Harrods Food Halls in Kensington and Chelsea

Yes the food is displayed in an amazing enticing way. Very yummy looking. But when we wanted to buy 2 breads from the bakery section, the girl behind the counter seriously had no clue what she was meant to do. She was entirely untrained. Didn’t address us. Didn’t help us. Looked grumpy. She looked scared even, avoiding our gaze. Until her colleague took over. Please train your new staff better before letting them loose. Because this wasn’t it. Bread was very nice though and actually reasonable priced at £6 per bread. (I paid £3,70 for just a danish at Starbucks that morning.) This was on Friday 29th November

I paid £8 for a steak & stilton pie. It was extremely disappointing. Very thick pastry, not a hint of the stilton and completely tasteless. You would think a pie from Harrods at this price would top one from Morrisons, but no. Half the price from Morrisons is miles ahead.

The manager at the Dim Sum named Dep Gurung was very unprofessional when we addressed that one of the staff named Monika charged us the wrong bill. They expected us to pay for our actual bill and made it difficult for a refund process and couldn’t accommodate a plan of action for their mistake. The food was good but the service was very poor and unprofessional. I would not come back again mainly due to the level of poor service I witnessed today. It was very frustrating and time consuming.

Amazing ambience, great food, incredible staff plus great live shows. Couldn’t ask for more!!!

Can be very chaotic on the weekends. Be patient and make sure to order your food without taking too much time. Gymkhana stand is the most popular.

I booked Dim Sum by China Tang for my husband’s birthday - it was our first time experiencing food at the Harrods dining hall as we have dined at the China Tang restaurant in the Dorchester which was beautiful. Firstly we ordered two bottles of coke and even though I specifically asked for ice in a separate glass, the waiter served us two big glasses filled with ice, even though he double checked with us before going to the bar. We ordered another coke and why am I not surprised - it was half the amount!! If the waiters or waitresses are unsure, what is the harm in asking. Secondly after ordering a variety of dim sum dishes and two main dishes: Schezuan chicken + egg fried rice and Fried rice with Prawns we had a few spoonfuls and asked for the food to be packed for takeaway - we paid our bill and forgot to take our takeaway boxes thinking they may have been moved to the bar or at our table - we stepped away for less than two minutes to the bakery section to buy cake for our family - I quickly remembered the takeaway boxes and went back to ask for them thinking the attentive staff would at least wait for 5 mins or so. But to my dismay one of the waitresses who was helping us throughout the evening, Monica told me by directly laughing at me that the food isn’t there. I was shocked and confused having said I left only two minutes ago and her reply to me was I’ve thrown it in the bin, I said it can’t be and she had a smirk on her face and continued to laugh and tell me if you want it it’s in the bin. Speechless. My husband and I were at the bakery section paying for cake and one of the new managers, Jack kindly overheard our conversation and kindly offered his help and time to speak to the duty manager. He told us to wait for an hour, took my details and two freshly made dishes were prepared without the egg fried rice were provided to us by the duty manager Sam, thank you.

Fish and chips and lobster roll are just ok, not so delicious. Ambient is good. Avoid peak hours or reserve seats in advance would be recommended.

I liked the honeycomb cake and I also got tomato soup and a free bread which I liked.

They need to have proper microwave and tables 😡😡

Honestly not worthy the money. I do understand that we are in London but this is too much. The wine selection also just target to people who doesn’t know about wine but only have the money. A mediocre luxury

The food hall is packed with great quality items and a great place to dine or stock up on some great food, to dine at home or take overseas. The wraps are exceptional good value, freshly made and filled to the brim. People presume it's overly expensive but the quality is exceptional and well worth paying a little extra.

Overated, I've gotten better food at sainsburys. Wont go again. The atmosphere was really unwelcoming and uncomfortable. i was going to have a meal, but I didn't due to this. Didn't regret going elsewhere.

