Stunning service on my wife's 60th. Food was great and the bill for 10 very reasonable. I would highly recommend this Harvester

This was a Christmas dinner so a special time for us. The starters were very nice but the Christmas dinner was spoilt by greens you couldn't cut as the were rock hard. There was no roasted parsnips a favourite of mine, comsidering it was on the menu that was advertised when booking,when we complained the waitress she was going to get the manager! What for? He/She clearly doesnt check if food is cooked before giving it to the customers!The gravy was just water.The rest was OK.and the pudding were OK but for £200 odd pounds i paid it was a complete let down and no where worth the money.This was a first for us in 20years to give my wife a break from xmas cooking. They did bring new greens the broccoli was a bit better the sprouts were nearly raw and on the way out another group was say the same thing, I was tempted to advise them to just eat and not complain otherwise they would get the manager! Not good at all harvester.

Went again last night and place has gone back to its previous sub standard state .tables move closer to cram more people in and food was shocking, chicken so dry it was inedible , ribs were awful . all 4 of us left food and decided it wasnt worth risking a pudding. Wont be returning

Nice friendly staff and a good central meeting place for families who live all over the area. I've been meeting family from Brum here for years. Great parking and food is good honest grub for all budgets. One of the best Harvesters I've been to.

The food was incredible and has been every time I have been there. The newly added corn bread is delicious 😋 Cant wait to go back soon 😄

Awful service. Rude, unhelpful, and confrontational staff and false advertised desserts. Would give 0 if I could. I’ve raised an official complaint so not explaining everything here, but a £200 3 course meal for 6 people was ruined over a waffle dessert and a manager’s attitude and discrimination (“This is Britian [not Ukraine]”). For the same price, go to another tastier independent restaurant.

We went for a family lunch (6 people), the service was poor, the waitress wouldn’t come to the other side of the table to take my order but would make me scream instead. She also didn’t listen carefully and made us repeat what we wanted to order on several occasions. When it was time for a dessert, I ordered an option "Mini dessert + Hot drink", and I picked a hot chocolate and a "Banoffee waffle". I was served one spoon of ice cream with no bananas, one tiny piece of waffle (3x3 cm max), and a bit of toffee sauce at the top. There was no plate and the ice cream was leaking on the table. When I asked for bananas and a little plate, and asked why I was served an ice cream when I ordered a waffle, the waitress called the manager. The manager kept saying that this is the mini version of the "Banoffee Waffle", and this is how it comes, but THERE WAS NO WAFFLE, just a little piece of it. I said on multiple occasions that my issue is not the size of the dessert, but the fact I was served something I didn’t order. She said "well order something else then", and after I said "I don’t want anything, thank you", she said I am being rude and she will ask me to leave if I keep saying what I am saying (which was politely explaining why I am dissatisfied with their service). Absolutely horrible experience. My whole family was shocked. If I could give this place a zero I would.

After our visit to your astablishment I have to say its the waist meal i have had the misfortune to have to pay for we arrived and seated at 13.45 on the 24th of November after our order was taken it was nearly an hour before we had our food brought to us by which time my harvester 1983 was stone cold which i refused to except and had to wait neary 20 minutes for it replacement My daughters smashed double burgers was so dry she struggled to cut the burgers my wife's pasta and spinage was tasteless and the sauce killed what ever taste was there As for the server if I can call him that he was totally unitive I ask for knifes and forks and I was totally egnored to the point the customer next to me offed me her spears from her table he's even forgot my wife's drink there for I will not be visiting any of your establishments again what awaist of £114.80 Name and address and phone number below Your disappointingly Mr Cook

