Visited Hard Rock Cafe in Newcastle recently and had a bit of a mixed experience. The service was absolutely spot on - friendly, attentive, and made the visit enjoyable. The food, however, left something to be desired for the price. We had two burgers, a milkshake, a beer, and a coffee, which came to £55. The portion sizes were fine, but for that price, you'd expect something a lot better in terms of flavour or quality. We recently visited Hard Rock Cafe Krakow and there was a big difference in terms of the quality of the food served - the ingredients were of a much higher standard and it all just tasted better as a result. The food in Newcastle was okay but it didn't justify the £55 bill. If you're after great service and a decent atmosphere, it's worth checking out. Just don’t expect the food to blow you away for what you’re paying.

This was our first visit to a ‘Hard Rock Cafe’ & we were certainly not disappointed. We had booked a three night stay in Newcastle which included seeing Les Misérables at the Utilita Arena,we decided to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Saturday night prior to the show the following evening. We received a very warm welcome on arrival & were asked immediately if we had any food allergies. My wife has very recently been tested for food intolerances & has discovered she has to avoid certain foods,this information was passed across to Zoe,our server. From this point onwards we could not fault Zoe’s attentiveness towards us,she went above and beyond our expectations to ensure we felt comfortable dining in the restaurant. She asked my wife what her intolerances were & offered her multiple alternatives. The restaurant had a wonderful ambience,the service was exceptional which was a credit to Zoe & her colleagues. We would not hesitate to return next time we visit Newcastle & would certainly recommend anyone to pay a visit.

We went for my husbands birthday and had an amazing experience. First time coming here and we were seated promptly (not particularly busy) and given menus. Our waitress, Zoe, went above and beyond and was really great! Service was prompt, cocktails were lovely, food was amazing. Only downside was the merch had basically no medium sizes in anything which meant my husband couldn't buy anything, but not the fault of the staff. All staff were lovely and polite. Price was great, too. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Loved my burger, and great service from Amy. But !!! Wanted to buy several pin badges and there were none for sale. A somewhat wasted journey, and a £100 will now be spent elsewhere. Please stock your shop?

Fabulous staff but appalling choice for vegetarians. Why do people think we want processed pretend meat as a burger? Only one other main alternative. Three of us were vegetarian, so we won’t return.

Compramos una oferta wowcher, vinimos un sábado no era tan ocupado. era £ 5 de tarifa cada uno y £ 10 de actualización para los cócteles si elige actualizar, (todos deben actualizar). Morgan era nuestro servidor, ella era fantástica y seguía viniendo por las bebidas. Eran buenos cócteles. La comida me sorprendió mucho el tamaño. era una hamburguesa con patatas fritas. Muy sabroso. Sin duda recomiendo.

Visitó con la familia durante nuestra visita a Newcastle. ¡No puedo fallar nada! Muy buen servicio y comida de calidad. Todo lo que necesitábamos no era un problema en absoluto y nuestras bebidas se recargaron (rellenaron) sin ninguna espera. I went with my partner, daughter and her partner, we had a booking so we didn't have to wait too long to be shown to the table, it was very busy, servers were very friendly, the menu was very good however misleading, we ordered 3 starters but were warned by the young woman said that 3 nacho platters would be far too much so we ordered 2 instead, but again it was too much, the portion was obscene , we received our mains, and we were unable to eat the whole portions, size wise, they were too big for a individual, possibly to share maybe . The onion rings were too big, and the pieces of onion were very large and chewy inside the batter , resulting in one of the party to choke, if we went again, we would try and ask for smaller portions, the amount of food that was left was shameful, l think the portions definitely need to be smaller

Excellent experience of bottomless brunch here. The food was superb the drinks fabulous so much so we are booking to go again. Melanie the waitress was attentive and ensured we had everything to enjoy the brunch. First class.