A diverse Indian, Japanese and Italian restaurant in one place that serves food according to the person’s choice in boxes. There is no place to eat inside. The service is excellent and fast.

Very nice atmosphere and a choice of beautiful and delicious premium products, here you can find literally the best of the best and try cuisines from different parts of the world. I liked the balaganush, samosa and mini hotdog set. I also take chocolate-covered cherries and strawberries as a gift more than once.

Good but expensive food. Lovely staff. Some pompous customers, but not always. I really enjoy the rotisserie. That is 5/5

Bustling delicious touristy but not terrible. Fun way to experience Harrods. Don’t sleep on the naan wrap from Gymkhana.

Bought from the patisserie section last month and they were sliding around in the packaging. Went again today and the staff damaged one of them and it was sliding out of the box in the bag but still tried to simply wipe the card box then gave it back to me until I asked for a new piece. Returned home and realised our box was mixed with another order, we bought 2 yet only received one, a wrong one— Victoria sponge with a mouldy raspberry.

Loved the Harrods Food Hall. It was well priced and extremely tasty! Weirdly cheaper here than similar items would babe been in Edinburgh. I’ve no doubt you’d be able to pay hundreds but not for normal Stuff.

Great place to visit, very tasty food, lots of choice, but very busy. The disadvantage is that there is little parking space in the area and you cannot eat on site. What you buy, you have to take with you and eat outside.

We don't live in London but when we are up in town we like to stop for a coffee and a slice of honey cake. The staff here are excellent. The lady that served us made our small order seem like a huge order. She was super attentive, checked for any allergies, friendly and approachable. It would be easy for staff to go through the motions in service delivery as the store is a big draw, not so from what I saw today .

It was way too crowded. The food we had was alright; my son got the beef at the rotisserie and after eating half of it, he found a hair. My food was okay, but nothing to make me go again or recommend.

Always wanted to go here. We bought Rotisserie Chicken with broccoli This was alright and somewhat dry but good thing they have gravy when I went Chinese Noddles with Chicken This was alright as well Dessert area which I forgot the name but there eclairs and banoffee pie really tasted great Bought some drink as well at the fruit corner Its nice coz there is a lot of selection but its kinda stressful coz its really crowded

Best food halls and restaurant with very good foods, must visit any try.

Various options, delicious and clean. I loved it.

Whilst every dish and food on offer looked more appealing than the next, I must admit the experience felt overall rather disappointing: - the lights in the food hall are dimmed which does not make it very easy to read the labels and identify what the dishes are thus giving the impression of buying food in a nightclub - the food hall was extremely busy and there was absolutely no queueing system in place, so do not be surprised to see individuals jumping the queue despite others waiting for the best part of 10 mins for their turn. You will also be shouted at by fellow customers if you dare challenging their queue jumping tricks. - If you purchase food to be consumed hot it will be warmed up in the microwave - There is no dedicated sitting space either for the food to be consumed on the premises so you will need to find a bench in the street or walk to the closest open park, by which time your hot food will have gone cold. Quite frankly Harrods, your food hall experience is a far cry from what one would expect when purchasing food from such an high end store. You have fallen victim of your own success and do not seem to value customer experience that much!

Being in Harrods is simply an experience every single time. Something different and free. The dining is just haaaa. It's the best place for the best drinks I have had so far. ✨️

Since I was kid always I go with my late mother to Harrods .. and is a must visit the food hall in Harrods is amazing so many delicious foods and drinks.. wonderful decor and beautiful atmosphere also nice ambiance too so elegant.. quality food .. nice also for imaging the Victorian and Edwardian culture is here to stay … is a must to visit the Harrods Food Hall

I just took half a grilled chicken for 10 pounds, and before I took a small chicken for 10 pounds, the place is luxurious and contains the bounties of God Almighty. I wish someone would deliver it to the hungry in this world, especially the hungry Muslims everywhere. Harrods food hall has great food. I love their Caesar salad. Some stuff may be overpriced (that’s Harrods), but they do sell some items that are a great deal. Highly recommend for food, snack and take away meals. Their olive sticks are also great!