On entry had to wait a while to get seated, but eventually got shown to our tables by the lovely 😍 waitress. (Pity she wasn't our server for the night). Anyway I digress, we were given the menu and asked for our drinks orders after we had finally chosen our selected meals. Then our server said she'd come back with our salad bowls which she finally did and we tucked into the unlimited salad bar to get our Halloween 🎃 feast started. For my main I opted for the full rack of ribs, with cubes of corn bread with sliced jalapeño chilli's (too hot 🔥 for me) fries & the rainbow 🌈 Coleslaw. This meal was like standard pub grub fayre you'd find in any harvester or hungry horse establishment! But we all know they can be done very good or very very bad. In this case @ the London Road Wheatley Harvester, it was very very good.....the main was delicious and I finished every last morsal & was almost licking the plate.....the ribs with bbq sauce were done just right & the corn bread was filling and good too. The fries were of a good consistency (we should have ordered an extra portion to share) but nevermind....something for next time. After a few pints of peroni had gone down the hatch, it was time for dessert 🍨. I asked our server which was the most popular one and she replied the Rocky Road one with the brownie in the bottom. So I opted for that and it was delicious 😋. You need to have a sweet tooth for this one really though. I will definitely be coming back as its been years since my last visit and one of the waitresses took my eye too. Like I said the one who seated us....a slim thick type who had a visible tattoo on her back thro her nice uniform.......if she reads this my ig is mel_fernandes1.....pls feel free to slide into my dms!!

What used to be a great family friendly restaurant as gone downhill. Cold food, burnt items, salad bar unfresh and definitely not value for money. Super disappointing .

Place is OK, stuff is terrible tho, got to sit with my partner at the bar for dinner, when there where 15 tables empty(apparently all booked and one side was closed they said) no one cares of cleaning dirty plates from tables for hours) yet they just sitting around talking and having coffee, girls doing nothing young lad only one working, food on the other hand was good 👍🏻

Steaks were overcooked, chicken was really dry and the only thing that was nice was the chips and the salad. Only went to harvester as my daughter requested to go there for her birthday even though i told her the food isn't good there she still wanted to go for the salad. I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK

Very unhappy with the visit no chicken cooked then ordered steak asked for medium rare came back well done when told server took food away came back no more ribeye left severe however was excellent apologise to nearly every table felt so sad for her

Friendly and kind staff, with good menu selection and good food

They had eggs but not scumbled for my baby!!Also we couldn't find anyone to order, they came after 25min.The table was reserved but there was no sign ,so we had to eat in only 30 minutes..Also there was flies around the salad bar!!!

The waitress we had was superb, very informative about food, happy and engaging. Haddock was gorgeous

Service was very slow, food was barely warm, Burger was like eating apiece of cardboard. High prices poor quality won’t be Returning.

Went to the Harvester with a group, served by Lucy who was a really friendly, professional server. Her professional and friendly approach was so lovely to see. We have been served by Lucy before and I also gave her a good review due to her good service but I heard she never received the thanks from her bosses. This time I spoke with the duty manager and told him the next time I visit Iwill check that Lucy has had my review passed to her. I think it important that management do pass on good as well as bad reviews. Lucy it is always a pleasure to be served by you and your friendly, professional approach to people is lovely to see. Had to wait 10 mins on a Monday afternoon at 1.55 visibly not busy (i wonder why) get seated, great, order taken, great. Head to the salad bar, which nowadays is a joke in itself, why fix what wasn’t broken? Half the items missing including something as basic as coleslaw. Sit down, usually the food arrives before you’ve even finished your salad bowl, well that was long gone and basically digested before the food came. 50 mins sat waiting for 3 lets face it half plates of food. Pretty sure these must have been sat on the pass for 20 mins was starting to think you had to collect it yourself. The half (i’m being generous my plate was like a childs plate size) of food was tepid at best and my burger was as tough as old boots (I am only 30 forgive me for sounding like an elder) genuinely was about to just get up and leave pointless paying for drinks and half a salad bowl. Won’t be visiting again for a long time, just glad i wasn’t paying full price as £60 woulda been a right laugh. Livid

Great place for dinner with the grandchildren. Good selection on the kids' menu and the adult food is good as well. I particularly liked the salad bar, which had a great selection of excellent salads. Prices are reasonable too, so it makes for a good evening out.

