Disclaimer. I have never been to this museum. I've been to Poole many times in the past but not for a few decades. So why am I posting a review? See the attached image which appeared on Reddit today and I'm doing my best to distribute the awesome wholesomeness this museum promotes. When I do go to Poole next, this museum will be my first port of call.

If I could give no stars I would. On Saturday, we visited The Bricklayers for drinks around 4 PM. Although the establishment was busy, we managed to find an empty table. While half of our group was ordering drinks at the bar, a woman approached and placed a reserved sign on our table without acknowledging us. When my daughter pointed out that the table was free when we arrived, the woman dismissed her comment and insisted it was reserved. When she returned a third time to ask us to leave, despite there still being half an hour until the reservation, her demeanour was once again discourteous. She addressed my young nephew, implying we needed to vacate. I felt it necessary to address her directly, emphasizing that she should speak to the adults at the table and that her approach was unprofessional and rude. Unfortunately, instead of addressing my concerns, she repeated my words in a condescending manner and attempted to walk away. When I inquired about her name, she identified herself as Abbie and claimed to be the manager, which only heightened my disappointment as I believe a manager should exemplify exceptional customer service. As living local to the area, we wanted to give The Bricklayers another chance, despite our previous experiences with unprofessional staff. After this incident, we decided to visit the newly opened Flamingos. Callum, who I believe is either the host or manager there, greeted us warmly and explained that they were fully booked. He expressed regret that he couldn’t accommodate us and invited us to return another time, which was a refreshing contrast to our earlier experience. Ultimately, we chose to enjoy our evening at the Dancing Moose, where the staff, despite being fully booked, warmly welcomed us at the bar, providing excellent service and delightful cocktails. Regrettably, this unfortunate encounter at The Bricklayers led us to reconsider our patronage, resulting in a loss of potential revenue of over £300. After investing significantly in refurbishing the space, which now looks quite appealing, we have unfortunately had an unsatisfactory experience with one manager. As a result, I cannot say we would consider returning.