I love it! The food is 10/10, just a chef’s kiss! I have salad mix and match for 💷3.5 100g which is little bit pricy, the food is fresh and flavorful though. So I recommend pick what you like and share with someone go with you, therefore, you can have as much as possible in case of waste. Staff is friendly, and busy though. The overall atmosphere is great. The dark decor makes everything look fancy.😄 However, the worst thing is there’s no place to dine in. I have to find a place outside on the street. It’s embarrassing to eat fancy meal(according to the price) with gust wind and light rain.

The food was great, but there is no place to sit and eat. We got food from the Chaisan and Gymkhana stalls, and were told to go outside to eat. Outside there was only a singular bench, but a food truck and seating for chaisan. We tried to sit down there, but was told to leave. Quite ridiculous to sell hot ready to eat food but expect people to stand on the street and eat as many were doing…

Bought £50 worth of sweets at Harrods Food Hall. I didn't get a bag to carry the whole thing out, unless I paid £5 for a "Harrod's jute bag". Great principle of letting paying customers still pay for their purchases. A very friendly lady from "Ladurée" Paris gave me a free bag.

An amazing food hall for selection, it was hotter than the sun in there though which did let it down a touch. But some people would prefer it warmer I guess.

Although a bit expensive, the selection and quality is excellent. There’s a great variety of foods without it being overwhelming, and everything is beautifully presented. The prices are a bit premium but not too bad, and both the baked goods and sandwiches we tried were good quality.

I got sick from eating the brioche trio. Non stop diarrhea and vomiting.

There is a large selection of bakery, snacks, chocolates etc at the foodhall. Loved the wide selection of pastries and cakes - super fresh and very tasty. Loved their pistachio cake and honey cake is an all time favourite! It’s always super busy and there is no place to sit down and eat if you takeaway from bakery and cakes section.

I was so excited for my first visit to Harrods and thought the food area was amazing. A friendly woman waited on me at Pasta Evangelists. Unfortunately she overcooked my pasta and when I got home, it was chewy and inedible. It was a cool place, but my pasta was so awful that I wouldn't eat pasta there again and would be hesitant to try elsewhere in the food hall. 1/5 stars, sadly.

Saw on TikTok the rotisserie which looked pretty good. Arrived, queued and got told to come back in 30m. Came back in 30m, paid for 2, was not fresh chicken, the lady pretty much picked up weird scraps from somewhere and began cutting it. Probably like 20g of chicken maximum lol. Avoid the rotisserie. Got some suimai which was ok. Avoid the strawberries as they taste worse than Tescos, have no problem paying the odds for something but totally anticlimactic experience

I haven’t been here for almost 10 years, things changed so much mostly in a worse way. Still, cake was good though.

I reccomend buying the Napoli salami, it is very well priced, i got 100 grams for 3.50 pound and the salami taste amazing. the tender rich flavour is brilliant....... I also bought a nashi pear which is exclusive to southern china... I haven't tried it yet, fingers crossed it is tasty....

There is a cafe that serves good coffee and tea and some pastries in the Food Hall. I like how the cafe is almost like a bar. The high tables wrap around the barista area, so you basically see how things are prepared, how the staff interacted with the diners and so on. Also, it is centrally located within the food hall area so you can just see other shoppers do their shopping. I would say a perfect place to pause and take a breather from the shopping.

An array of beautifully fresh treats for Lunch and also snack options. Presentation is second to none. Great novelty edible gifts all decadently stacked and shelved. I felt like I was a Kid in a Toy shop. Prices reflect quality of products so be prepared if you decide to get carried away.

The pistachio cake was heavenly good! Not overly sweet and has a very strong nutty pistachio-y taste. Considering normal central London prices for pastries, £5.5 for a big slice is fair I’d say.