Service took too long, food wait time was awful. Family celebration ruined. Cold inedible burnt food ( one plate even cooked by the manager) no thought for the wait times for our autistic children mentioned on the booking form. Sticky tables and walked out hungry ! Never again

We stopped for lunch on our way from the Tractor Festival. The food has not disappointed us as we dine at Harvester pretty frequently. However, that’s where it ends. The desserts were not as advertised: our sundae waffles were simply big portions of ice- cream with cone sticked into it-mini portion was just a blop of ice-cream… The place was dull and needed TLC, there was also a funny smell in the washrooms. The staff looked like it was their first day on the job, and we had to attract some attention to be served, and then when we wanted to pay, we were tired of waiting so made our way to the bar to pay there. The place looked understaffed, and whoever was on table duty did not seem interested / well trained. We’ve seen our food being sat for circa 10min on the kitchen worktop, ready to be served which has not brought us much confidence in the waiting staff interest. We won’t be back to this place.

Nice food (chicken skewers) but took 45mins to arrive when the place was less than half full. Sat in the bar section. No beer mats which always bugs me.

I normally attend this harvester but after this visit would not go back and not recommend. The food was cold when arrived and when I complained the chips came back hot but the rest of the food was call,

On holiday, waiting to be seated slow and not very busy. Girl who showed us to table not very friendly. Young lad friendly but very slow getting Drinks and took along time and ordering food very slow. Food was delicious and value for Money.

Sadly the experience was not good.. The Salad bar and the Nachos were the best. The breaded mushrooms were awful and full of oil.. Our main meals consisted of dry ribs, vinegar tasting slaw, and cold chips.. My Husbsnds was slightly better in that he could eat his mushy peas, and the haddock inside the greasy batter, he also left his cold chips..it would seem either the standard has fallen at The Harvester.. we honestly used to enjoy the odd meal there as we live in the village...so I'm sorry to have to write this review..

We arrived for our table to not be ready, so was told to wait in the bar area. There was no member of staff in the bar area so we couldn't even get a drink. There were dirty dishes and glasses all over the bar. We were also a bit annoyed that we didn't have a courtesy email or phone call to say that they only had a limited menu. There didn't seem to be enough members of staff either so I can't imagine how long we would of had to wait for food. We went elsewhere which is a shame as we used to love coming to the Harvester

Service was great even though staff were working in difficult situations with lots of complaints. A lot of the food was unavailable due to delivery problem. Wish we had been advised of this before hand (had booked table in advance) so we could have made alternative plans as this was for a birthday celebration. Wait for service and drinks was quite long.

Went for dinner last night for hubby’s birthday. Was seated straight away on chairs that were torn or just foam, they clearly need upholstering or replacing. We were seated straight away, and placed our order within 10 minutes of arriving. An hour and a half later we got our food, it was revolting. Pork belly was so burnt you couldn’t even cut through it with steak knife, pulled pork not sure what that resembled and the burger had a very strange taste! Mixed grill and Ultimate combo also were not good, everything was very overcooked and very dry. Majority of food was left (in fact we took home the meat for the dogs!). When I spoke to manager discreetly away from our table she told me she’d already taken £75 off our bill before we even discussed the quality of food, so she was clearly aware it was substandard. I had a pleasant conversation with her and she agreed to waiver our bill completely without me suggesting a further discount on what she’d already said she’d deducted. The people on the table next to us were much more vocal about their complaints. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning. Our waitress the lady with the tattoos and the manager were both very nice and can’t complain on that front but for basic chain restaurant the food was terrible and a very disappointing experience. McFlurry’s on way home were the best part of the evening.

We went for my son's birthday. Food wasn't , great accept for salad bar, that was lovely. The mushrooms were battered and in old oil and soggy. The food was dry and over cooked. Our waiter was incredibly rude and came across like he just about to quit and walk out. I was so disappointed as we love harvester ,maybe it was an off day for them, I also had to call one of the waitress to one side as all the toilet cubicles in ladies were usable. As disgusting. Such a shame. I tried to find a manager to speak to but couldn't find them.

My first visit. Being a nationwide chain restaurant, it was exactly what I expected. May have been to one in the past, but really cannot remember. The food and choice of drinks was fine and reasonably priced. Waiting staff were friendly.

Been here twice now and the staff simply can't seem to be bothered to open up on time. Leaving 20mins later and still not open.

Such a friendly waitress so helpful. Food wasn't the best but as expected. Lots of salad though and all priced well. Best of all it was air-conditioned on the hottest day this was a godsend.

