Awesome takeaway. My dietary needs are a little awkward. On the phone, the lady was very patient, polite and helpful. A couple of times she went and checked ingredients with the chef for me and had some nice suggestions also. The food itself was lovely. Very large portions, very hot and good value. Chickens balls were huge, big pieces of chicken and a different kind of batter, very light and fluffy. There was so much duck in my duck dish, also very large pieces. This is my Chinese takeaway place now!

Soggy crispy shredded beef. OTT garlic in the shredded beef. Coating on chicken balls stodgy and undercooked. Very disappointing, Won’t be ordering again.

Had a delivery yesterday evening. Probably the worst Chinese meal I've ever had. Chicken was tasteless and over-cooked. Nothing had any taste and my 13-year old grand-daughter refused to eat anything once she'd tasted it. One star is 2 stars too many!!

Friendly, efficient service from the staff. Delicious and not overly priced food. What more could you ask for? Definitely check this place out, you won’t regret it.

On the plus side this takeaway is inexpensive. On the down side it only takes cash payment, and its food is poor- particulary the vegetables which were soggy. I ordered beef with green peppers in black bean sauce, and Malaysian curried vegetables. My beef came with generous amounts of beef, but it was slimy and over soft. There were few green peppers- they were at least as many red, both of which were soggy rather than crispy, and the black bean sauce had very few black beans and resembled a chip shop gravy. The Malaysian curried vegetables were soggy, with the carrots being soggiest of all, and the dish seemed to be simply chinese curry sauce with a little coconut milk added to make it "Malaysian". It did not taste authentic at all. Dissappointing.

Find a real Gem of a Take-Away ! Exceptionally friendly, helpful and obliging people offering an amazingly wide variety of great-tasting food served in very generous portions. (I recommend you look at their FULL MENU on line because that shows item numbers and prices for everything which makes ordering easier.) Prices are very attractive by comparison with other East Asian restaurants in the area. They even offer free delivery within 3 miles for orders over £10 - and that covers most of Watford and Croxley Green. The menu is primarily Chinese, but they also offer some Malaysian, Thai and even a few British takeaway choices like fish, chips, sausages, fried chicken and omelettes. Important notes: They are Take-Away ONLY. and they do NOT take cards (But there is an ATM nearby.

Excellent Chinese. Had two set meals between the four of us so got a nice selection. Kids were happy and enjoyed it as usual. Recommend.

Great set menus. The whole family look forward to a Happy Palace takeaway. A great selection on their menus and they always happily accommodate our allergy requirements. Highly recommend.

Great food, generous portions and prices that outstrip everyone in terms of value.

Great Chinese takeaway. The yellowbean chicken is always amazing, as is the crispy seaweed and spring rolls and chicken satay. A bit more pricey than other takeaways, but the food is always amazing. Delivery is always quick. Online ordering is very easy too and updates are given on timing which is useful.

Raw pork mince in our dumplings, totally inedible, and an overall massive drop in quality from used to be a good takeaway. Never ordering again and they won't be in business much longer if this is the slop they're serving. This used to be our go-to Chinese takeaway in Watford... WOW how times have changed! Must be under terrible new management. I wouldn't hold my breath on getting our £45 back (we ordered on Uber Eats so it's a matter I've raised with them, but still) The bad (mostly bad): Pork dumplings were RAW (uncooked, cold mushy pink mince, took a bite and spat it out, we inspected all the dumplings and all were raw inside). Half of the salt and chilli chicken wings were replaced with chicken goujons (which were mostly just pieces of batter). My usual favourite chicken and pepper in black bean sauce was utterly bland and watery and contained no pepper except for one or two small pieces and overall looked like an entirely different dish (it also came with beef instead of chicken, which I'd normally accept as an honest mistake). The egg fried rice was really overcooked mush. The sweet and sour sauce (I think that's what it's meant to be??) tasted of nothing at all, like it was just very vaguely sweet and tasted of nothing else. Same for the curry sauce, very bland and it had congealed. The serving of prawn crackers was easily 50% of the portion we normally get and that is pretty standard from other restaurants. £2 for like 10 pieces of fried batter? I know times are tough for restaurants but they're taking the absolute piss. The few "okay" bits: The prawn toast is totally different to how it used to be, but wasn't terrible I guess. These used to be stuffed full of prawn, now it's typical takeaway fare with hardly any filling and too oily... but pretty standard. Noodles were a little greasy, but again pretty standard for Chinese takeaways (again used to be way better). Mini spring rolls were fine (the only thing that came as expected). Honestly, I could swear this was a totally different restaurant. It is COMPLETELY different to everything we've had in the past and it's a TERRIBLE drop in quality, even if we ignore the raw dumplings. Don't waste your money, this place is clearly not destined to be in business much longer. Real shame because we used to really like this takeaway, it used to be a rare Chinese takeaway that was actually pretty good. Never ordering again. One star for service and atmosphere because it's irrelevant for a takeaway and this is rightfully a 1 star review. Such a shame.
