Gusto in Birmingham

A lovely evening in Gusto Birmingham. The dough petals with garlic was delicious and the sea bass divine

Usually like this chain, part of our meal arrived wrong so took time to correct. Staff were attentive but with christmas crowds a few mistakes but was expected. One waitress was particularly kind to our daughter which was lovely.

Food was very tasty. Was easy to get a table on a Sunday evening at 7:30pm. Serving staff were great, especially Paulina our waitress who was very helpful.

Lovely afternoon and evening spent with friends. Shout out to Glenn and Lucas - fantastic service from both.

Glenn and Lucas were absolutely wonderful, fab cocktails, look forward to coming back.

Fantastic bottomless brunch with Glenn & Lucas

I recently visited Gusto with a large party and had a mixed experience. The starters were excellent, and the service stood out—our waiter went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant evening. Unfortunately, the appetizers fell short of expectations. Several guests who ordered medium-rare steaks received them rare instead. While the kitchen did take them back to cook them to the correct temperature, this took a significant amount of time. Additionally, while most of the food came out together, the pizza took even longer than the steaks that had been returned, resulting in us eating at different times. That said, the wait staff were terrific. They apologized sincerely, and the manager offered a discount on the bill, which was appreciated. It’s clear that the kitchen was the primary issue, as the front-of-house staff worked hard to address the problems. Despite the hiccups, Gusto shows promise. With better coordination from the kitchen, it has the potential to deliver a much better dining experience. I’m open to giving it another try in the future.

Had our work Christmas meal here last week and it did not disappoint. Service was on point and staff very attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was of a high quality. The restaurant had a lovely festive feel to it with crackers on the table and plenty of decorations. We were sat in the window so had a great position for our group. Thanks again to the Gusto team for one of the best Christmas meals we've had. Highly recommend, would go again!

Lovely ambience in here, and so classy. Went here for my birthday and recieved a complimentary happy birthday plate with a brownie! Had a free drink with my meal as they had poured extra of the cocktail. Our server Paty was ever so lovely. Would recommend to anyone!

Food was nice but very small portions and bit pricey they charged us 1.00 for charity with out our consent and the waitress was a bit full on Won’t be going back sorry

Waited over an hour for food, when it did come it was the wrong meals. Another half later we got our meals. Food was great when it did come.

Our waitress today was Bianca and she was absolutely amazing! Very funny and good at her job. Food was amazing and a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Staff were so lovely nothing was too big of an ask, we were looked after by Grayce!

Grayce was fab. Was very loud initially. We had a table at short notice and the staff were really kind and helpful.

We love Bianca! One of the best bottomless brunches we’ve been too. Loads of drinks to choose from one the menu: Bianca was ready to get our next drink order for us before we even knew we needed one. Such a great afternoon.

Amazing service one of best waitresses ever had.

Unfortunately the service was very slow. I asked for bread for the meatball starter and was given bread "crisps" when it was cold. I was then asked if I would like parmesan for my Carbonara ... it never arrived. Rather disappointing. They were very quick with the bill, however, which included 12.5% service charge and a "voluntary" donation.

Excellent food and service at all times

We had lovely food, but had to wait for it. Our main course took nearly an hour to arrive from finishing our starters. Despite free glasses of wine we were unimpressed by the tardy service. The wine list is astronomically expensive for mostly ordinary wines. The atmosphere was noisy and it was difficult to hold a normal conversation. Hard floors and a hard ceiling produce reverberation. Not nice...

We had a fantastic lunch - great food and service was exceptional. I must give a shout out to Paulina, she could not have been more attentive. We will be back!

Catered to our individual needs. Food was excellent with the exception of the seasonal greens which were bland and very tough to chew. Atmosphere not ideal with crying baby on the next table and pram pushed up against our table restricting access. As a mother of 4 i do understand but it would be better not to inconvenience other customers.

Paulina was sooo nice and made me feel so comfortable and welcome and her hospitality was beyond amazing

Working away in Birmingham, saw that Gusto was on the Amex rewards scheme, so popped in at 2005hrs on a Tuesday night. Asked for a table for one and was told they aren’t taking any more diners. Walked out and headed to alchemist, that’s when I saw that the other half of the Gusto restaurant was probably around 50% capacity. Pretty poor service and we wonder why the pub and restaurant industry is in trouble. With poor staff, what do you expect. Walked into alchemist and they were happy to get me fed and watered. Hopefully someone senior sees this review and sorts out the poor attitude of staff and their can’t do attitude.

Agnes has been our bestie tonight! Tommy she deserves a pat on the back😇

Fuimos ayer a cenar temprano un sábado por la noche. Estaba ocupado y no teníamos una reserva, pero nos alojamos. El servicio era lento, difícil de llamar la atención de los camareros. Mi amigo y yo pedimos desde la opción “compartir” y nos decepcionamos cuando una sola bola de Arancini fue sacada! Esto fue realmente más una porción “inicial”. Las habituales ofertas italianas para la red eléctrica. Cuando llegó el proyecto de ley, una donación de caridad se había añadido automáticamente sin consentimiento! (Ninguna mención de qué organización benéfica?) junto con un 12. 5 % de servicio que no merecía y no habría dado fácilmente. No volverá a esta cadena, decepcionado. ¡Y los baños estaban sucios!

Fantastic service, we did a bottomless brunch and the drinks came out quickly. Even when we hadn’t finished the ones before they asked for our next order. The food was a good selection including a starter. I’d definitely recommend. We had a great time!