The restaurant was almost empty and there weren’t any staff by the entrance or bar to greet us. We got treated horribly rude with an attitude after a long waiting. NOT recommended!!!

Our waitress was fantastic and our food was delicious spoilt by the immature behaviour from the younger members of staff totally unprofessional at one stage it felt like we were in a playgroup in a restaurant most offensively threatening behaviour from one member of staff towards another this was witnessed on two occasions Unforgivable

The first time we have been to this Harvester, the restaurant is very well set out and was very clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly and professional, the food was well cooked and well presented, it was altogether a great experience and we will not hesitate to return next time we feel like a meal out. Most of the food was excellent. Except for my treacle sponge and custard. The bas of the pudding was cold and hard also we ordered battered mushrooms and garlic dip. There was excess oil within the batter which was off putting. The waitress who served us was first class and very professional

I came in with my partner tonight for dinner and was served by Carolina. She was warm, welcoming and attentive. This was the first time we had been served by Carolina and she left a great impression. We hope to be served by her again when we next visit.

Brilliant service, food was amazing! And also not a long wait for it! Blonde haired girl with pony tail with tattoos on her arm was so lovely, very friendly and always there when needed. Fab service!

Booked to stay at the Travel Lodge and were delighted to find a Harvester attached. We had dinner (tea) and it was fabulous. Our server Sophie was amazing and looked after us brilliantly. The Mrs had scampi and I had the Ultimate Grill....and ultimately failed. Food was delicious and plentiful. I would definitely come back and hope that I served by Sophie again. She was sad with us that we don't have a Harvester anywhere near us.

We had a lovely meal, so tasty and so full when we finished. It makes such a difference to the whole experience of dining out when you have really good service too. Sophie was attentive and cheerful, nothing was too much trouble. We’ll be back.

Ordered 1983 combo, food arrived warm after been sitting on the pass for a while (l suspect)found out after we paid we were served the "original combo"

Service was terrible. We waited over 10 minutes for staff to seat us. They sent us to a table that was dirty, still had plates on it and had 3 chairs but we required 4 chairs. A member of our party stood for 5 minutes at our table whilst staff found another chair. The waitress forgot our drinks order twice, and it took over 20 minutes to get our drinks. When dinner arrived, 1 member of our party received the wrong meal and had to wait another 10 minutes for the correct meal to be made as the waitress submitted the order incorrectly. The worst meal was the fish and chips. It was dry, overcooked and hard.

Food OK. What you'd expect from a harvester restaurant. Salad bar probably the highlight. Too dark inside and no atmosphere. Nothing to write home about.

Went here as it was a great halfway place to meet with family for a celebration. Probably just picked a bad day, but I came here previously a week before Christmas with friends and experienced delays then too. Maybe too many customers and not enough cooks, but the 2 hour wait for main courses and the resulting bits of our meal that were lukewarm and dry (which had clearly been keeping warm for a long period) pretty much spoiled our get-together. The passive aggression from the stressed out waitress didn't help either. Won't take the gamble of going here again.

The staff were helpful, the food was tasty and the 40 percent off deal with extremely good value. The chicken was well cooked and the flame grill tasted lovely. Also really loved the kicking garlic sauce

Great food and a great price, our server, Toni Jane was attentive and friendly. The team were very welcoming and busy.

I visited the restaurant on Father's Day. The restaurant was super busy and the service was very slow but the food was amazing. Very negative experience that the person in charge was constantly shouting at the members of the kitchen. However, I asked to know who prepared my dish and it was Chef Nina. She is to be congratulated. It is unacceptable for a manager to show that he has lost control and to constantly shout at his colleagues. This should be fixed immediately.

Came Sunday morning not open although website says it was.

We love the Bridge Harvester. We have been coming here for years and rarely have any bad experiences. Posh nosh it isn't, but if you like BBQ meat and salad then this could well be for you 😁

We were seated straight away with a window seat. The room was bright, but it could definitely do with some TLC. Several areas needed painting, and the walls by our seat had flaking paint and plaster. The food arrived promptly, was well presented, and tasty. The salad bar was full and looked great. Our haddock and chips were lovely. There's a good choice of drinks.

It's a Harvester, good Salad Cart and good value main courses.

