The food was okay, maybe a bit spicy to our taste. The naan we had was certainly not the best. In summary a bit expensive for what it was.

Best Indian in central Bristol!!

Beautiful indoor setting. Staff very friendly & courteous.The meals were served quickly, were hot & very, very tasty- especially the Chicken Biriyani. Great price too for such exquisite food. A must-go when you visit.

VJ the DJ created the menu and makes absolute fire food! They just expanded menu and it’s a must try. Very good drinks and vibes as well!

I’ve been before and haven’t had a chance to leave a review. Went on Christmas Day and the service was very good. The food tasted amazing too. Will definitely be coming back and would recommend if you are looking for authentic Indian food. The new menu also has a lot more variety and caters to a wider audience. Will be coming back to try more of the new items

Great food and atmosphere on Christmas day

The food was nice and the personal was very polite. They could have chosen a bit more lively music for the Christmas day though. What I didn't like was the service charge. I've never quite managed to undestand why some restaurants use it as it leaves bad taste at the end if not properly announced.

Came for a curry on Xmas day and the service, food, and atmosphere was spot on. Highly recommend, would definitely come back 👌

Portions are big and delightful. Me and my girlfriend and I had a great time, and the service was welcoming.

It's amazing restaurant. We ordered Veg samosa, Paneer pakoda, Dhal palak, Butterchiken, Lamb curry, Methi chiken, Chapati, Garlic naan and Biryani it was fantastic and Delicious😋

What a brilliant dining experience, every dish was incredible and tried some new things as well! Really recommend the Chicken Tikka, Mathiya and the Gulab Jamun was the best sweet thing I’ve ever had! Really friendly staff, nice colourful atmosphere.

I've just finished eating here and had to leave a review immediately. Honestly, this is probably the best Indian food I've ever had, and indeed some of the best food period. Awesome service and a lovely place to eat too! The only downside is that I now need to go to a gig and am so stuffed that I might have to have a lay down on the floor. Wish me luck 😂

A real surprise, fabulous food - well priced!

We loved the food here! Poppadoms were delicious and spicy, curries were delicious, naan bread was so fluffy, authentic flavour and vibe, we will be coming back again!

Absolutely fantastic food! Visiting Bristol for a long weekend from Aberdeenshire Scotland. Having visited India and Sri Lanka many times and having worked on Indian crewed vessels in the Indian Ocean I've grown to love real Indian food. I can honestly state that the food in The Harbourside Desi Kitchen is the most authentic I've tasted since returning to the UK. The food was flavoursome, not sloppy and a credit to the chef! Staff were very attentive and polite. I would recommend everyone to try this restaurant. Just a pity we live nearly 900 miles away so I doubt delivery would be an option lol. Brilliant!

Very unhappy with Indian food for 1 person Jalfrezi, plain rice, garlic naan & chicken samosas £29 all comes pre packed & heated up like any non Indian person could do. Very un authentic food & quality was average if that !!

Popadoms from supermarket, not cooked fresh. Lamb curry like mush. Beware restaurants that claim to be authentic Indian. Pilau rice essentially full of peas and chipped carrot. There’s a reason it was empty on a Friday night

Food is very good as we indian wish its spicy.

They serve food you can buy at Asda for a price that you'd expect a decent Indian takeout. All veg is frozen and as a result, slushy. What kind of "Authentic Indian Restaurant" serves chicken nuggets and pizza samosas? There's a reason why you will often find this place empty, even on a Friday and Saturday night. If you're drunk and just want to consume something with turmeric and star anise, then this place is fine to have a quiet meal. But if you want a good Indian restaurant, look elsewhere.

Not the best lamb briyani I’ve had. The rice has a strange texture with a funny after taste. The accompanying veg curry should be renamed onion curry as it contains not a single veg (other than onion). A little pricey for the below average quality of food.

Excellent authentic food. Order a meat dish, a rice and a naan, that's enough for two. If you are hungrier, order another stew and another naan.

Great service, mixed grill and atmosphere

Good quality starter dishes but that's pretty much it. Main course was extremely bad and the service is awfully slow took us almost 2.5-3hrs to finish dinner. Went there for a friends event. There much better options than this.

Some friends and I ordered different dishes, rice was great, the nan was ok, they didn't have coconut nan, we were disappointed. The chicken curry was delicious, we also got a lentil curry for a no-meat option and we're happy with the choice. The music was nice. We were starving but the service was on point

Delighted with food and service, absolute gem of a curry house.

The food standard and quality is very poor. Food colour is added in all dishes. If you are someone who uses hands to eat, you could still have colour stains at your hands even after washing. Attached are our hands and fingers after having our lunch. The lamb chops were so bright in colour and now we know why, all because of artificial colouring agents. Even they added colouring agents to biriyani. Even after multiple washes, still colour stains remain in our palm and nails. Couldn’t think of standard of colouring agents added and there effects on body. Naan breads are not made from scratch, they taste similar to one we get in Asda, Iceland or Lidle. We have butter masala and it tasted the same as preprocessed food we get in supermarkets. If you are someone who try to avoid artificial colouring agents, and want to taste something really indian, please avoid this restaurant.
