed. Seemed as though it had been sat out for a long time. Should be made fresh when the courier arrives. Inedible

Burger was a complete let down, bottom roll was soggy like it had been sitting in water for a week, rest of burger, dry, no sauce and just bland. Well disappointed.. On the plus side, toastie was good as always..

It's just a cheesey sandwich, it can't be that good. Bulls**t! Best grilled cheese sandwich of my life. Every tasty bite forced my hangover further into retreat until I finally emerged, reborn, as a fit and healthy human. This stuff probably cures diseases. 10/10 will be back. No photos because I inhaled it too fast.

Toast was dry the egg wasn't nice either the only thing that actually tasted good was the bacon but I don't know if it's cos all the food was cold

Best cheese cafe ever! We drove 40 miles to eat here because it was highly recommended and I'm so glad we did. The food is absolutely amazing and the portion sizes are so generous, we highly recommend this place

We were all looking forward to having a nice filling breakfast before a family day out. Our lattes were cold, sausages burnt so our children wouldn't eat them. I had the English breakfast, sausage and tomato burnt, bacon nonexistent and mushrooms that were shaved on a mandoline all under copious amount of lukewarm baked beans. Even my toastie was covered in baked beans so very soggy. My husband ordered the American breakfast with loaded chips, the breakfast never turned up, he mentioned it to the staff and they fobbed us off with a slice of stale, dry chocolate cake. My husband finally got his breakfast and again the sausage was burnt and everything covered in beans. A big let down and most of our plans went out the window as we all felt pretty sick. Would not recommend! We didn't even take photos because it was so disappointing!

Terrible . Never turned up. Phoned restaurant an hour and a half after ordering and half hour after eta to be told no delivery driver and to cancel . No update from the restaurant at all and would have just left it and not gave an update had I not got in touch .

Went their for lunch with my family, they have a children's play area upstairs for children which is great and also a couple of tables. There was a misunderstanding about our food order and had to wait quite some time but we got what we wanted for fresh afterwards. The food was delicious and good value for money

We chose this place for lunch on a whim, as we were in Andover for the morning - I'm glad we did! The toasties are just delicious, and such good value too. A definite 5/5!

Would not recommend the nachos - the cheese was like plastic and way over cooked. Not worth the money. The toastie was lovely though.

Had my first Sin City Grilled sandwich, with chips and salad on the side, it was good! However, the mayonnaise on the salad was a lot, I didn't know there will be mayonnaise on it, as it wasn't mentioned in the menu. I prefer if it was optional so we can add the amount we want. I'm more of a ketchup person. Plus, as a southeastern visitor to Andover, we drink the tea with hot milk, so I asked for the milk to be hot, but I was served a cold milk, this puts me off every time I visit the UK, people here can't bother heating the milk for one customer! I could pay extra just to have my milk hot, but they will never heat it up. Also the place was humid and hot, lots of steam was coming from the kitchen, no windows and poor ventilation.

As always, the food is amazing. But 2 stars lost as the Mac and cheese on the side was cold :( Not just cold from delivery but proper stone cold. First time in about 30 orders though so it won't put me off 😂😍

Item missed off order. Restaurant response not to very good. Contact Just eat, don’t have our own drivers. Considering items missed by restaurant would expect them to rectify.

Far better to eat in cafe ordered takeaway/delivery and I'm so disappointed in the food, was cold and unappetizing nothing at all like the food I had in the grilled cheese cafe, lesson learnt sadly, would definitely recommend eating in the cafe

All of my food and “hot” drink were stone cold.

Food was absolutely awful. I'm not expecting 5 Mitchelin star quality. But what an earth was that?? The "scrambled" egg looked like burnt egg whites that had been fried and chucked together. The grilled cheese sandwiches were all cold, meaning the cheese was solid and no longer warm and melty. The hashbrowns tasted like someone's backside after they'd eaten too much from this cafe. Honestly don't think this was worth the money as well, wouldn't even feed it to the foxes.

Milkshske was awful this time had to throw it. Rest was great.

Very disappointed with the breakfast today. The bacon was beyond crispy. The sausage was black on two sides and it was that cold I had to stick it in the microwave to warm it up. Every breakfast I’ve had up to this one has been gorgeous. I will still order from them as everyone has a bad day every now and then. The egg was nice and dippy and a decent portion of beans.

The most delicious food and great service.

Normally really good but today the quality of the food was poor. The beef was rock hard and overcooked, the toasted bread was burnt and the lettuce inside was brown and slimey. Definitely should not have been used! So disappointing as the food is usually lovely.

The breakfast I had today was absolutely gorgeous. Everything was cooked to perfection. The portions are generous. The delivery driver got here really quickly and was pleasant. Overall 10/10

That was absolutely gorgeous. Everything was perfect 👍 The last couple of orders there has been no receipt attached to the orders. Do you keep hold of them. Reason I’m asking is when I have ordered from other places they usually attach the receipt.

I ordered the San Fran grilled sandwich and chips, however I couldn’t finish them both so had leftovers for my dinner too . The sandwich was so tasty , would recommend if you fancy something a bit different to burgers

This was my 2nd time of ordering a breakfast from here.Not so good this time. It took an age for the delivery driver to get to the shop to pick the order up. When this happens you can pretty much know that your food is not going to be hot and sadly it was just on the warm side. I can’t fault the actual food, Egg was cooked to perfection. The sausage and bacon they use has really good flavour. The bean portion is quite small though. If it wasn’t for the food being just warm when it arrived I would have scored it 9 1/2 out of 10. This time I wasn’t given a receipt so I don’t know what happened there?

That was the nicest cooked breakfast I have ordered. Everything was hot, the egg actually had dip. The bacon and sausages actually had a taste. Thank you for that🙏🏻