Visited with friends and family on Sunday. The manager seated us and we were looked after by Lexi. She was very smile, friendly and patient as our young guest was struggling to choose his food. We were sat down and waited 40 minutes. No one took our order, despite trying to ask one of the waiting staff whether it was table service or not (we’ve been to harvester before and know that we’ve been served at the table before) We ended up walking out after 40 minutes as we had two tiny toddlers to feed and it was frankly terrible service

Just visited this pub ordered food but it took 37 minutes to arrive but we questioned the time in which the food took to arrive the manager came over to speak to us but he is incredibly rude wouldn't let us talk we simply just asked why we wasn't told about the wait when ordering the food but the manager wouldn't let us talk and to be honest based on his behaviour we asked for the bill payed and left, all we wanted was to be told about the wait when ordering but this want the case customers are always right but on this occasion apparently we were in the wrong so we will not be returning

We are frequent visitors of this Harvester and it’s a shame to say after this visit we won’t be returning. With a partner in the restaurant business knowing the standards of the way things should be done, and having visited various restaurants together around the country, this was a bad experience. We frequently visited as a comfortable place for us with our young children. We ordered starters and for our child’s main to come alongside those so it was cool enough for him to eat with our mains. They came out and his was cool which we thought “oh that’s brilliant, they’ve made sure our little one can eat straight away”.. Seconds later we were told our mains are also ready as they’ve wanted to rush our food out so they can go home, and brought those over when we hadn’t begun our starters. These were also borderline cold. As a paying customer coming out for a nice relaxed family meal, this caused stress for us feeling rushed to eat our food before it all were to go cold, which it already was, and trying to make space for our child not to grab anything with all of the full plates on the table. My partner spoke with the new general manager, who we felt handled it amazingly, although we could see and hear the “telling off” and also so could others in the restaurant, which should have been dealt with in a more private setting away from customers. We were offered our meals cooked again, or 50% off the bill, we chose the second option as we wouldn’t trust the food after complaining as you hear the horror stories with doing that. We also didn’t order our child a pudding for that reason. The new general manager is great and has all of the ability to turn the whole place around, however over the years we have had multiple issues here and this was the last one. For example standing waiting at the door when first arriving for 10-20 minutes waiting isn’t ideal, neither is being seated incredibly close to the toilet door which all happened multiple times on different occasions but not this evening. The waiting staff are great, and the new general manager is amazing, however this place does need turning around by someone strong willed with a passion for it. Good luck for the future and I hope maybe we can come back in a few years and see improvements 🤞 but for now, would not recommend.

In a sentence. It took ages. 30 minutes after sitting down we ordered. An hour later we had mains, due to the length of time it took to receive mains we decided to order dessert during that course, which was a good idea as they arrived shortly after finishing our food. We were not the only table to be left waiting for long periods of time for food. Will not be returning. And can not recommend!

Staff were lovely and attentive and food was great apart from I asked for a cheese less burger and didn't realise until I nearly got to the end that there was cheese in it, I was compensated two free desserts but please be wary if you are lactose intolerance and make sure to check your food before eating, other than that we all had a great time :)

There was a little bit of an odd smell as you first walked in to the Harvester. That aside, the service was fab and food was good.

I always love the atmosphere here, and I am always treated very kindly. This time, Lexi made us feel at home. Thank you!

Had an absolutely amazing evening. The staff were amazing, friendly, and inviting. There was a slightly longer than normal wait, but they told us on entry what to expect due to the staff illnesses (I'd rather wait then be poorly 😂) Couldn't have asked for better service, food was delicious and the people were lovely.

Swapped our table at our request with no problem. Caroline was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious.

Place has got really run down. Floors and tables was so dirty 🤮! Salad bars items looked like they have been sat there for months. Rolls as stale as stale. Food over priced service slow don’t think will come again!

Absolutely love this venue for quality of food and service. The meal was hot, adequate and freshly cooked. The service was the usual continued friendly, attentive and efficient delivery. Our main meals were very good although after sending one ribeye back twice the diner changed to the grilled chicken which was perfect 👌🏿 Our server today was the delightful and friendly Emjay. An absolute credit to the team 👏🏿 Looking forward to visiting again soon 😀
