Grounds Café Abbey Gardens in St Edmundsbury

I ordered a decaf latte from this place this morning. A latte on the menu was priced at £3.90. While I was paying, I was told the price was £4.15. I said the price on the menu was £3.90 but was told the decaf latte was more expensive. Not only is that dishonest advertising but actually in my case discrimination as I drink decaf coffee due to my medical condition. Nowhere before has a decaf coffee been more expensive than a normal coffee. I Won't be visiting again.

Happy to see that this establishment is still here. Visited last year and today while in Bury for the Food & Drink Festival. It was lovely to sit and have 20 mins or so after our journey. Everyone enjoyed their drinks, we had a good mixture: mango milkshake, mint choc chip milkshake, vanilla frappe, white chocolate & matcha iced latte, americano, espresso & tea.

Really helpful staff, accommodating dietry requirements. Great variety of snacks and drinks. Best we have tried in town so far.

Got my order wrong and blamed it on me. Did not even apologise.

Great gluten free ice cream with cone. Lots of care taken to prevent cross contamination. Always friendly service

Cup of tea was good. No sandwiches but they did cake which I didn't try.

Lovely place. Delicious soup of the day (courgette with leeks yum 😋). Great coffee. Great almond brownies. Lovely service. Reasonably priced. Great location. What more could anyone want ☺️

Great little place to visit. Reasonably priced and even offer a little treat for your dog if they've joined you for a visit.

Beautiful surroundings and very friendly staff. However, they had failed to update the stand which clearly stated the cafe was closed. Coffee good and sandwich tasty but there were no price listings. Needs addressing.

Nice independent coffee shop and very nice friendly staff. Nice little selection of items to purchase for a quiet drink and snack.

So peaceful, listening to the birds they have in the seating area. A lovely place to relax.

Well located in the Abbey Gardens ovf Bury St Edmunds. Drinks and ice creams are amongst the products available. It is next door to an aviary. Shade is available on sunny days.

Friendly staff. Seating can sometimes be a little dirty. Fair prices - see photos The Garden Café is a kiosk situated in the beautiful Abbey Gardens in the heart of Bury St Edmunds. The Café provides refreshment for all tastes; from a cup of tea and a slice of cake whilst you sit and watch the passers-by … to a selection  of goodies for you to have your own picnic sitting amongst the Abbey ruins. The bean to cup coffees and the tea is Fairtrade and there is also a selection of healthy drinks and snacks should you want to pass on the delicious Whippy Ice cream enjoyed by children of all ages! Next time you are in the Gardens pop by and see what is on offer , and if you are a regular pick up a loyalty cards which you can also use in the Apex Café in the Arc. Good coffee at good prices. Would have got top marks except for the disposable cups.

All of the benches have bird poo on them.

A great place to rest however the Cafe is sometimes very busy. Good food.
