We are pleased we chose this restaurant as we had a very good meal and our hostess was excellent and extremely helpful.

Sarah was lovely and helped us figure out what to order quickly and with a warm tone! Very welcoming and gave the meal a great casual and friendly undertone. I ordered granola and yoghurt and it was surprisingly large and tasty, can’t recommend breakfast here enough!

My grandmother and I came in to get bottomless brunch, we had Sarah as a server. Very lovely lady, attended to all of our individual dietary needs. Would definitely come again!!

We went for a lunchtime meal with friends. All our meals were lovely. And the girl who served us was very good. The only thing that let it down a bit , was.it was so cold in there today as we believe there was problems with the heating. The girl serving us brought out a small heater. But where we were seated was not that far from.the entrance. When we visited the ladies at the end of the meal. That part was definitely not as cold as where we were sitting. Can't understand why more people weren't seated round that area ? But as stated apart from that. The meal and service was good. So many thanks to the staff , who are doing a great job

Food was a bit mediocre this time but our lady server was very good and the young chap helping her was very good too. Salad bar wasn't up to scratch and not that impressed with the meals which were either partly wrong or poorly cooked in parts.

Sarah's service was amazing at lunch we had a special request and she really did help us out. Great recommendation on food aswell and always made sure we was ok.

Was quite a bad experience we waited 1 hour for are food and when it got to the table all of it was cold. They also missed some items that we asked for then tryed charging us .I won’t recomend during the winter as it’s so cold in there . Only good part was one of the staff members was really nice

It’s an excellent place for local and visitors alike. Both bar, restaurant provide excellent atmosphere. Food and drinks are of good quality and value for money. If you are a tourist, must visit to experience local food, meet local people and go for stroll in the adjacent woods. Highly recommend.

There wasn't a great choice for smaller appetite meals, the dishes available you could not order after 5pm

First time coming to this Harvester. Came in for a breakfast. Food was tasty. Good quality sausages and everything fresh. I had the classic breakfast which as adult male with a good appetite was plenty. I got mine with the unlimited coffee. Total bill was £10.99 which is reasonable of today's market. Waitress was great, friendly and attentive. Only thing I could complain about- it was cold in the restaurant. I was in first thing in the morning so maybe needed more time to warm up.

Sarah was an amazing waitress. Made our visit better with her smiles and jokes.

We came in early about 6.30pm Sunday 17th and normally have a lovely meal. We had Millie serve us she's was great. The salad bar was practically empty and wasn't replenished until we were leaving I noticed about 8pm and my husband's rump steak had a few grisly bits. I had to ask a few times for blue cheese sauce as this is the only sauce I prefer it was eventually bought out when I had finished my salad and was onto the main course. I asked Millie why there wasn't much salad and she said it is to do with delivery, but every container was practically empty. I wish I had taken photos now. Update had the festive menu this evening Tuesday 24th Dec no salmon on the menu funny that as the High Wycombe branch didn't have it on there menu either on Sunday 24th November a bit strange why it's advertised on the menu and you actually can't have it not impressed so had turkey instead had to ask for more gravy, no cranberry sauce was offered and broccoli wasn't cooked at all we were trying to work out the bill between us at the end and we were being rushed to pay as receipt wasn't clear it should of said how many festive meals and it was all itemised individually.

Very sad to have to write this as i usually have no issues here, however i went in on the 23rd of December 2024 and the whole place was in chaos, looked like there was one server for the whole building and she was running back and forth constantly. Our food took forever to get out and when it did it was mediocre, most of the food was completely cold. However fast forward 5 hours, I have the most horrific food poisoning. I’m literally throwing up CONSTANTLY and then having to turn around and instantly have the most violent bowel movements that are 100% liquid. The stomach pains are terrible. I’ve never experienced something like this in my whole life. I definitely will never be returning here again.

Our server, Joss was a star and he made sure we were recompensed when our order was delayed. There was a lovely open fire but it was still chilly in the bar area. The menu is extensive and the food excellent.

Went on a Sunday afternoon, festive menu in place but they had run out of turkey! The main thing most people would want during the festive period. To not have a main ingredient at 2:30 in the afternoon is unacceptable. Service was poor, very slow and the restaurant wasn't even that busy. Salad bar was half empty, I mentioned this to the waitress and it took half an hour to refill it. Had to have chicken as there was no turkey, the chicken was dry. Had to ask for gravy as the waitress forgotten to bring it out. The pig in blanket that came with the roast was old, overcooked, as if it had been sat being kept warm all day. Other tables near to me were complaining too about the same things. I appreciate the Harvester isn't a Michelin Star restaurant, but the standards here have dropped considerably over the years, and I'd still expect a better experience than the one I had. I wouldn't recommend eating here.

Very understaffed, they were marvellous considering how busy they were, we were there from 12.30 to 4pm, nearly an hour between courses, wrong orders, badly cooked (burned etc) items missing off plates.

Food - disgusting: Ordered pancakes with bacon Pancakes were small flat and stodgy, the bacon was not streaky and also not crispy enough. Overall - terrible. My Partner had poached egg which looked really unappealing and he said they tasted like they had been cooked in a dirty pan.

No heating and the food was rubbish!

Won't be coming here again anytime. Coffee was cold and when sent back to be warmed up came back tepid not hot. On the third attempt we finally got a hot coffee. Salad bar was not stocked and coleslaw very grey looking, had to ask for new dressings as all were empty...waited ages but gave up waiting in the end leaving salad on side. No bread rolls available...asked but not restocked by time I walked away. Bottomless refill , several of the drinks weren't available. Although the ribs came piping hot the same couldn't be said for the chicken. Our waitress was very good with a nice smile. She was made aware of my gripe and apologized profusely for things outside of her control. We've eaten here from when it first opened but will now unsubscribe to emails and offers as nothing will get me back here again.

Table booked for 3 for 17:30. Upon arrival, we were advised that the meals would take longer than normal as they had problems with their kitchen screens. Drinks and meals were ordered - Triple Combo, Ultimate Mixed Grill, and Mixed Grill. We then overheard that the gas had gone out in the kitchen and other tables were being given temporary menus, including all new customers. Meals arrived - Triple Combo missing hot honey corn bread, Ultimate Mixed Grill all okay but steak tough, Mixed Grill missing black pudding, flat mushrooms, onion rings. Mentioned to waitress and she returned with a bowl of these. Part way through this meal, also noticed it was missing the fried egg. The gammon steak was also overcooked and like shoe leather.

I have a food intolerance of gluten free, I'm surprised that when having the breakfast that I can't have the poached eggs and the waitresses don't know why, if as a restaurant you are doing breakfast for all why can't you do gluten free bread or rolls ?

Absolutely disgusting! I ordered a classic breakfast, they placed the plastic butter containers directly on top of the food that I was supposed to eat! Who knows where those containers had been lying before! When I asked the waitress if she think that's ok, she replied that it "absolutely normal" and nothing wrong with it. Truly shocking! Avoid this place.