This Friday I bought roast chicken in your roster place. The staffs are not polite and the handling of the food is not hygienic. Harrod had tradition of service at highest quality but it is declining now. Please maintain your standard

The food here isn't of great value... The croissant was bad... It was not flaky at all and had to texture of loaf bread... Harrods had great atmosphere but the food hall just felt like a rush. Service was very questionable and the people really didn't want to serve you...

If you come out of the rain there is no way to hang up the completely wet jacket. Went straight back. If prices are horrendous, then please also provide corresponding service!

Large selection of different dishes. Attention, eating on site is not possible, you have to take the food with you. Price-performance ratio is good.

Good selection of food to take away and dine in. Lovely coffee spot opposite the bakery - great for a quick espresso, staff professional and polite. Very disappointed with the lady at the till near the bakery this evening though. Rude and unprofessional, not willing to help with enquiries and asking the next customer to come to the till before I had even paid. I am sure she looked forward to finishing her shift but being rude to customers is off putting.

I go to harrods every couple months for my slice of chocolate cake from the food hall. I went there today and they stopped doing slices of cakes on demand. I went to the fridge where they said they stored the cake and the fridge barely had any cake slices. Went to the counter to ask if they could cut me a slice he declined and I asked a member of staff if they had any in the back he said he does not know. Needless to say I won’t be back to waste my time. The old system I always managed to get a slice, the new system sucks

Harrods in total was ok but the Food Hall was amazing. You can get food for exorbitant prices but for low prices as well. We can really recommend the pastry section and self services bakery section, we loved the scones and cronuts.

Surprisingly great range of pastries. Fair price but excellent quality. Different combinations of flavors, rarely seen on the market. Went on the busiest period before Christmas, however the staffs were very patient and friendly.

Love!!! I stayed in an airbnb about a mile or so from Harrods. I ate many meals from the Food Hall, they have everything!!! Fair prices and very high-quality options. My favorite was building my own salad 🥗 😋 Many toppings to add! Between Pret and Harrods, I saved bunches of money and had excellent meals!

Bin hier das zweite Mal und ich mag es hier einfach. Es gibt sehr viel Auswahl und immer wieder was Neues auszuprobieren. Preise sind akzeptabel. Waren am Boxing Day dort und es war rappelvoll.

We came by on Christmas Eve to pick up The Boxing Day sandwich. It was really busy with lots of people but that was expected for Xmas. It was early and they didn’t have any turkey left for the Sandwich and offered ham instead. That tasted actually better. Also managed to get cakes to go which were great.

Insanely busy. They will prepare food items to eat but they do not offer any place to eat it. An absolute crush of people when we were there, so it was very uncomfortable to look around. We had to fight our way up to a counter to order. Weird setup for paying for the food, too. The vendors might make more money if people could actually have the space to look around. Maybe consider timed entry to the food hall to help with the unbearable amount of people in the space. We’ll never go back.

Salmon avocado, Yellowfin, and more… You should come here for Japanese lunch. The Harrods food halls always guarantees a great time. 🥰

If you are planning to go to Harrods expect very expensive and okay food. Food: it was good nothing that surpassed my expectation but it was good enough. Fresh and tasty. Atmosphere was great and location was okay. Service: horrid! Timing was great. Food came on time and we never waited too long. Staff however was the biggest let down. Our server greeted us with; “wow you look very exhausted”…and kept repeating that we needed something to make us look happy as again we look very tired and exhausted. He continued on with this a few more times. We stopped listening to him and just placed our order. The other staff came to check in and we asked for the bill this took forever. Waited 15 mins for the bill. I do realize we are paying for the name. Lesson learned don’t follow the hype just go somewhere else. Better food and service.

i got the christmas ciabatta, lovely turkey and trimmings with a pig in blanket on top. they didn't really heat it up enough - but was pretty tasty