What a lovely friendly place. We’ve been to a couple of other hard rock cafes but this was by far the most welcoming. Our sever Amy was a very pleasant waitress as were all the other staff who we spoke to. The food was delicious and the restaurant clean and well presented

We attended the restaurant after my son ran the junior great north run as it merged nicely with my mam and dad's 50th wedding anniversary. Friendly introduction to the place and refreshing honesty from the server to say large order had went in before ours so they would be a while in taking our order. Looked at the menu which was limited and at a premium price point. After we all negotiated on something to eat we ordered. The order was a little while coming but as we were told a large order was in we were happy to wait. The food arrived and 3 of the plates were cold and not at all appetising. My mam not one to make a fuss suffered on with hers my wife and I returned ours. We then waited while new plates were prepared however this took until most of our party were almost finished. I got my food and although my chicken was hot they once again at a second attempt failed to deliver edible fries at this point I gave up and just ate what I could. Luckily my wife's second serving was ok. We were on the whole disappointed with the menu and the food. The service was good and the manager did appreciate our concern and amended the bill. Overall charging a premium price and failing to deliver a premium product.

Came for emo brunch, Dorian was absolutely amazing, super friendly and super helpful. They really are a credit to the workforce. Drinks and food were also fantastic. Then song choice really topped it off. 100% will be back! :)

Not worth the money, sadly we had a table of 6 people eating there last night before the Paul Smith show. Service was slow, food was bland and our chicken nachos were cold. Mostly our food order was starters to do a picky tea between us all. One of party had the burger and it that was lovely. Cocktails were poorly presented and made, a cocktail was sent back and it took over 20 minutes to be re-done. Server said that the cocktail in the end would be complementary given the wait, although we were still charged. Really disappointing visit, especially for a Hardrock Cafe as we always visit them when in different cities. We wouldnt rush back for the price & service.

We went on a Saturday early evening meal hoping to beat the rush!! The only negative was being sat right next to a large table who were clearly having a good time. Thankfully they were finishing up and although loud they weren't misbehaving. Music inside was good, service was good and food was good. Bluelightcard discount was an added bonus!!

Love going here but Visited on 17th July (2024) with a Groupon voucher (as we have done before) for bottomless brunch. 18 months ago it was £39.95 for 2 for a starter and main meal but this time it was £45 and main meal only. Although we had a constant supply of wine, the main meal was much smaller than before and was only warm and this, coupled with the lack of a starter, made the experience a little disappointing. I’m sure we will go again but won’t be in a hurry to do so.

The waitress was lovely I’ll start with that from beginning to end and was embarrassed . I have been to maybe 11 hard rock cafes all over the world and also within uk and this I can safely say has had the most disappointing visit and left me feeling annoyed as you usually know exactly what you will get. .so we had 3 adults and 2 kids and had just been driving 3 hours from Scotland and were staying 1 night in Newcastle to break up the journey back down south with the kids . We came here as you know what you will get . The music was like the heaviest metal screaming the whole time and I could see other tables even looking with the same expression as us . Hard rock usually has brilliant music from all eras and it’s what gets all ages in there and makes the atmosphere. This music of heavy metal screeching made me want to pull the plug out . Know your audience or read the room sprang to mind 🙈It was also cold in the restraunt too . So we ordered 2 of the the chicken boneless tenders and I expected nice tenders maybe 6 -7a basket normal tender size but instead were 4 huge lumps of chicken with a bit of batter and not what any of us expected at all . Theres is also just not enough starter choices we all thought . I had the steak and ate maybe 1/3 if that as was pure gristle and my medium /well steak was medium /rare at best and the chips were cold . My husbands steak was less gristle but again cooked wring and cold chips . Our friends ribs were good . The kids had a chicken burger and a hamburger and both tiny in huge buns and we were 1/3 way thru the time my daughters came as the waitress spotted straight away they had put everything on when it was mean to be plain . The dessert menu was underwhelming so I skipped it and had a cocktail which was good .The music screamed through the whole meal and mixed with that , being cold and the food a cold letdown I’d safely say that had the waitress not been so lovely taking my steak off the bill and getting kids a wee toy this review would be worse . It’s just so disappointing going out for a family meal and it was rubbish and ruined the night . You need more starters , better desserts and music like the others and serve the food all together hot and not in 3 different time frames for 5 people . An expensive meal out which left me wishing we had just gone to the Italian up the road we looked at first .

Mark the general manager made me so welcome and the service from his staff could not be faulted. Beer was well kept and they had a great choice. If you are in Newcastle the easy hotel, where I stopped is great value and the Hard Rock Cafe is just around the corner plus it’s clean and tidy and a credit to Mark and his team. This is another excellent Hard Rock Cafe. We had a great dinner in a good atmosphere with excellent service. Natasha looked after us very well. It was just a shame that the discount menu wasn’t on this time. Still great food though.
